Overall, I am happy and satisfied with this app. It has helped me to run better and longer distances. It also works well alongside my Spotify app or podcast app, which is wonderful. The only downside, and reason for the loss in stars, is that it doesn't seem to sync up well between different technology; I have this app installed on my phone & iPod and it doesn't seem to sync up correctly between the two. Ex: I completed run 14 on my iPod and run 15 on my phone; each says I'm on a different run.
I have just started week 4. I like the app, however, there was a time when I tried to change my distance and there was not a period on the keypad so it looks as if I ran 175 miles. I sent a note for help so maybe it gets fixed. I did upgrade but I honestly don't see a difference. I do like that I can run more than three times a week by just starting another run in the same week. Without those extra days of repetitive running I would not be able to go on to the next week.
Terrible app. If you're only looking for a guide on when to run vs. when to walk, this app is for you! But if you pay for the app, it still doesn't give your stats, such as pace, etc. Just an overall distance that may not even be accurate if GPS cuts out. I'd give 0 stars if I could. I wish I hadn't paid the $6. What an absolute waste.
I have loved this app. I made it to run 24(5 minutes warm up 30 minutes jog and 5 minutes cool down= 5km for me) but couldn't achieve a 5 km run as per run 25. The jump was too high for an old girl like me. Solution...download 10km app that breaks it down Hooray.
Ease my running process with voice guidance. Your can turn on your own music without any interaption. And " great job " sentence is really effective when you are in the middle of running distance! I recommend this app for beginners and 5km marathon trigers.
Discoverwd this app thru a Youtuber Caty Culp. I am completly new to running and very bad at it too 😔 this app has helped me tremendously as I feel I am building my endurance slowly but surely, it truely is mind over matter however I think I would like to suggest two things 1. I would be awesome if I was able to connect it to my smart watch 2. It would be helpful it I could also use it on a treadmill, as when I do my results are not recorded
The app only functions with screen on. If you turn the screen off to avoid issues with jostling while you run, the timer stops functioning and you never move to the next interval. Works okay with treadmills, where jostling isn't an issue.
Stick to the free version. The free version works brilliantly so I paid for the full app which miscalculated the distance completely. It says I covered .1 of a mile in the 30 minute session?? I have no idea what I paid for.
Loved the app in the beginning so got the paid version. Got a new phone and none of my run history came over no matter how many times I reinstalled. App now doesn't measure any distance at all - 0 km every run - maybe the paid version only gives 12 months access. Same experience with 10km paid app too. Will move on to another app now.
Really enjoy the overall idea of the app, but sometimes it completely cancels my run when I'm right in the middle of it. :( Today I did the whole run and during the cooldown it randomly canceled out and started up all over again, deleting all of my progress. Please fix this!
I wanted an app that simply tells me when to walk and when to run but when the timing is so off, it defeats the purpose. Your first few 25 minute sessions will end up being 45+ minutes. You can just feel how different in time each run and walk interval is.
The app crashed in middle of the 1st, 3rd and 4th runs. It's frustrating and annoying when you time your runs according to the prompts so crashes feel extremely irritating when you are under physical stress already. Uninstalling after giving 3 strikes to be out
I have had the paid version for about a year and enjoy the utility of this app. I like that it plots my distance run to run so I can see my improvement and it ramps up week to week very smoothly. I like that it tells me when I'm half way done with my run so I can turn around and run back to my start point half way through rather than planning my route ahead of time. I use wireless headphones. The vocal instructions are great and the app has never crashed on my Moto G6.
If you are looking for a motivating, explanatory app that will get you excited about running, this is not it. There is zero information on how to use the app or what the terms mean. I was expecting more than just a simple chart. Nothing about this app is helpful, in my opinion, for a novice runner.
easy to use, pleasant voice tells you when to walk and run, can still hear music in background when the voice is speaking. not 5 stars because it wont let me record my actual distance without paying for the upgrade. i recommend the app.
It's just a preview and nit a good one. Also, it doesn't audibly alert you to change exercises. Not good for running outside, might be okay on a treadmill where you can prop it up and watch it change from warm-up/walk/run/Cool-down.
I love this app. Use it outside and on the treadmill. Have rheumatoid arthritis so feel a little achy when I first start but this helps make me warm up enough and is perfect to use with music or podcasts. Love it!! (have a Samsung galaxy phone and haven't had any problems.)
It's okay, in the past I had Couch to 5k app but I made the switch from iPhone. Trying to avoid paying for the other app I downloaded this. During the run it was great aside from the ads but when I went to look at distance and map route. No info could be seen unless you upgrade to pro. Might as well pay for the other app as its cheaper and is just as great if not better. If you don't care to see any of your history and want it just for the run it works for just that!
