Great place for local and world news. Excellent weather reports! But, my number one reason for watching 5 News is that I can trust every word that comes out of their mouths! No speculation, no made up stories, no political agenda, just news the way it is. Unlike other stations in the area, I believe what Bob, Erica, and Matt put out, pure, plain, and simply.

Very useful app. The only issue i have is not being able to scroll the hourly and daily forcast in the weather section. Dont know if its just my phone but when i try to scroll it just takes me to the next page.

Hey I love 5 news and I love the app up until today! There was a story about a missing 11-year-old in Fort Smith..you can't even read the article because it goes off of the right side of the screen you try to move the screen over to read it and it slides over to a freaking ad. I was unable to read the article because of that! Can you fit all the words on the one main screen that you can just scroll down and read please? Thanks! 🙏🏼✌🏼❤️

App is a data hog filled with clickbait. Any news link you click on auto plays a full video/audio add that you have to physically stop. No way to turn off this function. This is an add app disguised as a news app. Edit: It gets worse. Now the sidebar opens once the page fully loads. To get rid of it you have to back out of the app and start over. Deleting this app. 5news has become a laughing stock. Can't rely on them for anything in the River Valley anymore. Edit #2: now there are popups

I wish I could just have the weather app w/out the other stuff. On this app, I can't turn off notifications for the news. I only want push notifications for weather-- not all the negative news blowing up my phone. Also, everytime I try to access the radar on the weather, it closes the app, which is very frustrating during severe weather. And my weather keeps defaulting to another town, even though I've repeatedly reset it. 5News is the best weather station, so PLEASE fix your app!

The weather is good for storms. Over all there isn't enough coverage for the River Valley. Northwest Arkansas overload.😳

Clicking on notifications often does not lead to the story. I see a notification giving me a partial headline, I click on it, and that rakes ne to a page full of other stories, but scrolling does not lead to more info on the notification. I also get too many notifications about sports and wish I could opt out of those

Too bad you can't actually see the traffic alert. The notification only shows so much of the alert, and when you click on it to get more details, it either won't load or won't correctly link to where you want to go. So then you're stuck with trying to search for it... Yeah, good luck with that.

This app has a thing come up on the screen telling you that you can scroll swiping to the side like other apps do now. This should be shown as a tutorial at the beginning when you install it and first open it. This interrupted me while I was reading a news article and made me touch the screen. I was trying to make it go away but I lost the article. This is rude and not how things should be done. It has done this more than once too. Therefore, 1 star. I will NOT be changing my review. So PISSED

I hate it. I loved the 5 News Weather app, but it no longer updates so I'm forced to use this one. I can no longer see the current temperature in my notification bar on my phone. This app is so slow to open! There is no option to immediately start with the weather section. I'm forced to read headlines when the app finally opens. NEWS FLASH: I don't want to read the news! I want the weather and that's it. And I want my local weather. I don't live near Fayetteville. I should be able to remove it.

The old app was much better. The new app forces regular news. All I need is the weather. The new app sends notifications for news and weather. I turned off the notifications for the news side of the app but it sends it anyway. Very disappointing. Im am definitely switching to a different weather app.

Bring back the old weather only app! I liked it better than The Weather Channel! Those who had the old 5News Weather app found it more helpful and easier to navigate than this app with everything - read the reviews. I had used it till recently when I had to get a new phone and that has been my biggest disappointment.

This app is filled with so many ads. I hate it. Want the old one back. I mainly use for weather and breaking news. You have to scroll past numerous ads when trying to read a news story. I would NOT recommend it at all.

I like the old app, it was easier to navigate. I thought it was just me, but a co-worker commented on it also. Maybe if there were high lighted areas to help "elderly..lol" people like me find what I'm looking for . Love channel 5.

Love this app. But cant get it to stop sending sports headlines. I used to just have weather and breaking news. Not interested in sports. Weather will not be the same when you lose Garrett! Might as well watch other stations weather.

I get frustrated with the weather app in that my default city is always set for Fort Smith, but it consistently changes to Fayetteville, which is irksome because our weather is so different. I don't know why this happens, but I'm not doing it. I go in to edit and the default is still set for Ft Smith. What's up with that???

Not near as attractive or as easy as the previous one.... if can find another station for weather, I will use it. Previous one very simple and no ads to have to deal with.

I can get my local news and weather right here with one click. The Channel 5 team are the best!

The best news weather of wanting to know what's going on around you you want to be safe the best news place I've ever had I don't watch nothing else

Going from a 5 star review to a 2 star review. The old app was so much better. The new app doesnt even update new stories or breaking news in a timely manner. I've had to download a breaking news app just to stay up to date with local news in my area. I have always watched(tv)/used 5 news(app),and I must say I'm very disappointed in this new app.

This used to be a pretty good app. Now the only stories you can read are the one's on the opening page. Links to all other stories don't work. Please fix!!!!! Samsung Note 10+
