Easy to use. Simple and effective! It takes all the guesswork and math out of the equation, tells me which plates to use, allows me to change up the exercise and has produced some immediate results. I'm loving my workouts because of this app. Well worth the premium upgrade!
App always looses my progress during a workout- it has gotten to the point where I just use it as a log, post-workout... Really wish I could find a solution to the problem. I've tried tooling around with all the different settings, but to no avail. Would be a solid 5/5 app, otherwise.
Solid, simple 5x5 app, does exactly what it should for core lifts. I'd like the ability to customise dumbbell weight for assistance lifts, however.
Great representation of 5x5 program. I wish it had links to the exercise for form checks, and I wish the "Pro" version designation/purchase requests went away after you purchased the app. Had to go back to my wallet to make sure it went through. Also... Wish the timer didn't go off again after you were done with the workout. #notallowedtostop
Middling at best. Unless I have yet to find it there is no way to tweak your 5rm from initial start-up, you have to wipe all data. Dev has another app for 5-3-1 that has a 3 week trial for pro features and you can easily edit 1rm data. Everything here is paywalled at the start. You can sort of get a 5x5 set up in the 5-3-1 app, but it's not exact. Both of these apps should be combined
Great app, great developer. I'd like to see an area with the weight/body section where you can record the measurements of your, neck, shoulders, chest, lats, arms, forearms, waste, hips, thighs, and calves. Also, the ability to see it graphed in that section as well.
The app overall is decent. I do think a good feature to add would be to allow the user to customize the number of warmup sets they want to do. For me, I like at least 4 warmup sets for squats, but the app is fixed to 3 for every exercise.
Perfect 5x5 workout app. The developer and responsive and fixes bugs right away. The apps Is straight forward and easy to use. Definitely worth spending money and going Pro. I will look forward to future upgrades and improvements.
Allows you to stay on focus in regards to rest periods. App can be modified for specific targets and goals. A little tricky in regards to adding weights the long way, but better than carrying an exercise journal around.
Probably the most complete 5x5 app on the market. Assistance exercise selection with adjustable rep ranges and sets. Progression on the big 5 WITH adjustments when you finally fail and everything ELSE you would want. Like stronglifts but more user friendly.
Deadlift/Saving functionality has been restored. Lots of features still behind the paywall, but it works now, at least. I got this because Stronglifts put everything behind a paywall too. I may update my rating if I break down and buy pro mode, but for now there's not a huge difference between this and the Stronglifts app. Still, I like this one a little better.
My last review was bitter- the app is good. I found bugs and the devs responded to them, and fixed them quickly. How often does that happen with other apps? I was upset about losing the pro features because they're nice to have, honestly. If you feel like spending the $6-7, you probably won't regret it. Sorry guys, you made a nice app, hope it pays off :)
Its a good app but it doesnt calculate microplates. I have 1kg and 0.5 kg plates and it never uses them in the plate calculation, even though i added them to the available weight plates. Also, sometimes the app reverts back to lbs instead of kg. Apart from this its a good app to use 5x5.
Love it. Great training tool if you want to get strong!!
Fairy good, few glitches. Sometimes loses data inputted during workout, so now i finish working out, then input all info at once. Really like the simple design and use of the app.
The timers for warm-up and actual sets will not be different. Other than that Google fit integration and warmup exercises are helpful. Have not played with assistant lifts yet.
There is no option to modify a previous workout. I deleted a deadlift set and now i cannot get it back whatever i do. i am only 5 workouts into the program but if i wanna start over i can't add workouts in the past. this app is a scam, you pay so much money for practically no flexibility. LE: I tried editing the day. i cannot add a main exercise (DL), only assistance. i also cannot edit the rest days in between.
Good, simple app. My only complaint is the inability to change the warm up set weights. Far too low of a percentage.
It's just a simple and great way to motivate yourself. Fully costumizable for more advanced training.
It's a great app overall but would be nice to have a timer option to replace reps for when I want to add planks as an assistance exercise.
Three issues. Changing the number of deadlifts caused no change in app behavior. Second issue - I have 50 lbs weights which isn't supported. Third, it didn't increment my squat between A and B workouts
A very nice app for the 5x5 workout. NO adds on the free version and ONE time purchase on the Pro version so NO stupid anual/month subscription made me support the developer and bought the upgraded version!
