i never review apps, but this one is fantastic. this is a pen and scorebook feel to modern tech. worth the price tag, i know its a little steep for an app, but well worth. i would recommend, taking the time to play around with the app and watch the 12 minute tutorial.
Great score card app. My only complaint is that the imported MLB rosters need to be updated more often. Looks like they're still last season's rosters.
Abandonware. No updates in 8 years. Roster import stopped working.
Does not operate as it should when trying to move players from bag to bag. I wasted my money for sure. I do not recommend.
love the APP but wish the rosters could be updated more. Scoring the Astro's & Yankees I might get 3 or 4 on the roster to pull in the rest I have to input.
Good app does what I need but o e thing it doesnt save my lineups from game to game is this som6that can be added
Broken app will not work
I downloaded this in 2011, and gave it a well deserved 5 stars. I loved drawing around the base paths to denote what kind of hit it was, and the big draw for me was importing the MLB rosters. But unfortunately, it stopped being updated years ago. Now the imports are not up to date, so I feel less inclined to use this app, especially considering the abandonment by the developer.
To make this a 5 star app, they need better editing capabilities. I wanted to delete a wrong at bat, and it is not possible. Messed up my scorecard because of that. I wanted to change a hit but the edit screen won't let me. I want to love this app, but it you aren't nearly perfect entering the at bats, you are out of luck and will end up with an incorrect scorecard.
I cannot praise this app enough. I have been using traditional scorecard notebooks for years and this app changed that. No more looking back to see how a player performed as the app gives you this information up front. Stats are automatically calculated for the player and team after every game so no more worrying over those calculations yourself. Can't figure out how to score something? The developer has the best support I've experienced on the Android platform bar none!! If you like to keep score, this app is a *MUST HAVE* and you will not be sorry. I only wish I had found it sooner. Keep up the great work!!!
I've been looking for a baseball scorekeeping Android app. Most baseball scorekeeping apps look like they were designed using Windows 95. I thought if I would pay for an app that maybe I would satisfy my quest. I am still looking. 6-4-3 is kind of clunky, but overall it gets the job done. Where it fails is by not giving you a way to fix a mistake you might make while scoring a play. I made a mistake in entering the batting order. Once you have closed an inning, it is impossible to fix (or I could not fix it after trying everything that I could imagine). The scorekeeper is stuck, and you may as well close it out the game, put away your device and start knitting. The one thing I thought was cheesy was the option to download MLB rosters. I was pleased that it offered this option. Unfortunately, the roster it downloads was two months old. That's pure laziness for people who have bought and paid for an app. Pencil and paper is a better alternative than 6-4-3.
Best app I've downloaded so far...very minor learning curve if you already score on paper. Hardest part is remembering to handle all base runners before moving to the next hitter. But even then the 'edit event' feature can help you fix just about any screw-up right down to the pitch sequence. Developer is highly responsive and usually responds to e-mail within hours. I reported a minor bug after game 1 of weekend series and received an updated fix before game 2!!! Highly recommended.
I downloaded this app to help out boys' team keep stats. The app doesn't allow me to finish scoring a single game! App freezes or stops working, giving me an "invalid player move" message. I've also lost games when it didn't save them. I want money back!
I converted from pencil & scorecard to this app for over a year now. At first it was a little confusing but it really got easy once you figure the tricks. This has changed my way of scoring a game. I played an entire APBA season and haven't had an issue. If I mess up keeping a stat during the game, I can go back and edit the score sheet before I finalize the game. You might get irritated because of certain extra steps, but you can always turn off those in Preferences. Just stick with it , trust me!
I have been using scoring apps since they were in DOS format. I have scored for high school and college baseball teams. I know scoring. Currently, my interest is in teaching my nephew to keep score at NY Mets games. This app seems simple to use at first, but as soon as things get more complicated than a simple 6-3 or f8, you're in for a challenge. This app was very frustrating to use. We have been using iScore with the MLB addition for the last few games, it is rather expensive, but it is worth it; it is completely intuitive unlike this app.
I really like this definitely worth the money. Takes some getting used to but if you know anything about score keeping you can get it pretty easily. Could use some more customizable features. Easily start a game can drop into the middle of a game no problem.
It is great, but does take some getting used to. I don`t understand how to update the stats. I wish stats traveled with each player.
Had to play with sensitive settings to get program to work. Still hoping some functions get added like d3s. Designer really cares and gets back with you fast. Really like that
i love this app being a mlb worker it one of the best apps i used the only thing is i can't get version for my window tablet..... please make one for windows
I downloaded this app and started playing around with it. I created a mock game to become familiar with the interface. I figured it out after about an hour but than it stopped working. When I touch the diamond to advance a runner nothing happens. I went on another device because I thought the issue may be the screen but that too didn't work. I think there must be something wrong with the app. for $7.99 the developer better get this corrected. if this happened during a game I'd be pissed
