I really enjoy this app. I'm currently on week 5, and I'm seeing great results. Update 1: I finished the course and now I regularly use the shuffle feature. I'm still seeing good results, although I think it would be better to use some equipment (I've selected body weight only), such as the pull-up bar: those exercises kill.

I enjoy the variety of exercises! But there is one problem that I really dislike about the app. The timer will begin to skip randomly and what is suppose to be a 30 seconds excerise will turm to a 15 second excerise. That needs to be fixed. It is aggravating when you are trying to get the best out of a workout and that is constantly happening. Please Fix!

Great app, but needs more time between exercises. The few seconds that you get mean you have to run between stations (sometimes) or transitions. The fact that you don't have the option to pause it in those very few seconds of transition time to get into position for the next exercise is also a little frustrating. This is my only criticism; everything else is great!

The workouts themselves are great. The app leaves a bit to be desired. It was recently updated which fixed a few things but broke more things and cleared all my progress. Currently there is no sound when the current exercise ends, just announcing that a new exercise has begun. The alert feature doesn't alert at the correct time, it sends an alert whenever it wants to. The workouts don't stay on the current week, I have to shuffle through them to get to the week I'm on.

The workouts are great when the app works correctly. However, there are some pretty annoying issues. Firstly, some of the workouts don't load; they just display a blank screen and the timer doesn't work. Secondly, the app very inconsistently starts and stops whatever music you have playing. Every time when there are 10 seconds remaining in the exercise, it stops the music for those 10 seconds.

I really like this app, a lot of exercises and nicely structured. I use the random-feature exclusively. Helps me get my core workout in everytime, anywhere and with enough variety to keep interesting . Having said that here are some things that can be improved or added: There is no way to organize the favorite workout list, that would be a great addition. Sometimes the workout stops spontaneously in the middle, which is annoying. Sometimes the sound bugs out when listening to music.

Been using this app for about 2 years, and it's great and has a variety of exercises you can customise to suit your needs/equipment. Saying this the recent update has been a downgrade, many of the text boxes are cut off. For example, the total workout timer doesn't show anymore, the exercise timer only shows one digit (6 when it's 60), and many other text boxes ("shuffle" now shows as "shuffl" on the main page). I'm presuming these will be fixed soon, and other than these I would recommend.

I love the brief workouts. Lots of different variations keeps the workout from getting boring or doing the same exact routine every time. I wish the demonstrations or the examples of the various exercises were a little more detailed. I have not figured out how to get music to play on the app. Overall, a great app, my favorite workout app!

This app offers a great, simple to follow plan with instructional videos. The "Shuffle" feature is another gem, with your ability to change your fitness level frok beginner to advanced, it gives you everything to get a strong core. But if you want to finish that 6 pack look, you gotta be honest with yourself about your eating habits. The nutrition part of this app also gives you another piece of the puzzle, well worth upgrading to the Pro version.

Why not give the ability to choose which exercises you want to do,length of time for each, and the ability to save them if you have the pro version? 8/4/21 Update: The app is not working correctly when it comes to using the Shuffle feature. I am able to select which equipment I'm using,and experience level. But when it returns to the actual workouts, I can't shuffle them. It just stays frozen. Even rebooting the app does not fix this.

This is by far the most comprehensive and effective Ab App, I have ever seen or used. It even gives you meal options, snack options, plays a video clip of the exercise l you're performing while you're doing it, allows you to tap somewhere else, to see where the specific focus on the Abs is for each particular exercise, counts down the timing of the exercises as well as the rest time. And the workouts are all short but intense. It also is scalable for different fitness levels.

I like the structure and how the app runs. I just wish it had a some alternative exercises for some of the harder movements. Some of these movements I can't even get close to executing (mainly the ones where your back and legs leave the ground) because I'm coming from a background of very very little core training. If some alternative exercises were added so I could progress at my own pace and still get a good workout, I would give this 5 stars.

new update fixed many issues. Shuffle has a bug where it doesnt change the workout but still increments the number, so you have to manually hit reshuffle. Timer font is too small. Can't turn off workout reminder so have to block all notifications from the app. Other than that, this is an extremely useful app that I use everyday, thanks for making it!

I was so happy this was available to purchase without a workout plan. I like the surprise of shuffling workouts. I always feel like I got a good workout after. Update: 4 weeks in and I have ab definition. I can see the improvement week by week. I like the feature that lets you take progress pictures. I have not had any app performance issue either.

Really can't recommend this enough! I've been using it for about a month now and can definitely see the results! Each session takes 4-9 minutes so makes it so easy to fit in every day. I was sceptical that it would be too short to get any benefit but try the hardest setting and see if you can finish it! I tend to just use the shuffle option and choose what equipment or none to include and the meal plan is handy for some quick ideas. Upgrade to pro is less than £2 and 100% worth it!

Great app and great excerises! Would highly recommend! Just a few things I wish would be different. Wish you were able to adjust the volume of the voice in the background cause it's awfully loud and annoying when you are playing music, also wish there was more time in-between excerises to prepare for the next and catch your breath. Great app non the less though 👍🏼

Great app, but I am really missing a function where I can exclude certain exercises from Shuffle, so they don't show up anymore. I can't do some of the exercises because of medical or practical reasons and now I have to constantly re-shuffle until I get a workout that fits. Several friends of mine mentioned the same issue. If this could be implemented I would definitely rate it 5 stars!

It's probably the best ab app on the market. But. I'm not sure what I paid £2 for and it crashes a lot. Annoying when it take time to uninstall and re install again when time is limited at the gym. Otherwise its great. I can see the use if you want to extend the period just work through the same Excercises twice. At the moment I'm sticking with the apps suggestions and building it up over the 8 weeks.

This is my favorite workout app by far. It starts out light, but by week 2 that friendly voice that says "change directions" becomes a cruel slave driver. Overall the workouts are fast and effective and this app makes it so easy. The meal shuffler is great bonus feature that helped me find healthy options. Although I wish I could save or make a list of meals to plan for the week. Oh well, I just kept hitting shuffle and wrote them down. 5 stars. love this app, it changed my life.

Wow! This is a fantastic app for getting a great ab workout with enough variety and challenge to keep me engaged. I like the meal ideas and would like to make them. Is there a way to access the full meal plan so I can shop for the food beforehand? If there is, that would make this app perfect... Edit: I contacted Athlean X about the food and received a great explaination. Their customer service is excellent.

I like the app and the interface is clean and easy to use. The workout section includes a video of the exercise, diagram of the targeted muscles and while the exercise is being performed the video plays. My only complaint is that I don't have a fitness ball, I do this workout at work on my break and don't have access to a fitness ball and not way of opting out of using one with a workout that doesn't need one. Great app would purchase again.

Showing how to do the exercises with gifs and which part of the abs you are hitting is great. But the search is very limited, it should have some filters if you want to search for upper abs exercises for example. I also miss picking specific exercises instead of workouts as favorites and being able to create my own routine. And the "Train" function doesn't let you pick the equipment you have, I can't follow since week 4, so I end up just shuffling exercises and not using the calendar. Thanks!

Overall the workouts are great. However it is not clear upfront what equipment eventually is going to be needed for the regular training schedule, there is an option to choose no equipment (shuffle) although this is not part of the regular training schedule, at the regular training schedule you can skip exercises on the day itself. Reminders can not be turned off just set at a different time. The looks of the app itself could be better.

This app is really really good. In fact this is the only app that i have actually spent money on. The main feature that i like about this is the variations of the exercises. It never lets your body hit a plateau by constantly changing the pattern of the exercise routine. I really like the shuffle function also. When the normal ab routine consists of many exercises that uses yoga ball i do a routine from the shuffle. But i can't find the function, to get a routine that isolate one muscle group.

BEGINNERS PROCEED WITH CAUTION. There's definitely room for improvement. You can't play a video while you pause a workout. You aren't able to change the difficulty. Day one is not beginner friendly. I can do some of Jeff's workouts but others are extremely hard to do. This app is meant for intermediate to advanced body building enthusiasts. Beginners can still use it but will have to modify a lot of the workouts.

Hey devs, I recently started using the app again, and it's having issues where it won't load in the exercises in the middle of the workout. It just freezes, and I have to swipe over to the next exercise. It starts at day 8, then at day 13 (I think) the last exercise won't load, so I can't "complete" the workout and move to day 14. I un-installed and re-installed, and am having the same issue again. I'm on a Samsung Galaxy Note 10. That being said, when it was working before, I loved the app!

Plenty of challenge and variety here. Clear demonstrations of every exercise, audio prompts and timer let the user concentrate on putting out their best effort. You can even get visual on which group of abdominal muscles each exercise is targeting. If a particular series of exercises is not to your liking, you can press the shuffle button for a different one.
