I really like the app but I've only had it one day and now whenever I try to open it says network request failed. I tried resetting my phone I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app etc nothing is working.... Really need help please and I agree the tabs on mobile are a little clunky it keeps popping stuff up I have to exit out of just to be able to scroll and type at all and alot of the time the app freezes or kicks you off mid talk edit: 7cups help page has nothing on this issue, help!
5stars for this certain listener named "fossil". I screenshot our chat coz i've changed phones. And i return to their words of wisdom from time to time when i feel lost. Their words until now keep me going. Edit: app interface still needs improvement
Kind of disappointed, as I was chatting kept getting ads about the app. Annoying. To add insult to injury, after just a minute "sorry, gotta go." Thanks for nothing. Update: I filter for available and it shows everyone that is offline. This app is a joke, no one is available to chat most of the time, and the times there are don't want to chat. No help at all
It's been a year now that am facing an Issue, I don't receive messages on time, the app stops in the middle I need to reboot and a lot of glitches innumerable types of. You have caused me immense trauma and loss of members and ruined my day. Make sure you do it as soon as possible.
It's a really helpful and free app to interact with a community going through similar mental health issues. One can even record their daily growth using daily milestones - found it to be really helpful for me!!
I had episodes of mental depression in several stages of my life.. I couldn't handle it by my own.. Every body needs a listener when nobody hears us.. This app provide a good platform for sharing emotions and getting us up back to life .. Thankyou developers for this great app.. I'll suggest this to my friends too...
Great service, at least it truly seems like it so far. The 7cups community emphasizes, and I mean really emphasizes positivity. Plus for a fee you can also be teamed up with a a therapist - a service I am currently finding helpful. Another fun feature with 7cups is they have lots of "progression mechanics" like in video games. Youll earn badges, level up, and unlock more resources. Very cool way to encourage regular engagement. I'm a fan, for sure.
Not a replacement for actual therapy, but a great place to talk about your issues without worrying about burdening people you know. All the listeners I've had have been very nice and comforting. It's a great place to go when you just need to talk to someone right this minute. Listeners are usually connected to you pretty fast, but sometimes it takes a few minutes.
I have had two experiences. 1 listener made me feel worse. however, a listener that I connected with day one not only took over my crisis episode but he was able to calm me down so I wouldn't hurt myself. And for that alone this app is totally worth the free ear and group talks. definitely recommend this app. AND it's all private. no personal info gets exchanged. first names if your comfortable with that. the app sensors key words and immediately sends you to a place to call a crisis hotline.
Helpful on my most desperate timings. And best of all, could be absolutely free.
Really nice platform for both members and listeners. Members can talk anonymously. Listeners can spend some time chilling in sharing circles. But there are some issues with the app - 1. App takes much time to load. 2. Sometimes same message appears twice or thrice in the chat. 3. There are limited features in app compared to the web version. Please add them all here also. 4. Links such as - 'My Impact' can't be assessed from app or even web unless you know the link. There should be an option.
While I can appreciate the intent of this app, I think it's really only helpful for very surface-level issues. I contacted 2 Listeners, who were very highly reviewed and noted a specialty in depression and related issues, and both seemed extremely taken aback by my indication that my depression was long-term and not as a result of just a bad day. And they both never responded thereafter. I don't really blame them, after all, why would an average person be equipped to deal with those kind of issues? But that's exactly the point. This app presents itself as a beneficial form of therapy (I mean it's literally in the name - "Online Therapy for Mental Health & Anxiety") but I really don't think it's valuable for much other than extremely short-term, surface-level issues that can be solved by a quick conversation.
It does well what it set out to do, and it does truly help. I can appreciate that greatly. 1 star less due to bugs (and could use some tweaks here and there), but if they get it fixed, I'm happy to give it 5 stars.
I can't even sign up in this app, everytime i try to sign up it's telling me "please enter a valid email adress". Please check your bugs, it's frustrating.
It's easy to jump in a chat and start to get the help your looking for on the down side the app keeps crashing and freezing up kicking me out.
Well it has potential to help you, at first it's so overwhelming with options and little explanation of what they are, also the app is buggy. It'll freeze not let me use the back button ect (trust me its not my phone). Plus there's no way to go "back" through your path. So if you found a specific exercise ti be helpful make sure you remember it or write it down because your can't repeat it! Also, mine keeps jumping around saying i finished something wont let me see what I completed so I'm not sure I did it, even though I'm pretty sure I didn't. The chat option is easy enough and straight forward, except when chatting with the bot, she kept talking about something that had nothing to do with my original concern. These issues are what's preventing me from using the paid option.
This app is clunky and unpredictable. The text jumps around and changes as you scroll sometimes. The interface has menus that open on the left and on the right and can get stuck when you try to switch back. There is not a way to contact tech support within the app. The service concept is great, but the software is cartoonish, bulky, and unpredictable. I would suggest focusing less on making it pretty and more on making it reliable.
Great way to connect people in need of emotional help, but the aps needs improvement. For instance, I can't change my profile picture and sometimes my latest chat couldn't be read and disappear from the screen as if I haven't texted it before. I thought it's because I haven't updaed it, but turned out my version is the latest. Hope the issue can be fixed soon.
I only have one complaint. The app is kind of buggy and it lags a lot (for example, I can't switch between my Listener and Member accounts on the app). Other than that, it is a helpful app with a ton of resources for different kinds of problems. I would love to give this app a perfect review, because it is certainly helpful, but the app does need some fixing. Nonetheless, it's a wonderful app with many resources and help at your disposal at any time. I am definitely glad I found it.
I found some fantastic people to talk to. They helped me through a lot. This was through group chat. The feature is gone, and was at a loss unable to contact friends. Statuses went away, too. The annoying positivity text spams you when chatting through the app. But this site and the app have taken a bad turn, personally. Good luck to everyone on their journey.
So I just started using this app, as a recommendation from Truefeels, and started chatting with Noni. Shortly after I began, parts of the past messages either jumped ahead or suddenly disappeared, making it a bit difficult for me to follow the messages if I wanted to reread the conversation in the future. Aside from this minor but confusing problem, I find the app quite nice and easy and quick to navigate and learn its functions. If you could help fix the issue, I'd love that.
There is a bug in the settings where the loading wheel on "Save Changes" just keeps spinning on and on and doesn't allow you to turn off emails or notifications. I can turn off notifications directly on my phone settings, but the email spam is a pain. Having a bug in such a basic part of the app like the settings makes me wonder about the safety of the rest of it; an anonymous chat isn't really doing its purpose if it doesn't work correctly.
I've been using it for a while and i does help, but it could be better. Starting with finding a listener, it takes me a long time to find available listeners, i mean when i search it says available but i never get the chance to talk to them, even when i talk to someone, we just talk like for three to four minutes then stops replying. Not sure why that happens but it does happen. Another feature would be helpful, and that is if you add when was the listener last active, that would help alot.
The growth path is helpful, but everything else is 50-50. It all depends. Sometimes it can get difficult to navigate and confusing. It asked if I wanted to become a listener and this is how it went: Signed up to become a listener > It gave me the choice to pick between the listener account or my member account > I pressed the listener button > it looped around back to the sign up page. I tried it again but pressed on "member" and it did the same thing. I can't find the training anywhere as well.

Hey 7 Cups Team! I really like the idea of your network. But this app definitely needs improvements. I am visual impaired so I had my phones font size in a large level... which wasn't possible with this app. I couldn't open a chat or other things. I tried to use it with TalkBack then, which didn't work as well. Please improve the app and make it more accessible. Thanks!
Not bad. Needs more attentive mods. Mostly good, but always very laggy. It's difficult to follow conversations in the chat rooms since messages can take a loooong time to load.
