Good app. It is very similar to another 7-minute workout app I used. What I prefer with this app is that it actually gives you a few extra seconds between exercises to catch your breath. Another thing I prefer about it is that the side planks are broken into 15-second segments for right and left instead of a full 30 seconds each. My only reason for removing one star is because the images of the people don't actively demonstrate the exercises.
I have been using this app for several months, 4-5 days a week, switching between the main and alternate routines. I'm definitely in much better shape and much stronger generally than when I started. The app is well organized, the audio prompts are great, and it's easy to navigate. I do wish I could switch from one routine to another quickly, without having to wait for the sliding bar animations, but that's a minor thing. The only issue I've had, and this applies to all Zen Labs apps on my phone, is that the sound (and sometimes the entire app) gets glitchy if you don't do a Force Stop before trying to run another one. I do wonder if that's actually some kind of bug in how audio is implemented on LG phones. Regardless, I highly recommend this app. I've tried a few other HIIT apps, but have always come back to this one.
Good strong, quick workout. Clear vocals, when they work. Good visuals. Explanations for exercises are clear and include videos but are separate from the workouts. BUT when I did more than one workout in a row, the app started glitching. First the sound cut out, then the timer started playing up and I couldn't continue. Please fix! Would prefer if the workout included an animation or video loop of someone doing the exercise while I was doing it, to remind me of correct technique.
Nice when you need a quick sweat-fest. I like how you get two workouts, but have the option to purchase more, either as a whole or individually. It would be nice if the workout purchased individually would show up right after the two included with the app rather than having to scroll through ones you haven't purchased. I'd also like if your workout could be imported into My Fitness Pal. Overall, it's a good app without any problems thus far.
There needs to be a pause in the middle of the plank circuit to give you time to switch sides! The base app is ok but the premium upgrade is trash. I was expecting workout variations like other apps offer, but all it does is add the option to lengthen circuits and repeat circuits. I thought it was worth the $5 to get the same features with better vocalization/UI but nope, this app is just lacking in features. I'll be switching to a competitor's app.
this app is good. theres a few stuff that could be fixed. i paid for the full thing, and i still get ads when i go see the workout instructions. second, i wish you could create your own 12 step workout. third, the side plank need to get separated into left and right, it splits the selected time into two for the side planks (i.e. if the side plank instructs for 30 seconds, it'll do left and right as 15 second each, shoule be 30 each side). hope y'all update!
Great App! I find the user interface excellent and quite friendly :) The voice prompts and ticking time count are very motivating in my opinion. Really a good home exercise buddy. Can't go to the gym? Fine. This only takes 7 minutes of your day, and the benefits of being active are just countless. No more excuses, period 😉
Amazing customer service team and the app itself gives perfect home workouts
Too Many Ads; Hard To Figure Out - Uninstalling.
Brilliant way to keep you focused on achieving fitness goals. Simple and easy to use
I truly appreciate this app. I was looking for a HIIT app, and although I am not sure if this is exactly what fits the bill, but I think it keeps Bill fit. Hahaha. No, but seriously it is straightforward in its basic functionality, you can buy additional add-ons for money but it works for free which is greatly appreciated especially right now. I'm happy to pay for software but I just can't at this very moment. A big thank you
Lots of fun, for the premium I wish it were more customizable. Have to combine it with other apps for real progress but as a supplemental routine, it works well. Edit: I do have the premium version but changing to five stars because with premium, it's a good app to do at the end of a separate workout
bought the full version. Pro: it lets you change the length of each set, how long your breaks are, and how many cycles Con: adds don't go away even though it says they do. each exercise set has to load before you scroll to the next one good app to get motivated
a good app to keep you paced up for home exercise... specially in these times....covers the entire body and doesn't need any special equipments.... a good option would have been where they could take us from beginners to advanced levels by increasing difficulty or repetition....
So far I've only used the free workouts and I really enjoy them. Super easy to use and very motivating. I usually do the 7 minutes after my run. Btw, for the running I'm using C25K by the same developers and it's also a great app for which I actuly bought the upgrade. I suppose sooner or later I'll upgrade this one as well - I'm so hooked!
The timer is good, good quick guided workout. the tutorials aren't great, the videos only work some of the time. I also paid for the premium version and I STILL get a ton of ads. I wouldn't recommend this app to anyone.
the thought of exercising is excruciating to me but my cholesterol keeps inching higher so i have to either work out or die slowly on my couch. This app is perfect in the sense that it's short, quick and effective at helping me stay motivated. i don't have to leave my home. i can do this in my pj's. i can do it almost anywhere at any time and i appreciate the app for all of these reasons. thank you for helping me.
This workout is extremely effective in targeting most major muscles as well as increasing stamina and flexibility. You can do it just about anywhere. If you think it's easy I challenge you to do three sets in a row. The ads are a bit annoying but it's free. It's a great addition to a workout regimen.
Rediscover this recently and getting on with the exercises. Annoying that there aren't animations that demonstrate the exercises but it does link to YouTube video and good description. Would recommend, good quick workout.
Something simple and straight forward to use. The only suggestiong is a way to jump to a list view instead of swiping to change as workouts have a really long transtion animation and wont let you move to the next work out in the sequence with out loading the current one
There are better apps. You have to dig for your info in the app, it's kind of annoying. Extra star because it was an intense workout. Not HIIT though. It also had apps during the workout, wich defeats the purpose.
this app really helps me feel good, and gets me properly in the mood for exercise. great to use as a warm up aswell. Just what i needed! the only flaw is that there is only 2 free workouts, you have to buy the rest, but the free ones are still great! really helped my lifestyle improve:-)
Man, after the first 2 times of doing the first 7 minute workout, I was able to do twice as many exercises in the 30 seconds, and I was able to set it for doing the workout twice (14 min total)! I can see the results already!! I am now using it on the days that I leave work late and can't make it to the gym, or when I have limited time.
I love the motivational expressions I get when I open the app. And I love the fact that these workouts can be done anywhere with virtually no equipment, very little space and minimal time.
Great, brief workouts! Only 7 minutes at a time, but still feel it in my muscles. Plan to do these brief workouts several times throughout the day. Don't have time to spend an hour straight at the gym, but can certainly carve out several 7 minute sessions as breaks during the workday.
Easy to Use. The app is great for a quick 7 minute workout, just like the title implies. I've only used the free version and I enjoy it occasionally. I use this app as a supplement to other programs.
The workouts are exactly as advertised - quick and efficient. Definitely work-up a sweat in my down seasons when I'm not as active and makes for good warm-ups in seasons when I'm more active and consistent in my crossfit and hiit programs. Only reason for the 4 stars is that for the free version there are only 2 workouts to choose from. But comes in handy when I'm in a pinch and don't want to create my own.
