The app has a few good features such as the downloads from the online store are great and the store experience is good. But, it also has quite a few issues that make the user experience unenjoyable. Such as, when you are playing music the banner at the bottom covers the bottom entry in a list of artists or songs, not saving the state of the queue when exiting the app so it always starts again. Worst of all, with the new update the app opens and immediately crashes!
The app developers could take some inspiration from either Tidal or Qobus. It's ok in terms of listening to my downloaded albums from 'My Music', but from a selling point in terms of it's 'Store' - it is pretty poor in terms of its user interface, the whole look doesn't grab me by the balls, compared to it's website. The music player itself needs a more funky upgrade, whilst playing it cool at the same time.
Started with 7D years ago but the selection not only hasn't improved but declined rapidly. Also music I've purchased is becoming unavailable which would be fine if a replacement from another album took it's place or a free purchase was added to my account. Fortunately I've saved everything that's been removed in it's zipped format previously to an external drive. I'd spend a few hundred a year if there were artists worth their salt in the library. Also, monthly streaming service is for hosers
The albums that you buy becomes unavailable after a while. There is no way to change the homescreen which means that you will see album covers that you find tasteless every time you start the app. If you use the app connected to Bluetooth (in car) the app will start automatically playing the same damn song from start every time you start the car. The only way to stop it is to go into the queue list and manually remove the songs or in my case uninstall the app.
Pretty third rate. The app is unbelievably slow to navigate. It takes hours for new purchases to appear for download. The catalogue is very small. Almost nothing is available in high quality, eg FLAC. The new releases list hasn't updated in 6 months or more. Other than that it's Stellar.
It's 3 stars at best. Get your music in the browser version of this. No option to just buy flac files, it just says download flac if available in the settings options. Everything says mp3 +aac, so not near the quality of a full file. Dont waste your time. I guess I'll check in a while and see if this is fixes.
This is a great FLAC store and good replacement for Google Music Play store that got shut down. 1 star off because wish they keep updating this app and offer a larger catalog because some artists I search doesn't have the complete album/EP list I want to buy. Otherwise great alternative if you like buying music and playing offline!
The app is OK, but the content doesn't seem to get updated very often. The same albums have been featured on the front page for several months. Some of the albums listed as "future releases" were actually released last year!
One of the most unreliable places to buy your music, and they have the cheek to call your music storage a "locker". Regularly, you will find they no longer have the rights to let you download music you have paid for even within less than a month of buying it (Bridges Not Walls by Billy Bragg).
Seemed like a good app but it won't play any of my songs once they are in a playlist. :( I have to go to each cd and find each song for them to play. Im teaching ballet so I need a playlist to get anything done!!!! Please fix!
I downloaded this app after purchasing music from your store. I discovered I had to get the app, for some reason, to download my music on mobile. Now, the app tells me it's "waiting" to download it after having already started earlier. Waiting on what? Give me the music I bought. By the way, your download speed is sooooooooo slow compared to any other service, and sometimes they decide to just fail. You can't pay for decent servers?
business built for decline? what is up with this company. i have bought close to 100 albums here ove the years..was shopping first time in a whole and found "my music" in many cases was no longer avail...huh?!...also while trying shop, search functional constantly fails, shopping cart randomly empties?...did the idiots take over the asylum?...back to amazon where i guess i should have stayed for digital music...tune shopping for lusers here apparently
Clunky, crashes often and has trouble updating purchased music. The store interface doesn't work well. I buy.on the website and download with the app..
Okay it does not stream the album I bought. It can download the music, but there's no streaming. It seems capable as a music player but everyone's device already has that.
I like this site. Update: lost a lot of purchased music due to now being "unavailable". Guess I lost my money, too. Better site is Soundike. Purchases are a fraction of the cost, and there are none of these stupid issues.
The app crashes everytime a download finishes. It has to be manually relaunched after that, making the app tedious to use and very unfriendly to the user.
1/3rd of the music I bought suddenly becomes unavailable to me. Customer service told me I should have backed up my original dl. So much for cloud service. Stay away. They don't care about the customer. Didn't even offer some other , different dl. I lost at least $200!
People are complaining about music disappearing from the sight. They tell you to download your music. Also had an issue with my KEY2, downloaded and music would not play. Had to download ASUS file Manager. Problem solved. Music will now play through Google Play. 👍
Cant find music on this app, but when I go to the 7 digital browser site and search for the same music it shows up. App seems pretty useless.
Terrible service all around. App is broken. Albums you pay for can and will be removed from the website. You won't have access to music YOU PAID FOR! They tell you to download your files immediately for this reason. Still feels like theft to me. I won't buy anymore music from them. Streaming services are going to kill this company anyway. Based on the app performance right now? Probably already happened.
The app is US-centered. It cannot display the contents and past purchases of my UK account. Similarly, it doesn't display all of the products which are available on the UK desktop website.
Was eager to find an alternative to iTunes Music Store but to be honest, the app is a complete letdown: pricey music, outdated and buggy UI, hard to navigate, incomplete and unsorted results, artists with the same name are mixed together, only one payment option (PayPal)... I'll stick to iTunes for as long as I can instead
