7th Sea: A Pirate's Pact

Fight for what's right—as an up and coming pirate! Battle slavers, sea monsters, and your own corrupt government to become a hero of the high seas. But will you betray your own crew for wealth and power?

"7th Sea: A Pirate's Pact" is a 200,000-word interactive adventure novel by Danielle Lauzon, set in the world of the table-top role playing game 7th Sea. It's entirely text-based, without graphics or sound effects, and fueled by the vast, unstoppable power of your imagination.

Looking for adventure at sea? You’ll get more than you bargained for when you end up joining a pirate crew. These pirates are known among sailors for having their own moral code, one that is now yours. You'll have the chance to rescue prisoners, uncover a secret plot, and even build a navy to liberate an island fort full of slaves.

But you'll also be tempted to break your pirate bonds to seek your own gain. Would you still free the slaves if you could take out your own rivals instead? How far will you go to save your friends? And when you uncover corruption in your homeland, will you choose villainy or vengeance?

Earn your crew's loyalty and they might make you their captain, but get careless and you might have to walk the plank!

• Play as male, female, or non-binary; gay, straight, bi, asexual, or poly.
• Choose from three different nations as your homeland, with distinct stories for each.
• Romance other pirate captains, or compete with them as your rivals.
• Fight for good, or work for evil.
• Lead a rescue, uncover a secret plot, and defeat tyranny.
• Visit various island nations to win them to your side and build a navy.

If it's the pirate's life for you, what will you sacrifice for freedom?

I like it a good addition to my choice library it's not too many choices that really change the outcome of the story I feel 3 playthroughs later it's still pretty much linear unless I'm just missing something truthfully I have a hard time in even the most expansive stories breaking my normal character mold. I like how the author wrote the characters, Lex didn't bother me like other non-binary characters that third option usually turns me off however the they pronouns were there just not so frequently where it ruined my perspective of "her" to me "them" to the other maybe "him" to others. They were written well enough to imagine whatever your preference is in my eyes. Overall well done to me

A great "choice of" game. Good length, a Well written narritive, choices that matter, and a colorful cast of characters. Easily worth the price! Gonna play it at least a few more times to see how it all branches.

Good story, very entertaining, but noticed that after the initial choices you make while creating your character, choices have very little effect on leveling your stats. Other than that I liked it.

The story was boring. Just about chasing some EVIL SLAVERS with maybe like 2-3 bad sideplots thrown in for longevity. The most exciting part is the octopus battle in the beginning. The player character is incurably boring no matter what choices you make.

The keys are to sensitive and once you accidentally highlight a choice. It just quickly picks it. So I am now in a story, not knowing what i picked... other then that. Story is so, so. I wish you would just make a PART 2 TO THE ARCHANGELS STORY!!

Not the worst story in the world, personally I feel that the choices made dont change the story THAT much. But thats just me, still a good read that keeps you interested but that price should definately be lowered somewhere in the near future.

Enjoyable at first, but the ending ruined the experience for me. It was completely nonsensical. Spoilers: First I'm captured, next a rescue occurred even though we failed at the rescue. Then I am getting kicked off the ship because the crew distrusts me. The next page, I have been serving on the crew for a year. I don't know what happened but I regret wasting my money.

I enjoyed this game. The plot of it was pretty i intersting although I found I had a habit of just skimming the paragraphs rather than fully reading them. Also i wished that the story had more on the background of the main character and maybe perhaps creating a connection with their parent(s) rather than just having known that you had a mother and she was admiral

this was my 2nd txt based role play game adventure. i like them. this one was fine until i got a short way into it then it demanded $5.95 to continue. i rather prefer options to continue gameplay(watch video ads.. etc.. , or a blurb (in description perhaps) that described real cost.

this has to be one of the best! the story was amazing and the characters had so much involvement. I was disappointed when I came to the end of the story and I really hope there will be a part 2 involving the mother. overall really good read just wish it was slightly longer

There's practically no meaningful backstory or option to build your characters strengths/weaknesses/skills or gather information to make choices. Characters dont have much of a personality - just a description of hair color and clothes. A "rousing song" is described in vague generalities for 3 paragraphs..just include the song? You are told "these people value strength and loyalty", for example, instead of being able to infer from an interesting story or actions/discussion

Not going to lie, it gets very boring. You don't even really get to act like a main character. It felt like i spent most of the time getting bossed around and told how to feel by other characters who would have made much better protagonists. overall disappointing

The writing and the plot itself was excellent. There are some choices that change the story up so there's some replay value here. Definitely worth the buy.

Writing veered into info-dumping at times, but overall fairly enjoyable. Would have liked to see more development of character relationships too.

Nice story, I enjoyed it. Would have liked to see a few more choices and a little more length to the story, but very solid overall. Compelling story.

Is there an official walkthrough or someting. I'd like some kind of guide to help me make my choices. Instead of randomly choosing. I hear there's a way to get your own ship, but can't seem to find out how to accomplish this.

All in all it was good. Some parts felt like the story was on autopilot and choices didn't make a big difference. Good job

other than a few minor spelling errors, the story is well written and fun. Pretty long too. 💙 I look forward to see what comes next from this author.

A fun adventure, and queer as heck to boot. Immediately after my first play through, I want to start again.

The story is ok. The biggest problem for me is that many characters aren't that memorable, even though there are only like 0 of them.

Soooo romantic and adventurous. Hope u can increase it and add more stories to it. But overall is a reallly nice and great game.

High Key Salty because of Christine still pretty enjoyable but why was her being a "Friend" the entire time a thing clearly she was interested and I mad every attempt to make it official.

great story and good length but be prepared to remember lots of characters who have little impact on the story
