8-Bit RPG Creator

Snap together your own classic rpg within minutes! Put together your own enemies and NPC's using 200 body parts and over 1 BILLION possible character combinations! Build your own customized weapons and weapon shops; draw your own overworld maps using tiles for grass, snow, sand, stone and lava; and interlink as many overworld maps as you want for almost unlimited gameplay possibilities!
(NOTE: This program is for entertainment purposes only and is not for professional game development.)

Highlights include:

-Make unlimited games!-Switch between edit and play modes at the click of a button!-Go back and tweak enemies and maps in seconds!-50 character and weapon slots per game!-Choose between 12 unique heroes!

Start by clicking an empty game slot that says "empty". You will then be prompted to name your game. Be sure to name your game using letters, numbers, and spaces only! Not giving your game a proper name will prevent it from saving properly!

The Frame Editor:

The games you make will consist of frames; each frame can be one of four things, a title, an overworld, a shop, or a cinematic. The game will always start on frame 1, but from there, frames do not have to play in sequence. Each frame will have options to set where a player will go when leaving the frame. To create a new frame, click the "empty" grey frames along the top of the level editor screen. Then pick what type of frame you will create from the menu. Here are the types of frames:

Title
- Use this at the beginning of your game (best at frame 1), or to divide your game into chapters. A title will consist of a simple text title at the center of the screen, and can contain save/load options if you prefer.

Overworld
- This is the overworld map. You can have as many of these as you like and link them together through exits to make the world as large as you wish. Each overworld can have three total exits, two labeled as "exit 1" and "exit 2" which can lead to shops or other frames, and the third exit, which is where the player will go after defeating a boss. Set these options on the left hand side of the overworld menu so the game will know where these exits will lead. Here you can also enter enemy ID numbers so the game will know what enemies the player will encounter on this map, as well as the boss ID. Character ID's are displayed at the top of the character creation page.

Each overworld map has two layers. The first layer is it's base color, and can look like grass, snow, sand, etc. The player can walk on all of these freely. The second layer determines what is an obstacle, what causes damage, what heals, etc. Draw the base layer using the first row of tiles next to the map grid. Then use the second layer to set boss locations, exit locations, healing tiles, etc. Boss locations, obstacles, healing tiles and exits can look like different things. Click the green arrows next to these tiles to change their appearance on the map.

Shop
- This frame consists of a shopkeeper, which you will pick from you list of created characters, as well as a selection of three weapons. Enter the text for the shopkeeper, as well as the item ID numbers and prices of the three weapons you wish you sell in this shop.

Cinematic
- A cinematic consists of a character, which you will pick from your list of created characters, and some dialog. After the player reads it, they will click the "next" button to proceed to the next desired frame.

I find this a wonderful time waster and fun to mess with your unsuspecting friends(mening putting in thare name, and things like that) I love it and find nothing rong with it. My one complaint is I wish thare was a way for others to play the games iv made and viscera. Like a server or website to download or upload games. Thank you for making such a nice game. :-)

Seems easy enough to use, even without instructions. But I'm having difficulty finding tiles like the trees and mountains. Maybe a town looking tile for shops. Or better yet, the ability to make our own tiles. It also needs the ability to share creations with the community. Sadly though, it hasn't been updated since 2014, i dont think we will see any improvements. It certainly has potential though.

I really love this app. However it needs a few things. 1 the ability to create you own tiles character pieces character sprite and item pieces. 2 the ability to see characters on the map. 3 the ability to not have enemies on a certain frames. 4 the ability to have armor and potiona. 5 and last but not least tje ability to use your character sprite on a cutseen. If you add these 5 things i will give 5 stars. P.s. i love all of your game that you have made.

This game isn't anything phenomenal, but it really doesn't need to be, it's quite fine on its own and works as a nice introduction into creating games and more specifically: RPG 's. Overall a nice experience and a fun thing to mess around with or use with your friends.

It was confusing at first, for someone who has absolutely no background making games, but once I used my brain a little I understood it. The concept is relatively simple as well. I do wish there were more options for tiles you could use to make your map though. Hope to see more added to this app. Thanks 😊

Way too easy to delete files. This ap should be the most difficult of any of to delete ALL your work no matter how much time you spent on it. Could make some users pretty upset. In addition now it doesn't load at all. If I were to uninstall, it would surely delete my work.

I'd be really nice to see a few changes, such as the ability to make enemies stop spawning in certain rooms. I would also like some way to create an actual cut-scene, and not just a character followed by text. And more items and features in general would be nice. But other than these issues, the app is pretty good.

I am a gamer myself always wanting to get a new game it wasn't till I came across this game when I realized that instead of wasting a gigabyte of space I could just design a few games and play them wherever. I also like the app because if you ever think a game could allow you to do something you could just do it yourself in just a few easy steps.

There's only one teenie weenie thing I hope the developers can do. Make it sixaxis compatible for people who rooted their phones. Other than that it is the best. I love creating rpg's alot now thanks to this app. Also It has some nostalgic qualities of the nes era. Thanks for bringing back the memories.

I love how I can make my book in progress into an rpg game with this bit creator! But i wish it were more like a zelda style format, u know, like the zelda games for gameboy and what not. Where I can actually physically see my sprite fight and what not. Instead of just a picture of an enemy when you get in a fight. It would liven the rpg spirit of the game. I wish I could make my own personalized sprite too. But a 'll in all, amazing, creative, and addicting.

Great overall but it would be better with the ability to be able to add in your own tiles/monster looks. Edit: New ideas just came to mind! What if we could put up our games onto some kind of community thing so we can play other peoples games they play ours!

Great game, but when I got to screen 48 the game stops working unless I click the Clear button when I don't want to, so please fix that. By the way, you should make the enemy ID thing to where if none have IDs then it doesn't make enemies but have a button to randomize enemies like it does without IDs. But also make chests, so you can find items without shops. Plus add the feature to move body parts all around and be able to take body parts away. Well, those are my suggestions, anyway.

I see a lot of people stuck on dialogue a little button below the dialogue says "to next frame" also we should be able to make our own sprites out of pixels and make our own music other wise this would be the best app on mobile. PC still does the job better. PS,like the nods to your other games minus the possible fnaf ones

Every time you re open the app all of your titles go to another position and I have to reset them to the right place. It becomes laggy at times, and it would be nice to be able to change the different over world music. But the title position problem really annoys me.

I love this game! I'm 12 years old and would love to create games when I get older and I love rpgs! This game makes it so easy for someone with no coding abilities to make a full blown RPG or a short little flash game! I've got a game that's 3 days in the making and its still not finished! I love playing my creations and sharing them with my family! Keep up the good work Scott!

Dav. D. Aug 26, 2016

I kinda would like to have my own sprites since I'm learning pixel art. And for the feel of a classic rpg what about things like party members. I'd also be happy with making our own music. Also I don't want random encounters in my games.

Creative To say the least. I'm over 300 frames deep and don't think I'll be done anytime soon. There are a few issues like the lack of decorations. It would also be nice to creat your own Sprite. Other then that the game is a creative paradise. :)

I hate the controls. My character keeps getting stuck. The next frame buttons don't respond half the time and I accidentally just deleted a game that took me the entire day to make because the only button was a read X. it didn't even ask if I wanted to delete it.so yeah great game but really annoying!!!

XOX. Apr 4, 2017

Even though I love most of your games this seems to have a problem. You see, friend. I wanted to make a game all my friends will enjoy. But everytime I make a frame or character it all disappears. Even if I click save. Now I dont expect you to bow to me and do everything. Continue doing what ya do.

Fri. M. Jan 11, 2016

I really enjoy your game Scott, its pretty good, but I just want to be able for no one be in a shop. it would be great. but I know you're busy with fnaf world and you probably don't have time to read this anyway. it would be great if you could do that. but still not half bad!

Sam. P. Nov 4, 2017

This is so cool but I really wish that while in battle the enemy or boss will say something or an effect like you slashed the monster/human while they are talking... sorry i'm addicted to undertale that those I said are part of Undertale... really sorry :3

Ran. G. Aug 1, 2015

My suggestions for this hame are: Being able to put loot containers, being able to see enemies across the map, 120 more body parts, more kinds of items and being ablr to create at least 150 characters.
