Lots of fun so far after playing the 1980 year through. Wish a few more things were explained. Which matchups are best for ratings. The system for getting stars for a segment, and mic and skits with bonuses to other types of wrestlers to gain their skill without blowing the whole show. Wish there were signature movesets to upgrade or unlock. Also could be fun to have fed vrs fed matches.
This is a fun, well-designed, and surprisingly addictive wrestling league simulator. It uses the collectible card game format: you start booking matches with a small group of wrestlers in 1980, and you can unlock more wrestlers, managers, rivalries, and sponsors over the next 20 in-game years. The art and audio are very clever, and I love the way my head canon for all the characters keeps evolving over time. The card store is optional, but spending a few extra bucks can really expand the game.
Great game...keep updating and please make it to where we can have access to all the wrestlers right off the bat....like a real gm mode same thing you basically do now but no waiting until refresh...just a list and prices ..there are so many wrestlers I want but haven't come across
Amazing game, love the spoofs of the wrestlers, only thing setting it back from 5 stars are just how expensive some wrestlers are, other than that, great game.
Keep this game as simple as it is right now. Love everything about it. Keep prices low. Make holographic cards useable for feuds.
Decent! Games not greedy, you can beat it without forking out money for in game purchases, etc. Their there as an option, but its comfortable and not a lot is blocked not having a subscription. Greedy mobile app companies, this it a good balance!
A lazy and cheesy excuse for a game. The non-optional handholding in the beginning got annoying enough after the second show to delete this garbage forever.
This game can be played completely free and purchases are not necessary! A fantastic and quirky booking game where you build up cards and host wrestling events. The main improvement I would recommend is more feedback as to why certain things only get 1 star even though for example you put a 17 skill good guy against a bad guy with 16 skill in a cage match...
Game is fun for a while, but the price of new cards compared to the amount of money you get for each show is extremely unbalanced. You're barely able to afford even the lowest level cards, so you run out of options very quickly, resulting in lower rated shows.
Repetition Repetition Repetition. Gets a bit boring after a few hours.
Tried to refresh card shop and didn't work waisted my 1 precious coin haha. Needless to say that little glitch is enough for me to not spent a dime and not waist anymore time playing. 👎
A great game But you get a 1 star for the subscription model. There's not enough content to warrant paying monthly. .... .... It's a good game. But it's only good enough to pay for ONCE. Stop being greedy or give more payload .... .... Uninstalled (after a month of underwhelming subscription, youre welcome for the 8 bucks or whatever)
An amazing booking simulator with great characters and fun situations! I've spent hours on this game just booking matches and trying to level up wrestlers to see their MERCH cards. Also includes interesting bios, dialogue, art, and venues. I love the parody elements for some wrestlers as well!
A fun pretty fast pace ..ez control ..a bit hard to build good match's to get going but with codes is way fun get tons open
I love this game...Can you make a create or player mode or have us change the wrestlers clothing color?edit a wrestler..I think that would be pretty awesome
Very addictive and very fun to play. I've been a fan of booking games and this one doesn't require a lot of micro managing like others. It's just the right amount and I love the pop culture references. Love the 4/16/18 update that now has CPU generated awards with the ability to override. Looking foward to the end of the year with the new Modern Mania game. Keep up the great work.
Too much has changed. New artwork. Worse soundbites. Are they avoiding getting sued over a type of satire? I don't know the answer to that. The gameplay is simple enough to allow multi-tasking, and the lack of ads combined with it's nostalgic charm has kept it on my phone long after others get deleted. That said, it was a better game before the aesthetic changes, and the lack of coherent consistency on advancing wrestlers or getting higher ratings on matches/shows makes it repetitive and stale.
Brilliant game! If you play it correctly you actually do notice progression from a fairly early stage. It can get somewhat repetitive, but the more you progress through each year (in game) the more rewards you get, making it easier to make money (in game) and with that you can buy new wrestlers or other cards. If you stick it out a bit, you don't even need to put any real money into it, but that's if you're smart and play correctly, like I said, meaning use the right cards for the best results!
This has been a fun booking game with a difference. The art style of a lot of the cards are really unique and it feels like looking at comic book characters which is much like wrestling. When I first downloaded the game I got through 1 game year in 2 days. There have been some improvements since downloaded like shortcuts for booking matches and create your own teams. Main drawback for me is that it costs a lot to change alignment (face/heel) and push each card has.
UPDATED: I've now played through once and am on my second. It's funny, nostalgic, creative, engrossing, and takes me back to 1980-ish when I was a 6th grader and never missed the local weekly wrestling show out of Dothan, Al. I made a game with cards and notebook paper back then - and this game is what I would have wished for. I love the stats, the ratings, the ridiculous number of championship titles, and the different feds - just a fantastically entertaining game all the way around. Thanks from the bottom of my childhood for all of your hard work, developer(s)!
Great fun! Plays fast! There are microtransactions but it can all be attained through gameplay. No power meters! You aren't playing for a few minutes then being forced to spend real money to keep playing when you want. You can play as much or as little as you want, when you want, and still make steady progress. I love this design too.
If you love 80s and 90s wrestling, this is the game for you! Easy to pick up and play, time consuming to really build up your wrestlers and shows. Remember, this is a simulation, not an action game. And while it absolutely helps to pay for tokens, it's by no means necessary. Updates monthly too! Won't say it's perfect but it IS excellent.
How do I say this this with out sounding bad? This is a such a dumb fun game. If you need something to just take your mind off the current situation we're all in this is pretty much up there on the list of games that work. The 80s themes remind me of watching when I was a kid. I wish I could play a version on my comp. Same style but just something I could do to kill time and enjoy the art work and overall goofiness of it all. It's pretty fun trying to find the combos for tag teams.
Fun game, clever iconography. Easy to use. The main issue is finances. At least initially you are lucky if you 200 on a show. A Sold out show of 500 netted me 50 in ticket sales, that is .10 a ticket. Financial area needs a,major upgrade as it makes it very slow gain. Additionally the rating system does as well, not sure the formula but i got a 5-6 show rating when nothing in the show was less than 2 stars. This type of rating happens often. this also needs an upgrade so it is consistant.
I actually love this game but a few things annoy me. The main frustration is some of the better wrestlers stats seem impossible to max out! It's strange that my low tier wrestlers level up fairly easily, but an upper mid card guy could have just one stat left to max out, and the game just refuses to lol. The grind seems really slow too. Also Now you Know should be able to be viewed in a different form. I hate rescrolling through years to find a tag team or feud. Make a list version.
How is this even fun? It's basically a poor man's management simulator and not even a decent one at that.Uninstalled.
It's a cool concept and there's clearly a lot of work gone into the graphics BUT, the gameplay is sorely lacking. Needing to just stumble across various features (feuds, tag teams, etc) is tedious and the whole setup is just repetitive. Apparently, cloud backup is possible in this game but, there's no mention of it anywhere inside the app (I've checked EVERY screen, including the "cheats", it's just not there), so it's lost a star for this as well.
Hello no, don't play the game, the game plays and you watch it do it's thing. F autoplay and games you don't actually do much in. 💩
EDIT: I appreciate it a bit more now after converting some of my hard earned coins to get some additional stuff. Figuring out secret fueds/teams added a bit of fun. But it still gets very redundant. It will heavily rely on your imagination. And as mentioned above, having more stuff may add to the entertainment but, it's quite hard to buy much of those without coins which takes a lot of time to save up (one per in-game year) unless you're willing to spend real life money for it.
