89.7 The River

I live in Omaha, and the River can be hard to get on some radios. I tried using the built in FM tuner in my phone, but the station was staticky, so I downloaded this app. The app streams the station better than most FM stations sound. The app crashes on occasion and android keeps wanting to turn it off due to battery usage, so hopefully someone addresses those issues. The app is simple and allows access to the River wherever you are which is nice since they have some unique shows.

Completely independent colledge radio station witb a huge playlist. You'll hear new and popular songs several times a day but at a good 4 hours before you'll ever hear a repeat. Allot of great symdicated shows on the weekends.Rock, Alternative Rock, Drum and Bass, Heavy Metal and more. My absolute favorite radio station. No playlists. You got Pandora amd others for that. What you will hear is music you've never heard before. My only negative is they cover the schools sports. Just music for me.

I recently moved to Texas, I haven't found any good rock stations that even come close to the River! I listen to it while driving and at work...its one of the few things I miss about Nebraska. Thanks for the awesome app!:);)

I'm a bit disappointed that the app needs an internet connection to work, but I understand the basics of why. Also it's a pretty big battery drainer, I'd love to see if that could get fixed. Besides that it's a great app, I love that there's a link to your site and Facebook

No doubt about it, this is the BEST radio station I've EVER EVER come across! Thank YOU for being FOR THE PEOPLE! THE RIVER ROCKS! had to unistall from phne cuz when im moving around i loose broadcast but works great from home on chromebook!!

PLAY shuts off after 5-10 minutes on my S10 no matter if it's in the background or primary app open. Too bad, really like it for the short spurts it works though

i would seriously give them 5*'s but everyone the screen shots off, the music does too and it didn't do that before. fix this than we'll talk about giving ya 5*'s!!

App keeps shutting down how when will this get fixed id give 5 stars for content but functionality sucks

I travel for work. Was awesome to find the river on mobile. However, if it's interrupted for any reason it tends to freeze and I have to restart the app to get it to play again. Notifications for other apps are usually (usually but not always) ok but any interuption to cell signal almost always requires force closing and restarting app. Does not start playing again after being interrupted for say a phone call even when signal is not lost. Not having a static status in notification list when it stops playing requires scrolling through open apps while driving. Samsung Galaxy S7 Oreo

I listen to the River every morning but I miss out on some of their funny stories due to a short commute. But now with the app I can listen whenever I want to. It's super convenient!
