Occasionally has a stop starting buffering issue that can be annoying and doesn't seem to be a problem on other streaming services I use so not my Wi-Fi. I have in the past contacted them about this issue and seems to be getting better. You can't beat the great programming though that they provide on this station!
This app will be 4/5 stars when its working again. starting late Mar 2019, crashes immediately when I select any stream. Can browse available streams without issue. When I press play, immediately crashes. I have an Android phone. Update: Problem remains after 5/20/2019 update mentioned in comment. No improvement. Update: Fixes some time in June 2019. So nice to have the app back. 5 stars since I can't think of anything lacking.
I really like this app and really like public radio but it has recently started playing at random times. I'm asleep in at 12 a.m. the app will start playing and there's normally nothing frightening about public radio unless it startles you out of a sound sleep unexpectedly. In that situation, Ira Glass can be quite terrifying. Could we possibly fix this bug?
This was a 5 star app that is now unusable. After a 3/27/19 update this app keeps closing & either won't open or shuts down in 3 seconds to 3 or 4 minutes. it was fine before the update. Please fix it soon. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app several times and it still doesn't work.
Basically same problems as others have mentioned....overall, love the features of the ap, but am frustrated with the constant stops....having to uninstall and then download again to get the thing to work for awhile before I have to repeat the same process again.
This app is completely broken now, and I have no confidence that it will be fixed. It's been a long time. It wasn't the greatest app, but it allowed me to get the broadcast. Now, it immediately crashes upon opening. Might as well use that old technology they called radio.
The programming is great the app is intensely frustrating. I have it on my Android phone and about once a day it locks up and does nothing and the only fix I can find is to uninstall and reinstall the app.
I can't stream KUOW for more than a few minutes no matter which app or method I use. CONSTANTLY cuts out & stops altogether. KUOW does NOT work on: KUOW app; TuneIn; iHeartRadio; or Replaio apps. Nor when I tap "live stream" on mobile web page. I appreciate the email updates, and I know you're working on it, but THIS IS NOT OK. It's been months! We STREAM radio now. Your broken stream means we CAN'T HEAR KUOW content. Hard to justify financial support for a thing we can't use! I GIVE UP.
just changed to an android phone and this app keeps crashing immediately. please help. I don't want to ho back to an iPhone and android apps should be as stable as iPhone apps. android phones are more than half the market.
Thank you for fixing! I missed this app.*********** Please fix!!. I have not been able to use this app since March. It shuts down within a second or two of starting to stream. I miss it. Can't lug a radio everywhere I go
The app used to work well, but stops playing after about 3 minutes. The app sometimes restarts playing if I unlock the screen, but sometimes the app needs to be completely restarted.
Please Fix! Love supporting and listening, but app continually shuts down, and there is no setting to make thos stop happening! I get about 10 minutes of listening time before I have to reset :~(
Buggy when working -- I could stream for a while, then it would randomly cut out mid-story. Now it's not even launching. Tried to uninstall and reinstall twice.
This app is great when it works. After the last update, it crashes every time I launch it. If they fix it I will change my review back to 5 stars.
It stops streaming a bout 8 seconds after I turn off my screen or switch to a different app. Keeps playing only if I leave my phone screen on and the app open.
App used to work great, but is now non-functional, unfortunately. It's been almost a month now, so maybe it's been abandoned? [edit: looks like it's fixed]
Livestream cuts out during programming. Have to restart, and go through the pinned KUOW ads all over again. Better to just subscribe directly to whatever podcast you're listening to than stream.
I have been a listener to kuow on the radio for 30+ years. I started using the TuneIn app and it would repeatedly stop at screen time out. So I switched to this app, hoping for a better experience. And it was better. Now it's the same experience as the TuneIn app. I don't have any other negative experiences with other streaming media apps like this. I'm close to eliminating news from my life because this stream stops. Fix it. It's pretty pathetic.
