We provide primary care to patients nationwide. Our service is available 24/7, in all 50 states across the U.S. and Washington, D.C. You must be 18 years or older to create an account and seek care (19+ in Nebraska).
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
There are two ways to get 98point6: via a Personal Plan or an Employer-sponsored Plan.
Personal Plans are available for a low introductory rate of $20 for the first year ($120 for year two) that covers year-long access to primary care, and you pay just $1 per visit. (Please note, only one patient per account.)
Sponsored Plans provide access to 98point6 at no charge and offer visits at low/no cost to employees and their adult dependents. For specifics, please check with your employer.
WHAT DOES MY PERSONAL PLAN SUBSCRIPTION COVER?
Your 98point6 Personal Plan provides you access to our our board-certified physicians who provide consultation, diagnosis and treatment for just $1 per visit. 98point6 does not bill insurance. Patients are responsible for potential outside-of-app costs related to each visit, which may include prescriptions, lab costs, over-the-counter medication or referral to an in-person physician.
DO I NEED AN APPOINTMENT?
No appointments necessary. Just sign in to the app and start a visit. It’s access to care when and where you need it.
WHO ARE YOUR DOCTORS?
Carefully selected, board-certified physicians who are passionate about making care more accessible and affordable. They are specially trained to treat and diagnose via text-based care. (98point6 supports photo, video and audio as needed.)
DO I NEED HEALTH INSURANCE?
No, you don’t. Simply sign up for our Personal Plan for access to our board-certified physicians. If your treatment plan includes a prescription, a referral or labs, you can apply your insurance to pay for those outside-app expenses.
WHAT CAN I USE 98POINT6 FOR?
98point6 treats the full spectrum of primary care. Our doctors answer questions, diagnose and treat acute illnesses and order any necessary prescriptions or labs. If we can’t offer treatment, we’ll refer you to an in-person physician for the appropriate next step. Common conditions we treat include:

Fix your notifications. Was waiting but the app made no sounds or vibrations when a doctor finally got on to chat. Come on, really. Ring or make an alarm or something, at least have an option to. Either that or make all sessions instant, none of this waiting and hoping
No notification. Wait was 2 hours according to app....what am i supposed to do stare at a phone for two hours?!?!?!?!?!
Why can't they set up an appointment time instead of waiting for hours. Absolutely sucks and not helpful at all.
Extremely helpful concept. No appointment and immediate attention makes this a major improvement in health care. Gives you help when you need it. This concept needs to be expanded to include specialists and even other business pictures. So much more convenient for both Doctor and patient. Pays for itself with a single visit. This app is a real game changer.
I have used this app twice now and have had an excellent experience. The AI that pops up before the visit is very useful for clarifying the situation and getting basics like symptoms recorded, which helps the visit itself go much quicker and more smoothly. The doctors are very courteous and professional, and listen well. I have been able to restart a medication I had been on previously which I feel didn't warrant going into a regular doctor visit for.
The website lists different conditions that are treated cough colds yeast infections UTIs these couldn't be treated without physically checking a patient.. but yet when I contacted a doctor over ear pressure sinus pressure symptoms I've had before when I've had an ear infection the doctor didn't want to treat it or call an antibiotic in and suggested I go see a doctor. Same thing I read on the other reviews this is a waste of time and money for my employer to offer this as a FREE service a joke
Has helped so much. It's quick, efficient, and can be educational. Mostly I have been able to tell I'm talking to real doctors. I've been able to get certain needed prescriptions and refills. I love having a transcript (wish I could get that at in person visits) and treatment/care plan to refer back to. And this would all be very convenient as it is, but with covid-19 happening, its been a godsend.
Paired with same doctor twice on a Saturday, and had a good experience both times. In this way, this may be mostly a review about the doctor, but the platform and chat interaction facilitated everything well. I would like to be able to type on a computer, rather than use a phone app in some cases, but that is hardly fodder for an app store review :)
This service is provided to me by my employer. I was skeptical about this type of medical app & eventually decided to give it a try after hearing some positive feedback from a few coworkers. It works as advertised & that's what I was hoping for. It is a bit time consuming, but definitely quicker than driving to a ER/CLINIC & sitting in a waiting room. My concerns were addressed, prescription sent to my pharmacy & all is well now. Thank You !!
This is a revolution. Myself being hard-of-hearing on top of social anxiety this has been a life saver! So convenient to talk to a REAL doctor at home! Thankful for this app! Life should be simpler, and this app agrees.
Iv tried calling twice and because it's my first time they needed a video. Well it kept screwing up and it wasent working on their end, I never got to talk to a doctor. They said somone would call and fix it but they never did
Interface is not user friendly. But, with persistence you can manage it. I made a mistake filling out the create account form, my birthday was wrong. However, the form pointed me to my name, which it allowed me two tries and then I had to uninstall to get more attempts to get the information correct. I could understand a password. I have yet to use it to see a doctor. I hope that experience is better.
I was downloading the app to check it out, and did not want to pay for it until I knew it was actually legitimate. RED FLAGS! 1: They sent a code, I entered the code, the app went to the next step, but stated there was an error on their end. 2: They require you to enter the last 4 of your SS#. 3: You're not allowed to continue without entering your credit card information. There's not an option to view the app or a trial/test option.
Little bit of a long wait. Had some problems with the app. Still 10 million times faster and easier than going into a Dr or urgent care. Have had two visits now. Both were good. The first Dr was amazing and spent nearly 3 hours going over things with me and covering all of my concerns. The second visit was just to get a script changed for insurance reasons. But the second Dr was equally as helpful and I trust that if I had more complex concerns she would have addressed those as well.
I have nothing but good things to say about the 98point6 app. This is one of the employee benefits I get through my employer, and my doctor visits are totally free. I have used the app twice now, and never have I been charged or received any kind of a bill. It's so easy to use, and an appointment only takes minutes. My prescriptions are sent directly over to my pharmacy of choice. The entire visit is done through text messaging on my phone. I would highly recommend!
I have severe acid reflux and have been having some nasuea lately. I got into the app, signed up and within minutes had two prescriptions sent to Costco. I only had to do a 1 minute video call because Texas state law requires that. After the video, it switched back to text and I was able to explain everything. The doctors have been great at explaining things and they even send you a care plan. They make sure you have easy access to everything as well. Great app, great design, and your first visit pays for itself for the year. If you don't have it, GET IT. You won't be disappointed! The only thing I'd recommend is something like family pricing, but I can easily pay 20 bucks for my husband to get his own account. Thanks again!
Decided to give app a shot. Got connected to a doctor. She did not listen, listed my symptoms completely wrong, and wrong diagnosis. Since this time, I have spoken with management, not customer service. They listened to the issues and will hopefully correct them. It is a fairly new app, with time there may be improvement.
I have used this app 3 times for 3 separate medical issues and I've been impressed every time. The app is easy to navigate and convenient. The doctors are extremely helpful. They take the extra time to really dig into your problem and find a solution. They don't just throw medications at you and end the visit like others do. They also give self care and lifestyle recommendations in addition to any medications needed so that you can get the best results from your care plan.
Problem solved - great service, great support! App needs to tell you if your subscription is recurring/non-recurring to avoid confusion! As an aside, I appreciate the enthusiasm from 98's tech support, but I'd rather not receive unsolicited phonecalls - even in an attempt to help resolve issues.
Great, quick, easy. Professional and friendly. Able to get appt with in minutes. Was able to walk in for labwork. And the results were back the following day. So much more convenient than having to take a 1/2 day to go to a routine appt. Love it!
This app was a good alternative for those without med insurance to be able to see a doctor without high expense. They used to prescribe minor meds-- (antibiotics, cough suppressant, etc) anything more severe and clearly you need to go in person to see a professional, which is good. As of late, everything requires going in person, and they no longer write a script. I don't know what initiated the change, but at this point it's useless to pay for this app. Why pay $20 to be told to see a doctor?!
Every experience I've had using 98point6 has been very quick and helpful, and the physicians have been friendly and personable. I have used the app to get a prescription for nasal spray as well as anxiety medication. Definitely beats going to Urgent Care or a Primary Care doctor. As a Type 1 Diabetic, I already have so many appointments throughout the year. It is a relief to be able to handle some visits over the phone at home through 98point6.
This is a really great app and a great alternative when you either can't get to a doctor or don't have insurance. My only criticism is that you can't use it on a computer, so you have to type on your phone. If it was video, that would be great, because we wouldn't have to use a tiny keyboard which is more useful with texting versus a professional conversation.
The app itself works fine. That being said, I have been told in every "visit" to go see a health care provider. I have tried visits for different things and have not gotten anything useful from the providers. It is a waste of 20 minutes chatting back and forth and is frustrating to go through all of that time to be told to wait or to go see someone in person. Not sure how this is supposed to be helpful.
This is the most amazing app available in the play store. I have been using it since December and I'm amazed at how great this service is. The doctors are friendly, interested in what you've got to say and knowledgeable. I get more interaction via the text messaging in this service than I ever have with a regular, rushed PCP appointment. The service is worth the world to me and I'm so grateful that I've found it. It makes my life a lot easier ad well, no need to go to a gerny office!
I came back to this app after trying to use teladoc for like 3 months and I hated it. 98point6 has a much better service, is much faster, and WAY easier to use. Even without insurance coverage on the service it only costs $10 a month and is worth every penny.
I love this app! The Dr was very friendly, fast, and helpful! From deciding we needed a physician's help to picking up the prescription, the whole process (including set up) was under an hour. I've spent more time on hold just trying to schedule an in-person appt w a primary!
Love this service and this app. They make it so easy to access care anywhere and every doctor I've been paired with has been so amazing and helpful. So far, I've used this app for fairly minor ailments, but the reassurance and care that I've received has been priceless! As for the app itself, I have noticed improvements every time I have used it which is super encouraging. Can't say enough how much I love this service!
I was skeptical of using this service at first. But when my Dr told me I had to wait till March to see him, I gave it a shot. Got an appointment within minutes. It was a nice hybrid text/video appt and very convenient. I needed a follow up to release back to work and that was done through text with the same Dr as before within 20 min start to finish. Will definitely use again
Wrong. Just wrong. When the heart is hurting, getting further away from the heart causes more harm, not less. When you need telehealth in the middle of the night for an adult dependent, telling me to kindly f-off because they don't have the app installed and connected to my insurance doesn't help. Misunderstanding and misdiagnosis of the real problems has been my experience. Heart attack? No, it tells me, it's just stress. Looking for a mental health therapist?
