9GAG: Best LOL Pics & GIFs

I've been using this app for years, but recently ads have started playing audio even when all audio features are turned off. This is becoming a huge problem, and this really needs to be fixed. Please don't ruin this app over one stupid feature that users don't want. Update. It's still happening. For dev information, it seems to always be EXP Realty ads.

App is great and I'm having a blast. However, after the recent update, when I'm chatting on Facebook Messenger, some random video from the 9GAG feed plays automatically and keeps playing until I go back to the app and play something else. It's annoying. Fix it and I'll give 5 stars. Edit : I no longer have this issue, thanks.

I love 9gag,but the app is getting worse every time it updates, after a few post there's a promoted post that has no numbers on the like/dislike counters and it auto plays without consent, and now the ads are taking control of the app. Here I am trying to watch a 3min video (because videos are now memes apparently) and the app scrolls down to show the damn ad, putting the video out of the screen, and it does this every 30 seconds. Don't put ads in posts, we already see lost of ads in hot.

The app is very slow now and takes ages to refresh. Also my starred sections keep getting removed after refreshing. The app has seriously sucked since the pro+ option was introduced. The most stupid thing is that you have wait 30 bloody days to change anything in your profile, "no room for mistakes" for an app which is filled with it. Each and every update has lead to literally no improvements or bug fixes.

Sorry-not-sorry to drop my review score, but this app is honestly getting worse every year! More instability, more crashes, pics/videos not loading properly, uploads randomly disappearing, even though most of this stuff works fine on the main website on a PC. Not my phone's problem either - having same issues on 3 different phones I've tried!

I can't unsave any of my saved posts. The posts shown in the saved page don't have the bookmarked button clicked. Please check this issue. I have contacted support multiple times in feedback, they're not responding.

So many duplicate posts, reporting them does nothing but double them again. Selecting a category shows posts in other categories, not sure what the point of selecting a category is for if it does not only show that category. App has gone downhill, very hard to find anything decent, I'd look elsewhere. Too many ads.

App is fine, works as intended, the reason for 1 star is because they decided adding permanent add at the bottom which on my phone covers quite a bit of screen, not to mention still adding adds in between posts, I understand they want money but it's not usable on smaller screen phones.

Used to be good but due to adding ads with super load sounds that play random music randomly, even when the app is closed it has gone down hill. Always resets your position so you end up seeing the same few memes over and over, avoid this app from the start

Great app overall. Only thing that bothers me is that sometimes the left nav would just popup randomly when you just start a swipe. UPD: the issues apparently have been fixed a while ago. Now there's too much content coming from other social media platforms and less and less original content (i.e. meme material). Still love the app.

Allowing ads to play audio to the point that I have to reset my phone won't make me pay for a premium membership. Itll make me stop using the app all together. Whoever thought that was a good idea should be terminated for severe performance issue

Been on app for awhile, it's fine but as of late there is either a bug where and ad you can't see plays music you can't stop(not even by putting phone to sleep you have to shut down app from the app tray)

Like many other people who have reviewed recently, ads are auto playing with sound. Even when there isn't one on screen. It just plays in the background randomly and have no idea where it's coming from. It happens every 4 minutes or so. I get you need ad revenue but this is too much and I have to delete the app until fixed. I've been on 9gag for 3000+ days. Don't make me do this devs. I really don't wanna download ifunny.

I've been around since the very beginning. App has gone to the gutter. Monitization over user experience. Newest bs: they've added endless new categories and you can only block a limited number from being on the hot page. They add new levels of paid membership when they invent a new paid for experience. - - Endless scrolling now for anything funny amongst news and reposts.

It's like browsing 9gag website, but with higher battery drain now. 24% battery used in just 1.5hrs on the app. And this is when I'm on wifi and with autoplay off. Seems like it's the ads causing this. Used my mobile web browser to browse 9gag and battery drain was halved compared to using this app.

Used yo be fun, even recently. But since the 2022.05.22 update, Boards no longer work and they plan to take them out. It was an awesome way for people to talk anonymously but very frank. Got a lot of good talks there. And it crashes with every exist from a Post.

You guys are doing great work patching the issues, but definitely in the last few weeks a LOT of the comments pictures and gif are not loading. Never once had an issue with it before and I'm seeing a lot of reviews with the same problem recently.

Keeps bloody crashing on my oneplus 7t pro, I had a note 9 before this and it kept hanging on that too, wouldn't load pics or videos after a while, crashes and needs restarts all the time, stupid app heats the phone more than the sun.

Fun way to kill time. But I am bothered by the notifications that seem impossible to turn off. When I hear my phone beeping it might be a message so I have to look at the screen. But no, it's a Florida man story or a cute puppy or something. Edit: It seems that a heavily political collective consciousness of WASP culture is being developed and mutually appraised by users. A place nurturing racist posts and comments masked as "funny" and "obvious". 1 star + delete.

It's a good application, though images is only thing that i can benefit regarding in this app but it's a good quality of application, there are a lot of images and videos that I can save in an instance in all category.

If you want freedom of speech. This is the app for you. I like being able to have interactions with folks of every walk. But be warned that means bigots of every variety. Don't forget to end a long post with a potato. The ads have picked up in the last month.

In comments, posted pictures don't fit the container. In other words, pictures appear trimmed on the left and right sides a bit. There is another bug. If you tap three dots menu of the post, tap anywhere else to close the menu, then try to tap post headline to open post page with comments, the three dots menu opens again. And there is no way to fix this without app restart.

0 star for Instagram ad. That ad is soo annoying coz it's sound comes "on" for no reason if you switch it off several time. If its intentional, i with 9gag's team bang their foot pinky every 15 second untill they fix it.

I used to love this app. I don't know what changed, but the ads are so elaborate now that my phone has a hard time loading the meme or the comments. I understand and accept that ads are needed, but not if it makes the app useless.

Posts are current, balanced and having the offered option of choice towards available sensitive content posts is a plus. It is nice to have the opportunity to select a viewing choice. Nice touch.

My issue with the saved posts is still happening and I cannot get the in app support to reach out about a fix. Still cannot erase old saved posts from my list to add new ones.

Years and years of good times with this app. Lately though, I can't open 9gag unless I got to app settings each time and force stop then clear cache and app data. This means I have to log in each time and lose the place where I scrolled too. As I have to exit every now and then to keep the ram on my phone OK it not great. But that's the only thing after years of fun!

Still won't let me upload stuff using other apps(Google Photos, 3rd party file explorers), forcing me to use the horrible default file explorer. App turns black after idling in the background or after locking screen and returning to the app. Buffers images and videos slower than 9gag web (on Brave and Opera). Need to unmute videos manually, even disabling autoplay doesn't help (issue does not occur in web version).
