The app also uses geo-targeting to alert you to breaking news happening within a few kilometres of your current location. This can be especially useful for alerts about fires, floods, police operations and traffic incidents.
We understand that too many push notifications can be intrusive, so our team will only send alerts that we think you will find truly interesting. The vast majority of alerts are sent without an audible alert tone

It's disgusting that while scrolling through news article you deliberately freeze the article that I reading to make sure I don't go past the ad It's all $$$!! signs and it's a good way to getting rid of people like me good riddance and uninstalling!! There are better news apps than this
Ever since the new update, the app has been severely playing up. Its the new advertising windows/tabs, whatever you call them, seem to slow & shut down the app. I go to read 1 article and it freezes then close off the app. There is too much advertising now on this app and quite disappointed. Even before the new update, I noticed 9news doesn't upload many stories. I have to rely on ABCnews app for most news articles. Not happy 9news.
easy to navigate app news is up to date and informative. in a ever changing and challanging world.
The app used to be great but now it has bugs as it keeps going on and off. Please fix this app or you will lose many viewers.
New version today - 2.34.1-162 , still crashes regularly. From previous reviews it would seem a lot of people are having the same problem.
Well, did the latest update yesterday and was hoping issues had been rectified. Unfortunately not as it's still freezing and and locking up and then throwing me out.
If I could give no stars I would. I cant read more than 3 lines before the app shuts down. Every few minutes. I have submitted bug reports and still no reply and no fix! FIX IT!!!

Keeps crashing while trying to watch video or scroll through stories. Very unstable now. It used to be my go to app for news
Too many wrongly spelt words, & words regularly left off the end of sentences!! Please fix! Otherwise, it is a good source of news.
Rubbish. A bug constantly closes down this app since the last update. Have moved to a different news app instead

Lots of lefty news which is quite amusing to read but not surprising. They love pushing their silly agendas. But over time they seem to be improving.
App just constantly crashes. Half way through reading an article and it just shuts down. Fix your broken app.

This has always been my number one news app. But it keeps crashing since last update... Please fix it!!!
Incredibly biased news; and they say China's media is controlled! This is the Coalition's propaganda machine at work here. It does have some good information coming out, but you have to take every story covered with a grain of salt (especially if it's a politics article).
Has worked well for years, but recently has started closing down every few minutes. I'll reinstall and try again. If it continues, I'll just delete it. There are many alternatives. Update: I reinstalled this app & it closed down within 3 minutes. Update - I've reinstalled the app several times - no improvement, and it's draining my battery. Next step is uninstall immediately after I finish this review.
Can't even read a full article without the app closing. It's worked fine for ages and now it's useless

It keeps dropping out during reading stories taking me back to home screen where as ABC doesn't???
This has been a good app for sometime, but recently it has started to randomly close down. It happens two or three times before the articles have been read. Also will not scroll on an ad, you have to find space above or below the ad to move the page.
