A/D Watchface

I installed this watch face on my Galaxy Watch 4 Classic because I really like its elegant simplicity. It consumes virtually no battery, which is of course very good. All in all, I'm very happy with it, except for one small thing. The two set complications, weather and battery, do not always work smoothly and cannot be made to work even by 'reinstalling' the complications. Today, for example, the battery complication permanently shows 30%, starting at 100% full charge and now at 67%. The weather was last updated yesterday, almost 24 hours ago. Unfortunately, this clouds the overall picture of this dial a little.

Every so often, I discover a gem amongst the mountains of poorly written apps, and I found one when I installed the A/D Watchface. It's a joy, easy to configure, lots of options, nicely thought out and intuitive, and no bugs that I've found. It's even easy on the battery (I originally thought it was power hungry but I think that was just me spending hours fiddling with it). My only complaint is that I wish it had the option - like my previous three watchfaces did - to have three active buttons (complications). I reckon they would fit, one either side and one just above the 6. Still, I finally have a watchface I like. From one software developer to another, take a bow, Maarten.

Honestly, if Google made a pixel watch ever, they should just have this preinstalled. I have never used a better watch face. The transition to ambient is incredible, and the amount of customization is just right for it to be easy, yet personal. I made it look as Googley as possible, but you can change it up so much. Thank you so much!

Every time i try a different face, i end up coming back to this one. I haven't found any watch face that's this customizable and clean. My only wishes are: -The complications font could be smaller. My calendar events are cut off after the first word, which is kind if annoying -I wish there were a few options for the hands. even just 2-3 options for each hand would make a world of difference. If this is ever implemented, i request the Milgauss second hand please :)

Edited to add: Maarten, I did email you as requested but have not heard back. Original review: My goodness I want to give this 5 stars. But I simply can't get the most important complication, the notification counter, to come off of ZERO. This is on a fully up to date Ticwatch S and Pixel 2 XL. Other watchfaces will show the right number of notifications. I've done the "reset to bare metal" dance. This is the best watch face I've ever seen and I'm not going to be able to use it :-( :-( Maarten--if you had a fix for this I'd sure be grateful.

This has quickly become my favorite watchface. It's clean and simple and I love the a/d combination. There are only 2 suggestions/requests I would make: 1) give the option to hide the date display altogether. My older eyes can barely see it, so would rather just remove. 2) give a way to set the length of time the full face displays before ambient. I would personally like to see it stay 'on' a few more seconds, so would love if this were configurable. Thanks for this great face; enjoy the "beer" I sent today!

This is simply the best modern analog watchface available. Beautiful design, perfect proportions, and thoughtful customizations for color and style. the only critique I have is the small display for larger bottom complication. I have that set to next agenda item and wish more text could be displayed. The only other thing I will request is a calendar visualization around the edge of the face color coded to the calendars veing displayed. All that said, I still love this one the most! Beer sent 🍻

First impression is excellent: Very easy to fine-tune, and contains the features I want: Time from a different time zone, unread notification count, and simple b/w design. I also appreciate the ROMAN NUMERALS. However: please do some research: All genuine classic watches show the roman number "4" as "IIII" - not as "IV". When I see a watch with an "IV" I know it's not a genuine classic Swiss watch ... Luckily it will be very easy for you to make this adjustment.

Great watch face easilly customised on watch. Nice neat design good in both full and ambient modes. Checked my battery consumption and no problem at all. Very easy to read and I like the fact that it shows you the time of the next upcoming calendar event. Only gripe, day and date could be a bit bigger, but still readable as it is. Overall a great watch face and my current favorite!

Excellent and great looking on Fossil Sport. The level of customization is great. Variety of complication layouts also excellent. No other watch face I've tried gives as much functionality. Absolutely transforms the watch. Only minor change would be a brighter font on complications : temperature, for example, on weather is hard to read.

Excellent watch face. However, please add ability to disbale analog time and have digital time only + complications in ambient mode. Digital time is easier to glance when we are outdoor/ walking /attending meeting etc. When "none" of the tickers are selected please make the numeral act as the tickers by taking the positions of tickers by moving outwards. Currently when ticker is disabled the numerals move close to center of watch and it give a feel that bezel is huge which is not pleasant to the eyes.

I have used this watch face for 3 months and can say of all the other faces I have tried this is the most efficient, it's transitions are quick and the options easy to configure. i agree, it should be included in the Wear os as a std offering. thank you for providing this excellent app.

Best look I've seen on a watchface, and I love the colored ambient mode. One thing I wish could be added in the future is the manual setting of ambient display brightness, and screen timeout length. I've seen this in other watch faces, only feature I miss after switching over to this one.

Great watchface, very customizable, but what a weird choice to allow to disable the analog clock but not the digital one. The watchface style is designed around the analog look, you'd think relying only on the analog time would be an obvious option. Unless I haven't found the option.

My go to watch face, it just needs a bit more tweaks to be 5 stars! Please add the option to have 3 complications and the digital clock. Also please add the option to turn off the digital clock animation (I'm sure this will save a decent amount of battery). Lastly please add the option for 3100 soc features. I have already donated and would donate more if these were implemented!

Great app. Wastes battery wisely. Customization and graphics are great! There is also a small request, if possible, add the ability to change arrows. Thanks for your work.

Really nice face that has a good number of configuration options. Only suggestion I can offer is to either have an option to set thinner analog hands or have an option to tap and have it temporarily hide the hands so that you can read the date information when the hands cover them.

I absolutely love this watch face, the simplicity and clarity makes it If I could make one request, and by no means is this a criticism, when I have the always on face it would be nice if it dimmed quicker rather than waiting for the default setting to dim it in ambient mode as it is brighter than my watch is set at (Ticwatch Pro)

Recently purchased my first watch and was a bit miffed at the customisability of the watch faces, especially the always on display. This app has all the features that I was looking for and more. Really great design and we'll thought out!

Fantastic! It's a nice little watch face that gives you a lot of customization for free. One of the few (and the only one I have stumbled upon) with the option to do colored Always on display (AOD)!

Best looking watch face except it has an issue. If you turn on do not disturb, the icon appears over the hour 12 at the top of the watch. It just covers it. That's really my only issue with this watch face. It's very light weight and fast.

I really like the simplistic look of this face and battery life seems excellent. Customisation options are great. My only complaint I have with it is that it's a bit too dark in ambient mode.

Best watchface! Very customizable, could be minimalistic, or decked out, or anything in-between. only thing i would like to see is an option to get rid of the complications outline circles.

THE best one I have tried so far. Lots of options for personalization. You can remove analog hands if you wish so !!!! It has options for ambient display (colors).

Thanks, this is a very beautiful watchface! Would it be possible to add an option to replace the tickmarks with circle battery indicator (like Quoti watchface) or add the third complication instead of empty space for watches that already have physical tickmarks? I'm using this watchface on Huawei Watch 2, and tickmarks feel like a lot of wasted space there.

Cool looking watch face with tons of customisation options. I'm not giving it the fifth star because the option to disable the digital clock and date doesn't seem to work. I can't get rid of it.

After today's update I can not get tickmarks to hide in ambient mode. I didn't change any settings and even tried toggling them on and back off. Fossil Gen3 Edit: Thanks! I figured this was the easiest way to report the bug.
