A Faster Reader

The single most straightforward RSVP app for Android. All the other fancier looking ones are intentionally convoluted. You do have to pay, but it's a small price for good features, rather than other apps that advertise RSVP, make you pay a huge lump sum, or worse, a monthly fee, and the features are even more convoluted than the free version. It's not the prettiest app, but it gets the job done. Happy to have paid for premium + books.

Keep the free version. I purchased the full upgrade thinking I could use this to blitz through my pocket articles. The few available via the free app looked promising and I liked the layout. On purchasing, the app did not update new articles that I added to pocket, when I read articles and they were removed from my reading list, they were not replaced by new articles. Refreshing does not work. Deleting restores the original 17 articles. Emailed for support but no reply. I want a refund.

I needed to pay to get the best of it... I don't have regrets though ... Premium plus books is where we get the full potential... If you want to use the app start with 250 wpm so you don't overload your mind. There's one thing.. When I resume a chapter after pausing it. It resumes way back from where I left and I need to read almost all over again. I'll appreciate if you can fix it.

EDIT: BOOM just like that the devs reached out to me and got a little feedback, and my issue was solved in the next update barely 2 weeks after I posted a first review. I'm enjoying the hell out of it now, and as soon as I actually figure out all the extra little things I'll probably come back one more time to do a final update. I read around 140% faster with this than I do with just a regular ebook, which I'm sure will improve as I up the wpm slowly. Give it a whirl!

The app is promising. But this is only a disfunctional demo pushing the user to buy even for testing purposes. Interestingly enough, it is the only epub reader I have seen that would display CSS along the text. Clearly, not a good sign.

Piece of junk. Cannot open books, cannot connect to pocket, cannot increase reading speed from other apps. And noticing these after paying for in app purchases made it worse.

This app did not work right with loading books not only that it has that red annoying letter in the middle which distracts from all the other words and it hinders reading when your eyes move do to a glaring red. Caused by the red letter

Love it but I wish you could set it to slowly speed up to your desired wpm so you can start reading at normal speed to get the flow first before the speed

Just stopped working. My library was flushed and now I cant load books. Was really great untill the update

Great app! Challenge is that ut doesn't read other formats!

No option to select number of words to show at once.

Kudos to the developer for responding to customer reviews and releasing an update! The Pocket integration appears to be working now :-)

WAS able to work though other apps e.g. internet explore but no longer does. Even with the premium account.

Works great with articles online...can't get a book to open to save my life. Tried all formats and just nothing uploads to library. Will change review if this is user error.

It's a shame, looks like a great app, but it can't open an ePub file.

Many thanks to dev for fixing my issue. it's my favourite of the bunch.

I managed to get in contact with the Devs and apparently there is a fix on the way. Let's see what happens (and if I can bump this back to 5 stars) And it's fixed. Here's hoping people can come back to this app now it has been restored to it's former glory

UPDATE: It works now! I can't seem to figure out if there's a way to view the reading on the Pebble without the cell phone screen being on (that is, when the phone locks, the Pebble pauses) but I'm not sure if that's a flaw with the app or if I just haven't toggled the right setting somewhere. In any case, it now does almost exactly what I always wanted it to and I can read on my Pebble. :) OLD REVIEW: I saw some great reviews of this app on another website and had to get it, but made the mistake of not reading the reviews here first. That's my fault, of course, but to echo what everyone else has said: Premium features don't work. At all. It'll take your $1.50 and you will get nothing for it. On one hand, this is my fault. On the other hand, there's no reason the app should be broken in this particular way in the first place. Here's hoping the devs remember it exists at some point and fix it.

**Edit***: Yes! It works now! Thank you! Great, but I recently have an issue with the "tap to resume reading" - it says: "Sorry, premium feature only". Worked fine in the past. Is this a bug?

Premium features just stopped working one day. I've had no reply from support which makes the app useless. Otherwise it was good but until they fix this its 1 star useless. I'll update my review if they do fix before I give up totally and delete the app. Waste of time and money. UPDATE 2 weeks on: no reply from support email or Twitter, I suspect the company behind this may have liquidated or something.

In app premium features just turned off one day, and I have yet to hear back from support after 2 emails. Apart from that it's a 5 star app and I will change my review when this gets fixed... Otherwise it's just a scam.

Its a good app but when i have tried to contact them there is zero response. I bought the full version and was hoping to use the premium features but this does not work. Tried to contact several times but doughnuts. Nothing. Seems as though they have taken money and thats where the support ends. Looking at some of the reviews posted in 2017 they have replied comments from 2015. How do they go back in time to respond? I smell a rat.......... Warning - do not buy until favourable reviews start being posted!!!!!!!!

Themes no longer work. We're back to having the bright screen halo burned into my retinas.

Trying pride and prejudice on project Gutenberg and nothing seems to work, dolphin reader also failed, I have the premium version
