A Life in Music
"A Life in Music" is a 2D side scrolling game with rhythm game elements in which the lives of the protagonists will cross with the life and music of Maestro Giuseppe Verdi. Produced by the Teatro Regio di Parma, the emotional experience combines multiple choices dialogues, dozens of characters and locations and over 20 original tracks to bring us on the screen dreams, friendships and fear.

simple and sweet I thought this was a cute story. It had a little less than 2 hours of play time, and kept me entertained. Not to mention, the game was completely free, with no annoying ads and pop ups. my only complaint would be about the music mini games. (you'd have to to tap on the notes as they pass through their highlighted area.... similar to lots of other music games) It would've been more enjoyable if the notes matched the rhythm of the songs. other than that, I'm pretty satisfied!
The music, art & story is great. FInished it in one sitting + no ads. The art style's nice, the story was slow and rushed at the same time. There were times that it was dragging specially in the middle, the story is warm and heartbreaking as well. It's just annoying how you have to wait at times for you to be able to press the screen, like everything's in slow motion, I do get that at some scenes it adds that dramatic effect but sometimes it's just annoying.
An alright game experience... I enjoyed the soundtrack, but the controls and gameplay were so incredibly slow it was driving me nuts, especially waiting for text messages to pop up. I would have preferred if you allowed me to click through text messages like you did with the dialogue. The sound design could use a lot more variation (e.g. the same exact cough noise used every time), and I wish there had been a choice for a happier ending, but it was a realistic story I guess.
A must play. Been playing story driven games for years now and can confidently recommend it. If you expect extraordinary gameplay, you're in the wrong place. 2D - side scrolling games have their own limitations. There is scope of improvement on the overall fluidity of the game. (There are occassional stutters, and some double tap register timing issues with the rhythm game) Story is enjoyable. Kept me wishing for a better ending. Choices having a larger impact on story would've been appreciable.
It was heart breaking at the end. I was really broken. To be honest I almost cried a bit. I was expecting that both resolve their doubts n bond once again through power of music. That would have been great . If ull plan to make a new game like A Life in Music 2 or part 2 . Please continue the story n join their lives in love through music would be grateful. Overall thanks for the game it was a great experience I have had a similar experience but it ended up positively. Thanks again developers
First of all, I just wanna say the visuals are amazing (as always) and I really appreciate the change of graphic style in this one cause they're really good and the colors are much more vibrant which are very pleasing to look at. Also the music are very well done too, it really suits the atmosphere. I haven't finished it yet but so far it's pretty good so I'm gonna keep playing and see how it goes ;)
The game is amazing. The concept is nice. The controls are great. Graphics are good then average. The story pupils (like me) will not be bored by the long conversations. Looks of all characters are better in both timelines. But the Antonio's looks were not satisfying in last act. I was thinking the story will end up in different way but it doesn't. I'm glad I didn't read the reviews before playing it coz the beauty of this game lies - besides the amazing soundtrack - in the storyline (so please no more spoilers, guys!!). If you're a sucker for music, piano, rock band music etc., this is just for you!! Loved everything about it. A romantic yet touching real-life story in a short sweet game.
It's no Broken Sword or Ramen Prince, but it's okay. Very simple point-and-click mechanics make it easy enough for first-timers and veterans alike, the music - a titular aspect - is velvety to the ear, the graphics are smooth - for a pop-up comic aesthetic - serious plus there - but the narrative, with its gritty heart-wrenching conclusion (all too real - what a difference from the fluffy saccharine happy endings everyone's used to), is one point where it can seem a little humdrum. I like it...
Beautiful beautiful beautiful game! 😁 I love this game so much. The music, story and characters are perfect! But I do have a few teensy issues. The ending is kinda rushed, Antonio just kisses Sylvia and leaves her standing there. It doesn't explain how she found out about him overhearing her that night. I think that they should make up and like admit their feelings for each other. But other than that, amazing game! 😁 😁 😁
Thank you for the game. This game is excellent. And i cried a bit at the ending and I thought that they would resolve their issues and be together but our decisions makes our story. And I would advise you to make A life in music 2 with a different ending and if you're thinking about it then go for it. Once again thank you publisher for this game. I really enjoyed it.
I had a fun experience playing the game. The story is so sweet and wholesome. I love the interaction between Antonio and Silvia (besides the conflict, of course.). The art style is just amazing. And there's a little musical game, too! I highly recommended to try and play this game.
What a great game❤️,the music the graphics,the story structure is on point,but the ending was unexpected,you could have extended the story into more acts because it still remains incomplete,what happened between that 10 years + the ending in sad way? I wish you guys could make a part 2 of this game😫 if so any in the future.
The game is absolutely great! The art that the makers of the game added is really great, I like how there are music breaks, where you can play classical music, and the controls are very easy to use. But, there are also some things that should be fixed. The game has a great storyline, but sometimes it can be a little cliche or predictable. There are some grammatical errors as well. In my opinion, I would have wanted a happy ending, rather than having to see them separate, but overall it is great
This is a great game with amazing visuals, soundtrack, and story that packs into a great game that I have never played before. The ending is struck me the most due to how it continues to be sad instead of having a good ending that the player can be happy about. Thanks for creating this game and keep it up for future games to come
This is truly a heart touching masterpiece with a great story. In brief, it is perfect blend of multiple emotions along with the involvement of music. This thing makes it more unique. I really loved your other games, this game was supposed to be a great game, but its laggy while interacting. Takes away the immersion. I'm sure the optimizations will be done later, looking forward to playing it when the bugs are fixed.
Absolutely amazing work! The story telling is really so amazing that it's almost overwhelming. Nice visuals, character design and score...... I don't usually post any comments but this one really compelled me to do it. Well deserved guys. Would love to play more.
This was legitimately the best and most aesthetically pleasing game I've ever played. It was so beautiful ✨ and there were no ads! The ending was absolutely amazing and I LOOOVVVEDDDD this experience. I rarely review games but this one... It's SIMPLY AMAZING! ✨✨
I love it but its kinda short to me, and i like saving my progress. But when the end of texting, it says loading and put me back to homescreen, it would be nice putting save progress for this one.
Everything about this game is beautiful. The atmosphere throughout, the storyline and ofcourse the music. Contrary to the popular opinion, I like the ending very much. It's not the typical kind, where they unite in the end, but rather more realistic. Great work!
A really good underrated game. It has beautiful art work and good choices of music. However, the ending seems just not right for this storyline. I hope they will add a chapter 2. It is really amazing, along with the other games they have produced!
The game is amazing, more than a game it bring the emotions in player , love it . It has great visuals and the story line is very intresting and the background music and musical minigame add alot to the game . the music is very pleasing .Gameplay is simple which gives the player to quick hand is playing the game .totally its a 5 star game .Enjoyed the game alot ..! I will be waiting for the unlock of last two episodes very egearly.and believe they will be as awesome as the previous episodes.!!
this was amazing, and the ending...I dunno what the others down there are talking about because it was perfect and unexpected and sad and I LOVED it! the fact that he got the last word in and walked out of her life is just incredible, I wouldn't have minded if they ended up together but the fact that they didn't is perfect and unique. honestly don't change a thing.it is perfect just the way it is.
Awful end, ok storyline, great soundtrack, it's like you ran out of time and did the last chapters so fast that they are so lineal there's nothing else to do than just watch as a 'promising' good story goes down the cliff and gets an awful final, not even giving you an explanation of what happened in the middle of the last chapter and the previous.
A good game with lots of beautiful moments that lead to a very unsatisfactory ending, we get that life is difficult and messy but usually two people who love each other so deeply do not leave each other in the dust. The game is beautiful and well written however, the end is so shocking and so bewildereding that it leaves a bad taste in your mouth after finishing it! Hope you can revisit this issue as many people have complained. Everything else is usually up to a good standard :) Take Care!
Its a nice game. Doesn't reveal much musical history and the story is very relatable. The music minigame reveals Verdi's story but i still can't understand what's happening. Many captions would help. Best bit is no ads and can be played in a continuous stretch
I'm waiting for the last two acts to drop. although the story wasn't something mind boggling and I found the pictures (those stills you show for moments) as childish. The graphics are vibrant but there isn't much of a gameplay or exploring part so 3 stars is the most it can get. It definitely needs more to explore. or maybe I'm expecting too much... Update: Wow. Crazy ending. I did not anticipate that I did thoroughly enjoy it. Something unusual. that's good. Keep it up!
