A Soft Murmur

Got the paid version and often use it to fall asleep to using the fade out feature. Unfortunately a few of the sounds have just completely stopped working for me (thunder, wind, and coffee shop). Even after uninstalling and reinstalling the app, there is no noise at all from these 3. Overall a nice app, but clearly has some bugs that need fixing which can't be overlooked.

Love the sounds, I usually choose the 'meander' option which makes it seem less canned than normal white noise. My only complaint is the app sounds tend to cut out for a second, usually several times in a row in the middle of the night which wakes me up. In fact, it's 3 in the morning and it's woken me up again by cutting out. I love the sounds but am going to have to find a different white noise option that doesn't wake me up with inconsistent audio.

I love this app, and have used it for several years now. I do a lot of copywriting, and it's brilliant for shutting out the world and helping me concentrate. However, having purchased the additional 6 sounds in the app when I first downloaded it, I now wonder if there are any plans to introduce the additional sounds available online (stream, waterfall, rain on trees etc).

Downloaded this app years ago, later got the full version and loved it since. This is my go to app for sleeping. If you need to have it fade out while you sleep you can. You can delay it to turn off. You can make it so different parts get louder and fade into other things. Rain,thunder,waves is my go to. 10/10 would recommend. Which I do all the time.

Ok, so I've been using this with great success to fall asleep in dire situations as well as for focusing when my mind gets stuck on a random song and I need to study. My complain is that while I paid to have some extra sounds, there are more sounds on the website and the website is free to use by everyone. Can't the app be updated with some more sounds? C'mon guys

This app is simply awesome. Check out the Webpage if you want the same experience on your PC. It has helped me fall asleep countless times, and has provided me with some mental respite in stressful times. The loops and audio quality have improved a lot over its development cycle. I can fully recommend it.

Wow! No joke this app is excellent. No junk, no frills, just the sounds that you want and just enough customization. I've started using this at work and I can actually notice a difference in my mood and productivity (for the better). Would love to see maybe some waterfall or river sounds in the future?

This is fantastic - I suffer from anxiety triggered insomnia, and this app is perfectly designed for that. So much better than the other apps out there, the ability to create your own noise mixes is great, and the meander feature that subtly alters the volume is clever. A really slick, well designed app, thank you!

this app is the best, and it is worth spending your money on for the few extra sounds. i play these sounds at home, so when i leave and stay somewhere else for an extended period of time, I have something to keep me grounded and feel relaxed when I fall asleep. i do not regret spending my money on this, and i am so glad i discovered it. some of the most realistic sounds, too, like the ocean, or thunderstorm

I never feel familial attachment to apps. I still download this app, though, and have for years. The singing bowls might be mildly terrifying to fall asleep to, but I'm pretty sure they're not for falling asleep to. I need a rain loop to sleep at night, and this app is sorta becoming like a stuffed animal I can't sleep without.

Does what it says on the tin. Noise playback is smooth and gapless, and you can mix the components to different levels. You can get four sounds for free, with more available if you pay. There's also a timer to automatically turn it off, which is nice.

I can't restore purchase. I got a new phone and was excited to use the app on a device with better audio. But it does not have the option to restore purchases. I already paid to unlock everything (Nov 2018!) and the app does not recognize that even when it's in my purchase history. Really frustrating!

Overal good. It was my go too app. But it has some major issues. I paid 2 years ago for full now i have a new phone and it is no longer unlocked. It also stops working after a while which is somewhat anoying. Give me the features i paid for back.

You can adjust the frequency of certain sounds, i just wish you could adjust it to MORE than they allow you to. It would be awesome to have more thunder sounds. Also adjusting the volume a little bit further for each effect would be amazing.

This app is awesome for me. its comes out me from unwanted stress. what the natural sounds, i like it. i have a suggestion for you that add a feature (sleep timer). so it's automatically turn off the application after set specify time, because i am going in sleepy mode when i hear it.

This is absolutely the best ambient sound generator I have ever come across. I lost the app when I changed phones over a year ago and have been looking for it ever since. I missed it so much! I thought its name had something about "coffee shop" in it, so obviously i was waayyy off. AAHHH!!! 💜💜 I'M SO HAPPY!!!

Great App. I use this every night when i read as i have a LED fire that replicates realistic fire i use the Fire sound and waves just to set the scene. I also find going to sleep with this app is alot easier for me. i also use this app to Write. I have used asoftmurmur website for about 10 years and only just realised there was an App. I wish it was still being developed with extra sounds. Either way thank you.

This app saved me from not sleeping at all on family vacations! The best way to ignore someone's snoring is if you plug your earbuds in and start a noise mix from this app. I really love that it has a timer function, so I don't have to get up while trying to sleep to stop it.

absolutely amazing app! i use it on the nightly and its the best noise machine I've found. each volume setting is customizable for each sound. it's like $2 extra for more sounds, but so worth it (come on, it's cheaper then starbucks)! and the sounds are calming as heaven. get this app!!

Realized I never reviewed this. This is by far my most favorite, most used app. Great quality sounds...and one of the few with gapless/offline playback. Perfect for sleeping, long plane rides, or just general relaxation. THANK YOU!!! Anxious for new sounds...

This used to be my go to app for sleeping to the sound of thunderstorms, but in the last several months, it's an awful stutter fest. I just recently reset my phone thinking it was related to that, but unfortunately, the stutter remains.

I really like this app! I've had years upon years of trouble focusing on schoolwork and staying motivated, and this app really helps me fix that! I just wish there were more sounds on the free version.

This app produce the sound it offers and works great for me, for those time that I cannot sleep or just want to be chill and calm. Although if you could enable sleep timer with the alternating volume that would be great. I think the remove ads is worth it 👍

The app is fine. I like the sound. But recently the app has little glitches where the sound cuts out just a fraction of a second and it's not the best experience. This might be related to my own phone, I don't know.

Was prepared immediately to pay for the full version based on the website but ended up uninstalling. It says the paid version unlocks 6 more sounds, those sounds are on the website. The website also has "more sounds" like "rain on a tin roof" and "pink noise". I see no evidence that these sounds are also unlocked in the paid version, and the app also doesn't seem to have the assortment of premade mixes that you can choose at random. With all that content missing I'll use the site.

Phenomenonal, the ability to play soft rain and a camp fire while ambient music plays from YouTube is amazing, I haven't found another app that can do that and frankly, I'm not looking, I have what I need right here.
