I love the game, but the Multi-player is terrible. Not enough users and really bad match-making. Should've mixed the players from the free version with this one.
AI is stupid and online seams not working as well. I would change the rate if I found development in these criterias. Two stars for the nice and smooth UI.
No way to work online. With the price of the app this is not ok. It opens a modal asking something we don't know. The placeholder is "input" and then how to have an account. Would like my money back
Asmodee logins don't work, and the boxes only ask for input don't state error messages or login name/password to allow someone to get in. You should allow either a webportal login and / or a proper login.
one of the best boarding games on market
A simple game to learn but difficult to master. You need to try and push your opponent off the board by using rows of marbles. It sounds harder than it is! The AI is fun to play against and the game is nice to look at.
v2 is so so so disappointing, previous rankings are lost, graphics are average, "quick game" start layout is gone, there is noone on v2 platform, good luck finding someone to play against in those weird layouts! The chat is a joke. I wish I could go back play v1 it only takes like 10sec to match you with a player
Needs to link it with facebook
Great teaching aid but you won't climb the ratings ladder fast on a Galaxy S7: it hangs unexpectedly saying you're not connected to the network even if you're only on mobile. Tells you to reconnect but it's hung so you can't. It then times out and YOU lose! SO frustrating. On the other hand I got tons of points when one of my opponents who is apparently higher rank than I lost right out the gate and wasn't even allowed to make his first move. So sad... Abalone is a great game.
We love this game at home and now we can take it with us everywhere we go without having to worry about a marble getting away! It also is a teacher of strategy, which I love. Only problem is I can't use the replay button or the one that moves me forward along my path, I have to go back to the main menu and pick all the levels again. There is no where to report this that I have found in game, so I put it here. Even though it is frustrating, it is so worth it.
Fun game. I'm enjoying playing through the challenges to get the hang of the game. Gameplay is great, but some of the navigation within the app seems to be glitchy. I'd probably rate it 5 stars if the menu navigation issues were fixed.
Would be very useful in network game to check the ranking of the opponent before beginning the game. Tends to become frustrating when playing 2-3 times against only top100 and losing badly. Or at least randomize the players on similar level of experience.
Interface is terribly unresponsive resulting in every move taking about 6 swipes. Using a Galaxy S7, with no such problems in other apps. Paid version too, disappointed.
Please add older purchases to family library. We supported you back then. Now show some appreciation. Thanks.
Great port to android. However I lost all my progress when I changed phones. Isnt it connected to google play? Please fix.
I played the game on one phone up to War level and when I changed it , it started from the begining .How can I fix the problem?
Continually adds new permissions, always without any explanation or even mentioning them. Trying to get an explanation via email is like pulling teeth, taking several months of back and forth just to get a BS, half-@$$ed answer that only shows they either have no clue what they're talking about or they're lying, neither of which is something I want from the developer of an app I use only my phone. And the latest "answer" was that there's a bug that caused them and they're working to fix it. That was almost two months ago. And they do this with other apps, not just this one.
As good as the real thing, only u can't lose the marbles on this one! :)
When you press (next level) it does not go to the next and the restart level is not working
That's right. AMA has made the perfect port. The game has wonderful visuals and runs smoothly in my tablet. The game includes the standard version 1v1 with other humans and multiple difficulties AI. In addition, hearing the professional players of Abalone complains regarding the classic standard setup of the game, they include the german and belgian versions and many others. Not stopping there, the developers have included a large series of challenges for the player to pass. This is the best feature, because is a largely forgotten one in other boardgames ports. I hope the next game the port to Android will have similar features, making it the perfect buy. Thank you guys.
Demands to connect to Google Play and to access your circles; if you untick the boxes it says the app is incorrectly configured.
The game itself is fine, but every time I start the game it wants me to sign into Google Play Games services and whatnot... Every time! There is no way of turning this off. I don't care for Google's shitty services all I want is to play that game.
Unable to play with specific users which is a bummer. Opponents are randomly selected. Interface is nice though.
Can this perhaps be played with friends online? Edit: online playing has been added in the new version. You can play with anonymous players. However, there are still needs to be some improvements especially to privately arranged game as well as some bugs in the game play
Iv had this game as a board game since I was a kid and loved it! So happy ins on android now!
I learned about this game at the NY Hall Of Science in Queens county back in 1990. Thank you.
Training levels are helpful. Game play and user interface are well designed.
The game has perfect design in reality and in software
Very good thinking strategy gme
It's a good implementation of the game. The AI is good. The multiple layouts and challenges are interesting bonuses. The UI is really good and intuitive, it nearly feels tactile as the original. Yet, Abalone never was a hit for me, but that's my likes and dislikes. Would rate it 3.5 if possible.
