Finally, an app for the urban explorer! Being able to see already explored places and add new ones for everyone else is an amazing feature! I'm not sure why all these people gave it such low reviews. As far as I know this is a one of a kind app made by 1 man as a passion project. There doesn't seem to be any bugs that make it unusable and the creator is very responsive to questions and feedback. Can't wait to see how this grows in the future! Stay safe out there friends - Highlander
Great idea but it needs a bit of work. Mainly the fact that the app will load locations that are no where near where the map is centered, and then load more locations near that, making it difficult to search the area you're actually trying to look at. If there was a way to set a search boundary so it will filter out locations beyond a set distance it would make the users interface a lot smoother. Just something like a drop needle with an adjustable radius would be incredibly helpful.
Hello I had this app on my old phone and it worked perfectly fine and I could see tons of locations. But now that I download it on my new phone I'm not able to see anything, all im able to see is the map but with no locations. Not even by searching any particular city I am able to get results. It's a great app(when it works) and one of a kind so please fix 🙏. And I originally wrote this message and sent it through the email listed and it says the email address couldn't be found :/
Why is this rated so badly this works amazing! I have a youtube channel called DrivenDeep and I explore things for videos a lot, and this app helps me find tons of places! Also you should really get some ads so you can get a little bit of money from this. Like maybe put an ad at the top of the screen and out of the way and have people (if they want) pay like 2 bucks to remove ads.
Tried to select a location spot and app just locked up. Twice. Uninstalling. There needs to be an app like this, only one that works. Waste of time. Samsung S9 w/ Android v10. Looks like the Abandoned app is not abandoned as the dev actually replied to me. I can't debug it but can only tell what I noticed, the the little progress circle never stopped spinning around and after a couple minutes I was just like ok nevermind.
Pretty trash app. It would be nice if you could comment on each location like if its safe or if theres security. Or how to get there the best way without being caught. Nope it just leads you to the place , half the time its on the opposite side of the road then what the app told you, so if you were to stake it out via maps, you will be in the wrong location because the app is inaccurate. Comments and ratings on each location would solve all that.
Giving this app a 3 because it would be nice if there was a place for information to be posted about the places. The pictures are great, especially if your a couch explorer. However, for those that are not, I feel people could end up in bad a situation or trouble. Knowing if it's public place or requires permission would be super helpful.
Gave it 5 stars for the surprisingly low average of 2 stars for the entire app. Given that it's like the only app of its kind available it's very good. The idea of it is amazing and considering that it would, inmo, be very hard to perfect this kind of app I think the creators did a great job. Would realistically give it maybe a 3.8 cause it could use some work but I believe, that with the needed updates it's been improved with so far, that i no time it will be a 5 star app. Thank you creators!
Great idea but I am not sure on how accurate these locations are. I know for fact that 1 of these locations is a 6mile drive from the actual location. I wanted to use this app to see new places and do some photography but I am unsure if I can trust it now.
So far this is the best app I've come across scouring online for forums I haven't been able to find any good user submitted locations to go exploring, but this app seems to fit the bill perfectly. Within 30 seconds I've already caught several places I'm going to check in to and see what they look like these days. I look forward to future uodates from this app
Tried to pull up the navigation for the abandoned place and the app sent me to an ad, which is fine for free apps, but then it never would pull up the location only ads Everytime I clicked. Very good concept, just poorly operated, not user friendly, needs to be more simple
Although it's a very great app and has lots of potential, it's not easy enough to use, and what I mean by that is that I would like to know how to add places on there but there is no tutorial, I have atleast 15 places I would like to add near the wilmington nc area.
App is slow to load locations and has multiple repeat locations, sometimes in the wrong spot. App just needs some fine tuning and it'd be perfect. RESPONSE TO DEVELOPER: Update didn't fix anything. Now taking it down to 1 star.
Very weird app. I thought it was for abandoned places to explore but it's a bunch of confusing misinformation about places and rando artsy pics. It would be really cool if it was accurate and cut out the weird pics with actual pics of the spot.
So what if it glitches sometimes Who cares. You got something better than this? This app is rock and roll for anyone that likes to discover places if it craps out on you so what reinstall it use a fast phone. This app is badass and the slideshows are awesome too. If it glitches out on you don't feel like you got your butt hurt It's a free app Don't be a gummer pile give it five stars!
Needs mods. Loads of spam spots around Cambridgeshire. Endless irrelevant photos. Link to google maos auto-navigates which is a pain (why not just link to the pin location?) No login required to post as far as i can tell. No wonder the app is getting trolled. Adding a start for a decent dev reply. Actually really excited to see this evolve. :)
It was great at first, been using the app for a few weeks but now all of the sudden none of the previous abandoned locations appear on the map all it is is just a blank map now other than my favorited locations
Some places are amazing but some are not abandoned so you gotta be careful. Some don't look like the pictures but theres always more options as well.
I give 3 stars because this app has kinda good graphics and is a great concept. However, there are very few places in my location. I'm sure this app works great somewhere else, but at my location, it's just nothing. That's why I gave you 3 stars not 1 ;)
Amazing app, it gives you directions to all the locations. However the pics won't load sometimes. I'll be back to give it 5 stars when some bugs are fixed
I cant figure out how to say I'm not on the other side of the world and want local stuff. but at least it shows the spots! I just have to swipe a lot to get to my area turning location on got my to my country but still not quite to my actual area. no biggie though!
Absolutely amazing please keep updating and keep this amazing app going! So many abandoned areas to explore near me, its CRAZY. I get to explore so much! 💖 And no ads at all! Thats awesome
Most of the so called abandoned places logged in the area near me are photo ops for cute kittens and petty flowers, with a smattering of graffiti and scenic landscapes that barely pass muster as abandoned places. Reporting the substandard contributions has resulted in no action suggesting this is more a photo sharing app for old folks.
Nice idea, but a waste of time, the app is full of locations with photos not related to urbex. Location pins are not accurate.
As I was looking up places to go, most of them are showing private property or showing incorrect location for the rest! Horrible app!
Nice! I found many abandoned places around where I live here in Italy, with gloomy pictures posted by adventurous users. The app works smoothly!
Useful app with a lot of got information and posts on it. The developer is very responsive and considers end user input via email. Definitely worth a download so check it out!
hmmm ot sure if it's user error, but im not seeing anything appear on the map. I have a Note9, not tutorial, UI, instructions... need help please.
Best app ever, I don't know why there are negative reviews, but really! except one part when sometimes the spots don't load in. Thank you for this! i found many spots through this app!
How has only 500 people downloaded this?? I don't know. I've only had this app for an hour or two but it really has helped me find a few locations to explore and was surprised to see all the amount of places they actually have on the map. I haven't spotted any flaws yet with the application. The app is also easy to use and each place has a few photos and descriptive words that tell you a bit about each place. The exact location of each abandoned building is also given. 5 stars for sure.
