ABC7 News San Francisco

I wanted to give feedback on your ABC 7 News at 11 but could not find a feedback form. The news at 11 format is terrible. it is confusing and convoluted and has very little news. You start out by saying what you're going to say then saying a bit of it then some additional headlines with music in the background. I is very jumbled and confusing. After watching you for many years, I will find another station.

Notifications open in the app but does not show any content right away. Takes about 60-120 seconds. Voting notifications only show, "Megaphone TV," with no voting ootions. It doesn't seem to work well at all. Also, moving between articles is difficult. Seems to move too fast so it's hard to focus on one article. Too much back and forth scrolling. Finally, the link to feedback is broken.

App has a decent design and in theory could work well to deliver on what it's intended to do, but the execution is very flawed. This app is more unstable than any other news app I've ever used on Android. Expect frequent crashes and blank pages when trying to load from notifications. There are constant hangups trying to load videos, and when watching a live feed doing things like rotating the phone or taking screenshots will disconnect from the stream. This app has potential, but it needs work.

News 7 does not care about the quality of their app. Do not download. Notifications are terrible. Rarely do they open and when they do open, more times than not an entirely unrelated story appears than what the alert indicated. Makes the alert useless. Opening the app is just as bad as the story is still nowhere to be found.

Sony Android 9: App is terrible. I'd get daily notifications that'd open app when I click on it, but video would not load, like it was so big that it took too long to load. So, I'd have to abandon app & search for it on my Chrome browser in order to actually watch the video. Also any links in the app failed to launch. Seems like it was trying to open in app & couldn't do it. It didn't know how to open a web page through the browser externally, & app is just a container of the text. Uninstalled

Keeps me up to date on local news and weather, like the app!

1. too many updates on individual news items. I just need the story once + major updates not every new detail or angle pushed to my phone. 2.Pics in the notification take up too much space so that I don't have enough of the actual headline. 3.I have to back all the way out of the app after reading a story otherwise when I click on another news notification it takes me back to the previous story and whatever I wanted to click on is lost.

I would only constantly get notifications for things I didn't ask for, no matter what I did, I couldn't stop it. Very rarely would any of the notifications be something I was even slightly interested in and then it was impossible to share the story on social media or anyone in my phone contacts. I had to delete the app, it was getting too annoying.

I'm disappointed at the low res video that appears during the news. It's much better when I watch your news on FUBO

missing a very key tool. there is no search bar, at all anywhere. I mostly downloaded this for proper traffic updates. and I cant find the traffic section anywhere. in fact I cant find any "section" anywhere. everything is all just thrown together on a home screen. what's the point of picking favorite topics if I cant actually click on the topic and be taken to a relevant page. deleted.

Super slow just like the browser website. It's unbelievable how long it takes to load an article. My phone WiFi is near 100Mbps download speed from Speedtest. On my computer I am plugged into fiber going excess of 800Mbps. Yet it takes 30 seconds just to load a page from the ABC App and website. Good luck streaming video on this. The quality loads as slowly and looks as good as a RealPlayer stream from the 90s. It's always like this. KGO needs to invest in networking and upload videos to Youtube

I wish this app would work I really do!! When I see a news story I want to see I am able to watch the ads uninterrupted however the news articles themselves play for about 4 seconds then freeze up and will not play. Come on guys please fix this. I have tried adjusting the video settings on my end but I get the same result.

since the latest update it is constantly crashing and restarting. videos will autoplay even though it's set to never autoplay videos. I have uninstalled it and reloaded it several times. ABC7 SF is my favorite station and I don't lime my back up stations as much but if KTVU or KRON apps work better I may have to make the switch.

When you get a notification about a story and click on it, the app continuously opens to a white screen and freezes. I have to force close the app every time and then reopen and manually search for the story which isn't even on the main screen half the time.

I grew watching ABC7 Bay Area. Have been loyal viewer over 60 years. So I thought it would be nice to have the app. I installed several years ago. I Like the news in the app, but found that the share button never worked. Frustrating when the information is important enough to share, but can't. So I Uninstalled. Back to present tense, and still cannot share to help alert others in my community. Disappointed, I will uninstall once again. Never had response from previous complaint. Sad.

Good news app! Lots and lots of updates! Forgot password and can't get back in to change my notifications. Also keeps all the stories for the day so I have to scroll up & down to see a story on my notifications bar. It's not a bad app just a little tricky. I still use it.

Reliably crashes when I click on ANY notification or try to play a video. App uses GB of data but it still has to buffer every video. I like ABC Bay Area news and would like to read their stories but have to constantly force quit and wipe cache to even read articles. Uninstalled it and am going back to Google News.

Slow app, every time I click on a notification to open the story, it takes forever to load. And half the time after it finally leads, it is the story I last viewed, not the new story from the notification!

Do not work well. Blank screens. Crashes. Very slow to open when you get notifications. The design is getting better but very bad UX. One year later. Still the same! Videos never load!

Clicking on notifications take forever to open the content even when you have solid connection. And in some cases, the content never shows up. Makes app almost useless.

When I click on a specific news article alert it takes me to the main page but not the article on the alert. Then I often can't find the article I was interested in. The voting links never open for me either.

I can only watch this news app, but takes up good amounts of storage, best in SF BAY 🗞️ NEWS IN MORNING 🌅👍🤯☘️

I don't like the news teasing and advertising, just give us the News! Also too "One Way" without a Comments option, the old Press model we need to dictator dethrone.

This app fails to keep me updated unless I am signed in. I stay signed in and get shut down after 2 days. I do not like having to keep signing in.... other stations notify me without this problem. Otherwise I like the updates.

Once again for some reason they're is no way to cast Bay Area News. The only app is cbs national and LA news. All the local stations need to realize we are right next to Silicon Valley and there is no excuse to be so far behind technology speaking. Step your game up or get left in the past.

Lotsa Bugs I can't share stories because the share button doesnt work. I cant see a live video because all it does is buffer. Thus app is useless.
