Absolute Drift

The controls are sluggish, clunky, and somewhat unclear. Spent more time riding walls and fishtailing than actually driving. Instructions on how to "counterstser" are unclear and the tutorial presumes too much. Also having a time limit on a tutorial level is ridiculous. How am I supposed to learn the game if I don't have enough time to test the controls? It took me almost 5 minutes just to choose my difficulty because the car refused to go where it was pointed. Incredibly disappointing game.

At times the game feels good but most of the time it doesn't. When you think you're drifting, you're not and your multiplier runs out. You think you're going slow, but initiate a drift at just the right angle and you almost instantly pick up speed and slide right into a wall. And even if your brakes save you, your multiplier will run out anyway. The physics in this game are governed by a set of laws that are contradictory to anything else I've experienced.

I really like this game, and it has the potential to be one of the best. But the issues with the controls are impossible to ignore. The turn buttons have some really strange hit boxes, and I find myself hitting dead zones often. To get this game up to par, the buttons need to be consistent and adjustable. I really hope this is implemented soon, because I love what this game aims to be.

Controls are not good at all. You should be able to reposition and resize the controls. Can't comment on whether the actual drive mechanics because I'm forever missing the turn buttons on the screen. Thumstick setting only works from the one position instead of where ever you place your thumb. Considering it's a game based on fine movements, and steering over speed you'd think the devs would make it as easy as possible to hit the turn keys.

Genuinely my favorite game I've ever played on a phone. Once you get used to the timing and being able to slide, this game becomes a serious blast! Start on hard physics since easy mode is like trying to drift with traction control on. The physics great and the levels are fun. Was genuinely sad when there were no more levels, but I still regularly jump in and to try to beat the high scores. Highly recommended :) TL:DR - Game is amazing. Definitely a leaning curve, but so worth it!

'Absolute Drift' is a disappointment. At least I got it on sale... ——PROS: What little I could see and hear of the game was nice. It has a wonderful premise. ——CONS: The game is unplayable. Controller support is broken; it recognizes my Bluetooth controller exists but it won't let it control anything. I tried using the on-screen controls; despite being a guy that can play console emulators using the touchscreen only, I couldn't make a go of this game. I'm jealous of those of you who can.

Seems like it would be fun, if not for the poor controls. You can't even move or resize the touch controls (see Sonic Android ports for how to do precision touch controls right). If one guy can program configurable touch controls, a whole "studio" can. My thumbs are cramped after 5 minutes.

Absolutely Dreadful more like. The controls at times seem completely unresponsive, made worse by the fact that they are small and can't be repositioned like they can in certain other games. It's a shame. I like the art style, but as it stands it's completely unplayable.

Controls are awful. And I know this because if you use a controller it's actually quite good. If they could fix the touch screen controls it might be fun, but as is .. it's a painful experience.

Loved the PC version, core mechanics are amazing and game is hella fun and pretty-looking. Android version is playable too. Controls (IMO) are okay. Could use the ability to move buttons around the screen. Encountered a bug in which i have had 3 missions left in third world, being stuck with no way to progress except reset car.

Hard to learn, ridiculous to master. It takes some time to actually get all the features of the game, and the game is really really really unfun at the start. I'd say it takes about 1-2 hours of playtime to start having fun, but MY GOD is it rewarding when you get the controls. I say this keeping in mind that the tutorial is ridiculously useless and unhelpful. As lots of people have said before this game is a hard rock with gold that hasn't been mined well at all. Would totally give it a full 5 stars if it had the manual transmission option, and as slot of people are saying, if the controls were a little more responsive and having the option to customize your own button layout, the game would be just as good as it was on ps4

Until I discovered that they left Switch Pro Controller support in this version of the app, I almost gave up since there's no X-input or D-input support and fiddling with remappers is just gross.. So I play with my 8bitdo SN30 pro+ paired to my Note 9 in switch mode and I'm having a blast!

Way better on PC and ps4 hate not being able to feel the buttons makes it way harder but that's a touch screen for you. I just wish the buttons were a little larger.

Played this on PC and console, always thought it would be a great mobile game, and it is! Controls are different at first but once you get adjusted, not so bad. Definite learning curve for new people though.

Controls are terrible, absolutely no control of the throttle, it's either 0% or 100% all the time which makes it very easy to lose control. You're also sliding 100% of the time, there's no grip whatsoever which makes drifting very difficult when trying to link turns.

Nice concept, but this is not a game made for mobile. This is a hard game to play, so the controls need to be well made, as well as performance, which is very dissapointing for a paid game. I have a Galaxy S6 and I have to play at the lowest quality possible to get 20fps, 30 sometimes, which is still unplayable for the game in question.

Cool game. Physics are a little exaggerated, but like most driving apps for your phone, the controls are a pain. Not free, but for the coupla bucks, it is still a good value. Now just to get a hold of the steering...

really fun - almost exactly what I was hoping for out of a drifting game. wouldn't mind a different point of view camera on the car - something just behind, instead of the helicopter type view, but that's just me. drifting seems way easier with the right point of view :P that said, really fun game. kudos to the developers!

The car handling is so absurdly realistic that it is just not fun and is borderline unplayable. The camera distance, no customization, no speed meter, and bad controls make this an unenjoyable experience. It has the makings of a gold game with teh progression, world design, challenged, and unique UI, but it still could have been a lot better.

Bit short but damn this is a fun game Wish there were more cars though And that the freeroam had night mode too Also the game seems quite heavy on resources, is it possible to give better graphics but less lag? Also, the replay data is always corrupted. Have no idea why but I'll try see if I can find out.

Great game. how does it not have HID controller support though...? huge disapointnent. Ignore the reviews that say the controls are bad, you will have a light switch moment where you just start to get it and can drift around an entire track.

I have 3 different BT controllers and a way to plug straight into my phone with a adapter and non of it will let me use a controller. And this game isn't fun with touch controls. I really wish a guide or a list of working controllers was in the information.

I strongly recommend not to buy this game. Despite all of great things such as soundtrack, art style etc. the game has terrible controls for a drift game. Car's suspension has no stiffness at all so it is not possible to control anything with tapping rapidly onto your gas or direction buttons. Also brakes and throttle buttons are too close too each other. Do yourself a favour and buy a PC version of this game (play with controller obviously).

SPINN SPINN, BLAMM, KZZZZZZZ I used my flydigi wee2t for this one and I love/hate this game. Its extremely frustrating to get on how to know how to drift properly without slamming through walls and hearing that unsatisfying scratch noise. But I feel like im going to play this for a long time and its worth mastering it! Also, the overworld is big enough for you to practice your drifting skills, i am even at the world 2 and its very massive, you could practice and just roam.

Cool game but i only gave 4 stars. i'll give 5 when creators will add some cars and let upgrade them and tune. Add some tracks and give more missions and it would be cool to get some rewards for complate missions or/and tracks. Add shop. Maybe some camera angles cause car is little bit to far for me but i love that its in 2D. And please let me set controle bottons how i like them to be. Multiplayer would be amazing. I gave you ideas, now please make people love this game. (Peace)

ABSOLUTE DISAPPOINTED. This game under normal circumstances would be 5 stars. However for some reason they have removed the option for manual transmission on this version which in my opinion brakes the game (no pun intended) Even if you use a Bluetooth controller you recieve no option for manual. Changed to 1 star after being asked ingame to rate, after I had already rated.

Nice game, but it run choppy on my Pixel 2 XL, especially (but not limited to) when you have to hit the blocks and they scatter everywhere. Sometimes the car won't turn even though I'm pressing the left/right buttons. It might be nice to allow other camera views too.

I love this game except that the controls are hard to overcome if you know how drifting works. Counter-steer doesn't exist, it just ends the drift and turns the car the other way.

The people who made this game have never drifted a car. You can set easy medium or but it isnt that simple. Easy gives you an underpowered car with 5 degrees of turning so its hard to initate a drift or counter drift. Medium is the most tame since the game has horible response times between you pushing a button and it happening. Then hard is an AWD car with 2000hp and tires from a 1970s pinto. I thought id try it even though people said the controlls were bad... They are horrible.
