Finally a phone optimizer app that isn't rebranded Canyon-coded shovelware pumped out in a backwards third world country. UI is very well polished and I am yet to see a single ad. I love how 80% is the default, I do the same thing to my ebike batteries and they have very little degradation. Only complaint is that it can't stop the charge at 80%. If you made the app compatible with a Bluetooth plug that would be icing on the cake.
Edit I think the problem below has been fixed... 5 stars. Old review below. I'll continue use just until I find something more accurate or until I find it makes updates to make it more accurate. The charge notification for charge level isn't accurate all the time. For example I set the notification for 60% battery life during a charge but it notifies me at 79% to unplug the device. Way way too late!
Very informative app. This allowed me to confirm that the original battery of my MotoG4 plus was down to just over half its designed capacity and that the replacement had better than 98% of the design capacity which was very useful confirmation. It also displayed useful info about which apps were using the major part of the power as well as tips on how to minimise battery degradation. Overall excellent!
Doesn't work in the background anymore. The alarm never goes off, and the battery history stops after a short period of time. One time, it stopped after 41 minutes. Basically useless at that point. Running pixel 6 pro on February security patch of android 12 if that has anything to do with it. Please fix, otherwise the app is near useless.
Very accurate with good information. Attractive UI. Has a nice, adjustable alarm that triggers when the charging battery reaches the charge amount that you set. This is a nice feature but I really wish it had an option to "speak" that the battery is done so that it is more obvious (and doesn't sound just like any other alarm). One thing I don't like is that it takes a long, long time (many minutes) to collect and display the Per-app Usage stats. If you only charge your battery usually only to 80%, it will extend your the life of your battery. I used this app on my last phone for 4 years and the battery was still in pretty good shape. Great app that really does work. It is worth the money for the pro version.
It beeps at me while charging to tell me when I have reached the high end of my target range (I used to think the best range was 40%-80% but apparently now it's 25%-75%). I can dismiss that alarm via the notification, when I want to exceed that charge; otherwise it will warn me again every few minutes. I trust the app. It doesn't give me unnecessary notifications. I vaguely recall that it took me a bit of clicking to set it up to my liking but since then it's been smooth sailing.
App works perfectly, even as the free version. We think we should charge our phones to 100% but that's not good for longevity of the battery. The app will tell you what's optimal for your battery and alert you when it's reached that percentage, if you allow it to. With cell phone batteries being non-replacable nowadays, it's a fabulous feature to have. There's also much more info given in the app. Thanks!!
Used to be reliable at alerting when 80% charge was reached, with DND hushing it at night. However, recently it's failing to trigger the charge limit alarm, except occasionally as I pick it up, too late, at 100%. Nothing else has changed. The phone is still on Android 11. Tried messing with notification and DND settings, but no luck. SOLVED: rebooted the phone and it's fixed. I suspect app was allowed to sleep despite set not to sleep in settings. Likely a transient Android/phone bug.
Generally a good app with valuable insights into battery life. There is one major problem: This app doesn't know about dual-battery phones (like the Oppo Find X3 Pro) and thus only shows half the capacity and about half the current for charging and usage. The developers said to me in an email that they are working on it, but I'm not so sure anymore that this is true. The last update came out about half a year ago. According to their email this would be an easy fix.
Really helps with battery management. I am using this on a chromebook. I can charge with any USB-C connection, including low power cell phone chargers. It lets me know if I am actually staying ahead of charging rate while using the computer (usually, just barely). Also lets me know when to unplug @ 80%. I have it on my cell phone, as well. I wish I didn't need to recharge my phone at night, or this had a way to interrupt charging.
The Google ad network is still present in the background even after paying for ad removal. The charge alarm is just a default Android notification sound and cannot be changed. I used to have the AccuBattery charge alarm sound but once I factory reset my phone and installed it again, no matter what I do I can't get it back. It does what it does and it does it quite well so for that, issues included, 3*.
My current Samsung is a few years old and the battery drain is starting to become the norm. I've used apps in the past that claimed to be 'power saving apps', however their meddling either caused more battery drain or made no difference. This app isn't like that. Instead you get a deep dive and insight into all the different elements of your phone battery, ranging from discharge rate, app usage, health etc. Knowledge is power, and this app gives you the former. Highly recommended!
Provides a lot of detailed information, but one piece of crucial information is missing: BACKground app battery usage. Something is suckying my battery dry while not using my phone. I hoped this app could help me find the culprit. But alas, it only shows Foreground app battery usage. I believe that identifying what's emptying your phone in the background is far more interesting than what's emptying it in the foreground, especially if you don't use your phone constantly.
I've been a long time user and it's a great way to manage battery health. My only gripe is that current battery health is calculated based on an average of ALL charge cycles since day 1. So it's inaccurate if you had the phone for say a year. It really needs to be based on the most recent data, like in the last month or so, as that's more indicative of current battery wear. Also the "battery capacity" chart needs to remove older data points, as it just clogs up the chart after a while.
This is a great app! The only thing I think I would add is perhaps a low battery alarm, however most people & phones already have low battery warning on their phone. Thankfully AccuBattery will not overwite or interfere with your low battery warning (at least it didn't on my Android). Most of all I learned about how to keep my phone battery in top condition for as long as possible! I'm sure there were ads in this program however I cannot remember them. That's good! Seems to be good. It explains things in very technical ways that can be confusing. I feel like I'm understanding most of the stats that this advanced battery app gives me. It lets me know when my pre determined charging threshold has been met. For me I settled on 85% to lengthen the lifespan of my battery on my Pixel 6 Pro. So far I'm really happy with it. I paid for premium.
On Android 10, overlay pro feature only works on the app itself. Even before upgrading to pro, product support failed to reply to inquiries regarding defects noticed during install. The advertised overlay pro feature is basically inoperative and the help Pokemon example deceptive. The discharge charts are unusable in the ad version, but much better with pro dark mode. Otherwise a very well designed app, but several charge cycles are needed b4 the battery health feature can be evaluated.
It's a handy app for checking battery health. The notification system for battery reaching certain percentage - is awesome. However, the notification sound plays only once and is easy to miss 🤡 I think it would be great, if the app used an alarm like on-going sound, which would be much easier to notice and unplug charger in time. Otherwise, you have higher chance of ending up with full charge cycle...
Simple interface, lets you learn a lot about your battery health and general performance. I'd like to see more graphs, like the discharge over time available in the system settings, and also a running graph of battery health over time, meant to be viewed on a yearly time scale.
[Update:] I gave it five stars when I initially installed it. Alas, after few months of use and installation on two other phones, my initial thoughts don't hold up. The main feature of the app is setting up alarms to avoid overcharging. This feature is simply not working on any of those phones. The notification sound is nowhere to be found in the settings, which results in no notification at all. Reset and reinstallation of the app solves the issue till next update cycle.
