Quite disappointing. The Latest News tab shows articles from July 2nd 2018. The functionality of the app is marginal, and the design reminds me of a time where smartphones didn't even exist. Why not one star? Because I could find the current news in the Archive tab.
This is total garbage. As a long time ACM member I'm ashamed of this app. Can't login with my standard ACM credentials and the Register link gives an immediate error. Please kill this app once and for all or fix it.
I applaud the ACM for offering free accounts. I bet my old one was associated with my school email. I am disappointed that an error is presented when trying to register for a free account.
Oh, I am so disappointed. It looks like the app hasn't been updated in years. Old design, bugs causing not showing current articles.
In "Latest" tab, the date is not updating to today's date. So latest news is not shown. Option is going to archives. I have never faced this issue earlier. Please check.
As a paying ACM member I wish that we could have a functional application. Severely disappointed as this app cannot download updated stories.
Ui is old. Takes forever to load content. No content is loading on the app.
Still doesn't download latest news on my Samsung 5g. Crashes when I click archive. Useless
Please check your application. It has some bugs there. Clear them soonly. This app needs an update.
This app is made for older version of Android and fails to remain current.

Would be a great app, but as you're trying to read an article the Communications of the ACM banner pops up then goes away Everytime you scroll which causes me to lose my place because it shifts the text around.
For more than a year people have been asking for pinch zoom or user selectable fon't sizes but still nothing happens, why? Why constantly ignore your users requests? Are we not worthy of even a response on this much wanted feature?
Text size is too small to read....plz increase it.
Very responsive app and use it regularly. I need to sign on every time can this be avoided. I'm OK to login for admin functions such as change of password. You can have only one font (Times Roman) and it does not look pretty. Prefer a San Serif font as default. Also I cannot change the background -- it harsh white and hurts. Minor changes will go a long way!
The app lacks the ability to reset one's password if unable to login. Seems as though there is a length or other mismatch which registration and login don't accept the same pasted value. One might be truncating early or allow more characters but did not warn of password field restrictions. I registered, verified the email link, went to login and was rejected using the same credentials as used to register. Now I have to go to a browser to request a reset of the password and try something shorter.
Why, even on my Nexus 10 Tablet, is the text so small? On the "Latest" tab with the headlines the body text of each entry is small and no way that I can see to resize it larger. After I click through to the article the body text can be adjusted from completely too small to even read to large enough to barely be able to read. Is it possble for the developers to test this app on a Google Nexus 10 tablet and make it so the text can be enlarged or default to larger text? I would really like to use the app.
Desperately needs an update. It's still stuck on Froyo design with Apple iOS 3.0 elements. It's a bit slow on scrolling as well and uses the settings button which has been deprecated as of Android 4.0. Beyond that, you can read things fine. Just is ancient looking.
No settings for the app, built in browser does not support own content such as embedded videos.
This complaint is not particular to this app, but I hate the trend of gray on lighter gray for text. I find it hard to read.
Every time I try to login appears a message that says "you are not connected to internet"
The content selection is excellent. Unfortunately, the horizontal ellipses at the bottom of the app does not do anything. Tapping it does not generate a response. Is there a need for this to be an app or would a responsive web page design be simpler and better?

But the fonts are too small (at least on my 7 inch tablet), and serif type fonts like the one used in this app are difficult to read at small sizes. I rather read these news in the gmail app for now. Provide different fonts and sizes on different size screens or add control panel to allow users set their own preferences.
I was really looking forward to getting my ACM news on the app. Then I noticed that it only fetched articles up until 2018 (and it still thinks we're in 2018). Nevermind that the app's UI is dated, we can get past that if the actual purpose of the app was fulfilled. Please review and fix your app and I'll gladly change my rating. Or just stop mentioning the app in the newsletter as if it were something that worked. Thanks!
