Not terrible for a first app, but for a professional app I expected a bit more. I actually watched the timer speed up and slow down! And at the end of test 2 the time began speeding up as it counted down the last 10 seconds and actually jumped from 3 seconds to zero! An "alert" button in the corner that would let the test supervisor know of a situation would be very handy. Overall I like where this is headed but I expected quite a bit more, it felt like a last minute sort of implementation.

Excellent UI. The app is smooth and easy to navigate. My only critique is that if possible you could integrate the timers with the phone/tablet's notification settings. For instance just a vibration as the 5 min warning comes up, then again at the 1 minute mark to notify the proctor. Even perhaps a subtle "ding" and the timer ends. I felt as if I had to keep my device open and watch it carefully within that last 6 mins to be sure not to miss a mark or go over.

The app has certainly improved over the last few years. It still crashes too often and the timer can be inconsistent but I think it's much better than paper. The seating chart needs a more intuitive interface and is definitely easier than paper.

You dropped the ball on this rollout. With all that training in the app and on the tcm website, you would think that at least one of those would cover the actual tcm system itself. But nope. Everyone was left to figure it out on their own, and I had to spend a load of extra time helping others use it as I was one of the few who figured it out. But nobody had any clue what it would do upfront. Had no idea it would time things. Didn't know if we were entering seating charts and rosters or what. The entry point and starting process are awkward, since it's not indicated exactly what to do. It was a mess with nobody knowing what it would do. This review is not just of the Android app, but the entire tcm rollout. Providing no training or even a hint of what the whole tcm process would be was a massive failure on your part. You spent all that time making a training section, but couldn't be bothered to write a slide or two for how to use the tcm system. The training you did include will be nice for new people, and an easy way to notify of changes, but the tcm rollout made my head hurt today. And I'm not even the TCC, but a RS that is willing to help the best I can. Now, I'm not saying this system can't work, as I personally liked it, but I can't say that for anyone else that had a room today. It's REALLY close. But we had some technical issues too, though not with the app, but the tcm website. Had one RS start a test, the timer started and she began working on the seating chart. Next thing she knows, it's back at the box to start that test, not having started the timer after all. It's like the timer was started using js or other script locally, but due to a communication failure at the moment she started the test, it never was sent to the server, and instead just reloaded the page when communication was restored. Luckily nobody was relying on the timer in tcm alone, but I think the could be some better error detection and correction if there's a comm failure of any sort. OK, with that said, I hope this improves. Real time statistics are amazing, and I'm sure you've been wishing for them for a long time. So it does have benefits, but some of the RS are teachers that aren't the most current when it comes to embracing new tech. So you really need to spoon feed the basics or you're going to have hundreds of clueless RS and TCCs that have no idea what to do with tcm.

Were thrown into its 1st use w/o sufficient actual training and had several glitches, but it's improving. However, even this 3rd time using the app, it keeps kicking me out just before I need to give the 5 min warning, as if there's a time out if it sits idle. I must log back in EVERY TEST! For an app by such a universally respected company, this is still insufficient for seamless test admin. If not fixed before taking away the print and timers, I forsee many COMPLAINTS and LOSS OF CREDIBILITY!

Frustrated with lag time, freeze ups, difficulty of use. Locked up on me and other room supervisors at my site. Horrible experience when students should feel at ease and supported. If i could rate at ZERO stars, I would.

This app is required to keep time while we proctor the ACT, yet it constantly kicks you out in the middle of testing and forces you to sign back in, which defeats THE ENTIRE PURPOSE of keeping accurate time. While it makes the paperwork part easier, the actual test period is more difficult because it feels the need to constantly boot you for no discernable reason.

I am a room supervisor with ACT. This app walks through just like the website. It's easy to use, if you find the website to use. I can move around the room and control what I need from my phone. Very well done ACT.

The app won't even let me sign in. I put the right password and it'll load for a second and then it'll make me put it in again.

why does it not create a shortcut on the homescreen during installation? I have to go back to Google Play store to open it on my Android phone.

Not useful. Test coordinator functions limited making the app useless. App forces progressive advancement through testing making it unusable on test day when no prior training was provided

The app quit working during the test. Thankfully I kept time on the classroom clock as well as in the app

Both app and tcm website went down during administration of the ACT today. Don't force live testing sessions to be your software beta testers. Unacceptable.

Love how the app works. Makes testing simplistic.

Just keeps having me sign in ... so frustrating

This app moved our test administration into the 21st century.
