Do not buy Action Tour Guides We bought the GPS tour guide for Big Sur in San Fransisco. It was a bad experience for us. It brought us in the middle of the Road and ended abruptly. No further instructions. We had to shuttle between two aps that did not synch well. What a waste of time. We have used other app like GYPSY that layout the points of interest over Google maps so we do not have to shuttle back and forth.
The password is never sent. I have installed and uninstalled multiple times. Never received a password. Looked in mail and spam. Wish it worked. We're on vacation trying to use this.
Easy to download and use. Just the right of information for each point of interest. Would recommend for anyone wanting a self-paced tour!
So, I left an unfavorable review last week, but they issued me a refund for the problem I was having. All's well. Thankyou so much for fixing this.
Amazing! Cheap! Go places even the locals don't know about! Ready to use!
The tour was informative and well planned out. We could go at our own pace. The narrator was clear to understand and entertaining. There were many options available in app and easy to follow instructions. The tour was recvd in email quicker than expected. The maps detailed and easily understandable.
I really like this app. I downloaded the bundle tour for Boston / Massachusetts including Cape Ann. I called customer service because I didn't get a number that I was supposed to type in at some point and the man at the other end was absolutely the most helpful man that could be. I started to lose service and he was very calm and just waited and said he would call me back if I lost him I was afraid I was going to lose my money and he made it so I had a very enjoyable experience he was great.
Need data connection, terrible for most people who travel and use wifi.
The GPS system worked great! There are a lot of interesting stories in the app. This tour was quite helpful to us in terms of enhancing our trip. It's a lot of fun to go to every stop. Must recommended to everyone!!!
The app is a good value if you want to explore on your own time. We purchased the Maui Road to Hana Tour. Instructions were good to the starting point but could have been a bit more clear on where to start and when to begin. We enjoyed the historical content when driving. However, when we started to hit the spots on the Road to Hana the narration was out of sync where we would pass the item to watch out for. Rather than "stay straight" the voice should mention the next point of interest. The Road to Hana is narrow and crowded. App does not give enough warning so you can plan to stop if you want. The instructions an app should also give you some warnings on how narrow and primitive the road is. First timers would probably like to know the road is at places only 1 car wide. App final stop is a National Park. It would also be a good idea to advise the user the best way back to civilization. If you continue on Hana around the island the road becomes dirt only 1 lane and in places dangerous. (just an option or warning would be good) We enjoyed the commentary and for the price a good value but app does have its short comings
We purchased the full Utah package, it was a very good price. Our tour of Canyonland park was a battle with my cell phone to hear the content. We also loaded the guide on Samsung tablet and it worked great. I learned a lot about Arches. Highly recommended, I would not try it on just a cell phone. My Pixel 3a XL almost drove us crazy.
Excellent tours every time! Did Freedom Trail and Harborwalk the first time, then the Newport tours, and most recently the various National Parks. All excellent! Looking forward to all the new ones!
App crashes constantly. No customer support. Paid for a tour which was useless. Avoid this app.
This is a wonderful addition to the drive to Hana in Maui. Will certainly try the other island tours on our return trips.
Never got email with password. Tried 3x!!
Misinformation in tour and terribly simplistic information. For example, in the Houston tour it shows a picture of the Museum of Texas History along with its open times. However that is in Austin! If you want to know about the Texas Revolution, the two hours you would spend driving would be much better spent at the San Jacinto Monument - the 35 minute fim there is worth the time.
Definitely a brilliant idea for something to do in quarantine. I chose the newport RI tour and it was really interesting!
Terrible. Freezes up, and when I tried to fix it, it forced me sign in again. Directions were bad and customer service was no help at all
Taking some time to familiarize myself with the format so I can serve as the tour guide, director of audio for my driver and fellow passengers. Will be neat to try this in real time when we start our journey through the infamous 17 mile drive.
The tour was good. overall a good package.
Very good app! Helped us a lot while touring Boston. I recommend.
Very informative and easy to use. Love this app. Great for anyone interested in history.
Deleted downloaded tours on road. Can't download via mobile. So a complete waste of a day and money
Fantastic app! We did the Gettysburg Battlefield Tour at the end of a lot of paid tours in Washington DC. This was so informative and engaging. Everyone ages 8-41 in our car enjoyed this. All directions, even starting from our hotel, were clear. Everything was clearly marked. I will definitely download another tour in the future! The only thing is that a few times you double back on a road and audio from the other side of the road replays. Just a consideration for the next update! :)
