Edit 2-19-2022 Continuously have to resync ActionTiles to SmartThings to it as it frequently misses the state of some devices, needs a heartbeat to auto resync. It actually is better than expected although if it could read hue and color of lights, and reflect that as the tile color, etc. would be great. Using a combination of virtual switches and assigning specific brightness level per color it works.
Actiontiles is a must have if you are a smartthings user. I have been using the web based version for a long time, and it has been very dependable on keeping my smart all pulled together. They give you the ability to create several custom panels which allows me to have a dedicated tablet for each area of my home with controls unique to that specific room and the devices in it. It is fully customizable and is able to control everything in my smart home perfectly.
It's nice. I find the builder a little cumbersome (eg should be able to rearrange tiles w/o clicking "rearrange" by not dragging and dropping; cannot drag something into a ruleset that is empty is cannot drag the first thing there, only the 2nd and after.... ) Also wish I could build a theme based on the default theme, that somehow has more colors for the tiles than the others. Actually, scratch that. I'd like to edit the color of each individual tile if I want to. Like Sharptools.
Awesome tool to create customized smart device dashboards! I've been using ActionTiles almost from day 1 of setting up my SmartThings hub. This app is a great way to repurpose an old phone or tablet and use it as a smart device control panel or use it on your current device for the same great overview of your home. There are multiple themes and you can create your own. Customer service is excellent as well.
Actiontiles takes your home automation to the next level by allowing you to access all your webcams and Smartthings actions and routines in any web browser. The app has breathed new life into an old tablet I hadn’t used in years, I’ve wall mounted it and can now easily view my cams and control my smart devices with ease. It’s fully customizable with various themes to suit your style and you can create multiple layouts for different rooms/devices. I'd recommend checking out some of the tutorials on YouTube to help get you started. Their support team is also very quick at replying to any queries. Also you don't need a Smartthings hub to use this, I just use the new Smartthings app on my Samsung phone and have added all my Alexa controlled devices to it.
If you are looking for a sweet interface for SmartThings, here is is! ActionTiles has been so many customization options, themes, dashboards. For those of us running a lot of smart apps, custom code, etc, ActionTiles is the best way to share control of smart devices with that "less text-savvy" family member. This is the interface that SmartThings should have had from the beginning.
Best way to view and control your smart home with Samsung SmartThings! On the way out the door I can see that all doors are locked, all windows closed, the weather report, my thermostat settings, etc. at one glance on a tablet I mounted by front door. Easy to set up, beautiful design and look!
I'm not sure why but this app is so much faster than the web app. It's amazing. My only complaint (and I might be missing something) is that my phone's screen (pixel 2xl) has rounded corners and the top of my panels are oddly cut off because of this.
I love this addon since I have figured out how to connect my SmartThings Hub & Hubitat Hub 99% of my devices are on the Hubitat Hub. I us a this App to connect to my SmartThings Hub so Action Tiles(ATs) can controll all my home automation. The only thing with ATs is once in a while it reports the wrong state not all ATs fault. When someone maually unlocks the door the Hubs change state but ATs refreshes half the time. I wish there was a way to force ATs to recheck all device states manually.
ActionTiles is awesome! I bought some Fire HD 8 tablets that I am configuring as smart home / security wall-mounted panels. ActionTiles makes it super easy to configure my SmartThings devices and Konnected alarm system into a very cool looking interface. You won’t find anything better than this...and support is great!
Last update broke actiontiles on all 4 devices I use. No emblems show up now, no wattage being displayed. Question marks show up where a switch icon should be. Using browsers on Android, windows 10, laptops and computers. After 24 hrs the question marks turned back into icons and action tiles can now be used. Caused great frustration as my home and business became uncontrollable. Now my icons are more randomized and wont fall back into place. I will now have to redo my action tile pages.
Without ActionTiles, SmartThings would be useless! Love the smart home setup, but using ActionTiles pulls it all together. I have most of my devices, the weather forecast, the weather radar, the security cams, all on tablets for a quick easy preview of everything's status. Great App.
The application seems ok. I paid about $22 for it on sale. It lets me run on as many devices as I like. How can I go wrong for $22. NOTE: I only can connect to one smartthings HUB My only issue is that it doesn't work on the older Android devices. I wish it had more features. Seems to work good on a Fire Tablet 7" 5th gen. The fire tablets aren't to expensive.
Used to be a reasonable companion to smarthings but since 2020, it has been a nightmare. Keeps crashing and only shows a black screen for all your panels. And this is for hours until it decides to work again. Maybe the owners of the app shuts down the server to save hosting cost.?.
Very powerful tool for setting up your own personalized dashboard. The app and web versions work without issue or delay. If you ever need help the devs are super helpful and very quick to respond.
Found no difference than using a web browser. Love actiontiles, but not the app. *edit per dev request - you can get all the same features using fully kiosk browser, as that is the browser the app uses. It has more options not specific to actiontiles. When I bought this product it was a one time fee, but now they want me to pay per browser too for advanced options like weak on motion in their app.
Pretty cool app. Seems to do what it says. Only reason for 4 stars is because I have 8 "Bond Home" fan remotes... the lighting works fine with dimming available, though the fan tile does not allow for fan speed control... on and off only
This app and web service exceed every expectation, and when i had trouble, the developer himself helped me repeatedly and quickly, and felt like a really friendly dude. If you have SmartThings, you must get ActionTiles. Full stop.
I love love love ActionTiles. I use it with my SmartThings hub. Have several tablets setup around the house for viewing. ActionTiles allows me to not only view and change the status of my SmartThings devices, but I have several weather maps on my screen using the ActionTiles media option, as well as view my Wyze security cameras. Great way to manage your Smarthings. I've used the web version for a long time. This app only makes it better. if you have a Smartthings hub this is a great way to manage it.
Action Tiles is incredibly useful for building automation dashboards for use on any device. Their support is quick, respectful, and all around outstanding!
First let me say thanks and great job to the Action Tiles entire team. That said, this is their first step into the wider world as this app will let the everage user be able to see theis homes graphical control panal. Pros: 1) You no longer need to open you browser and navigate to the Action Tiles website in order to have access to your house control panal. 2) No more needing a URL bookmark on your device desktop which can break. 3) Support. Great support team. They will help with the setup.
I've been on Apple for about a year and was setting up my old android tablet to function as a control panel with a kiosk browser, then I found Action Tiles had released an app. This should help save time setting up the ol'tablet.
This app is so easy to use. I can control my lights, door looks, and other things connected to SmartThings from my phone.
I've been using the action tiles web interface on my phone for years. This application could actually be useful since it loads much faster than the webpage in a browser. Only problem is it opens with the list of panels instead of the panel view directly. Also, full-screen mode is a bit annoying since it hides the buttons on the bottom. So, potentially useful.... but not quite there yet. Too bad
