This is a Windows Admin tool, intended for use by network administrators and various IT professionals. Valid credentials are required to connect to a windows domain.

ActiveDir connects to any Windows Server Active Directory via an LDAP connection. No additional software is required; however Active Directory Services does require a basic certificate configuration to enable encryption (req'd to set passwords). This is typical started by adding the AD Certificate or Certificate Services role.

*RDP and VNC functions are provided by Yongtao Wang's remote tools. All 5 rdp/vnc tools are supported and auto-detected when present, selecting pro over lite/ad supported. Passing the current credentials (effectively SSO) only functions on Pro and Enterprise versions. http://www.remotespark.com/android_solution.html (also available on Android Market)

*TLS Unavailable Error most likely indicates the domain controller isn't capable of LDAP encryption. A connection can usually be made by disabling TLS and SSL in the connection profile. This will allow a non-encrypted connection with the drawback that AD LDAP will not perform password updates without encryption.

To enable LDAP Encrpytion (TLS and SSL):*Active Directory Certificate Services should be added to one domain controller to provide SSL/TLS security, which is needed to set passwords. In many environments this requirement may already be in place, if not adding a private Enterprise-CA for your organization is a fairly simple process. More information is availiable in our FAQ here: http://www.activedir.mobi/?page_id=12

*ActiveDir is bound by the Active Directory Security policies that regulate directory security, authentication and object visibility. Valid credentials must be used to gain required access to the AD system, standard (non-admin) user accounts can be used, under normal security permissions standard accounts cannot alter data without being granted Administrator or Special access.

Quick, light, and straightforward app for AD tasks on the go. Been using it for years; would love to see an update, but no real need.

Great app. Can easily assist users remotely. Any chance that it can be updated for new versions of Android? Can't seem to get mine working on 10, running another phone with the app at the moment

Work fine, user interface can be improved

I have been using this app for years and I love it. Please update this app before Google takes it down!

Love this app. Does what I need!

I often use it when I'm at work or remotely (through VPN). It saved me from booting my computer more than once. I'm not sure the app is still maintained, but it would benefit from a little interface update, and with ARC Welder this would be great to be able to run this app from any Chrome-powered systems (Chromebook for example).

Paired with a VPN client this app allows basic view & edit capabilities in active directory. I wouldn't want to try much more than account unlocks and password resets, but it handles those actions well and has a handy feature to let you get straight to locked accounts. A few pounds to avoid having to find a computer to do a password reset seems fair to me.

You can move a computer if you first find it in the tree, but not from the full list of computers. Also, from the computer list you can't discover what OU a computer is in. The same is true for users. So the actions you may perform vary depending on how you're accessing the objects. That's ridiculous. You should be able to do whatever you can do in the application, from wherever you can tap & hold to get the menu. Why artificially limit actions the app can perform, out of careless inconsistency?

This is a useful app for when I am on the road to be able to perform simple AD Tasks. But the one feature which is mosy noticible by its absence, is the New User. Whilst on client sites I often need to create a new user account to give them access to our help desk, as it stands, I must use my laptop to perform this task, life wold be so much better if I could do this with my Android. I noticed it is on your RoadMap, I was just wondering when it might be implemented?

The user search function just doesn't work. I like this app cause I can browse AD through the tree just fine. I can remote to computers with the junction-ed RDP app. I can unlock and lock loaned laptops. I can go to an office and reset a users password for them, BUT only if I can find them. If they are a new hire, there is no guarantee that they were placed in the correct AD container. So I have to go back to my desk and find them. This isn't too much of a hassle for new employees. But, when I'm helping a classroom of 100 new students, most of whom can't log in because they didn't read their email, it becomes a problem.

After the latest Android update it no longer works. The app was last updated in 2013. I don't think the author supports it anymore as the link to email for assistance from the developer is no longer working.

Works pretty well. A little bit of trouble with screen display when scrolling. I'd have given it 4 stars if I could add users too.

Still the best around. Would pay again to have the gui updated to look nicer. But can't complain. Would like to add a feature when you open the app to trigger a VPN.

I want to start off by saying that this app works great and has been incredibly useful. That being said, it could use a bit of a makeover, namely, current design guidelines and larger tap targets for things like usernames and computers. Thanks!

This is going to be my goto when I'm too lazy to pull out my laptop! For simply actions like reset password, disable users, moving objects or even changing memberships & details this is exactly what I've been looking for.

Pretty decent for basic AD administration. Loses a point for the horrible interface and another for the LDAP search base not being implemented. Otherwise does a reasonable job.

This was a great app for me and I used it all the time. That is until my phone upgrade to marshmallow yesterday. No matter what I do I can't get it to connect to my domain anymore. Weather I connect to VPN or locally as soon as I click the domain I want it says cannot connect to server. I have a Droid Turbo 2 at this upgrade the marshmallow yesterday. I hope this is fixed soon especially since I had to pay for this app

This app works great, but man is it ugly. This can also cause issues with hitting the spots you want due to the targets being too small. I'd pay money for a version with a UI overhaul.

A. G. u. Oct 2, 2012

I use this at work. Overall, I love it. I don't need to carry my laptop with me anymore when making simple AD changes, which is really nice. There could be an option to change appearance, such as resizing the text.

All. G. Oct 8, 2015

Used to be a great app. Now when you select a user it crashes out. Reports to developer are ignored.

A. G. u. Jan 30, 2013

It would be 5 stars if I could edit extended fields. I'd also like to see password changes without SSL/TLS.

Fab. C. Oct 28, 2014

App works great and is very useful but please refresh the GUI. Would be perfect if it looked even remotely modern

Jak. E. Feb 5, 2015

This is a great app to manage exisitig users but there is no way to add OUs, containers, or even new users. I hope future updates will include these options.

Ste. P. May 2, 2017

The app just doesn't work, it won't connect to my server 2008 r2 ad... tried every connection option with no luck

A. G. u. May 25, 2012

Awesome. I can reset passwords etc from no matter where I am at in the office. If I am out of the office. I simply connect to VPN on phone and run app. Love it.

Lau. P. Sep 7, 2013

The free version worked right away so I bought this version. So useful...would be great if the GUI was updated...

Kei. K. Jan 28, 2018

Works very well, only thing missing is option to add new AD user. I hope this feature gets added in a future release soon.

Sea. S. Aug 17, 2015

This is a very useful app for on the go AD admin. I would like it more if the search feature worked and if I could delete accounts instead of just disable them. Otherwise, I've been using it for three years and it makes my life easier. Well worth the money.

I love this app but feel there is still room for some extra features. Features such be able to mange a PC ie add user permission like you can from AD. That feature alone would really make this tool priceless.
