I have used it quite a lot for my travels to school and uni in the last 2 years. I forgot about my S and S2 for the last 7 months and still had 50% charge. Firing them back up and the app didnt let the board connect yet the phone saw the board in bluetooth settings. I messed around with the remote and uninstalled the app, turned location settings on and pressed the board for 10 seconds. I dont know which one worked but its good now. The wheels after 500km+ are starting to slip though.
The app is an utter peice of garbage. Do your self a favor and do not buy any of their products. After my first ride on it the board would no longer connect to the app. Then when I had to replace the batteries in the remote I could not resync the remote to the board because you have to connect to the app to do so and for me the app would not connect. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.
App is total trash. No map. Does not connect to the board. But if somehow it connects, than it lies about the trip distance, or just disconnects during the ride. And how can you change riding mode or turn on/off the lite if it doesn't connects? - There's no way.. Useless app.
Board would not connect. Tried a Iphone and it would connect seamlessly. Email Acton, they say that there have been cases of android not connecting and have sent it to the developer team. Was able to connect before but after updates, app is useless. The board is great and very please with it but the app SUCKS. Also notice the interface on the Iphone was alot nicer and cleaner. Acton, please fix your app for android users
Two stars because the ability to re-sync a remote isn't present on Android. Had to use a friend's iPhone to get a new remote to sync. The ability to re-sync remotes is a crucial function. Rest of the app has worked fine for me.
I was initially frustrated with the app not connecting to my Samsung 8, because it had no problems with iPhone 8. So I followed another reviewers info and it worked. Location has to be on as when looking for bluetooth. Worked like it suppose to.
Bluetooth will not connect After deleting the app and re-installing on 2 different devices. The "Click to scan" will not scan for bluetooth device (i.e blink board). submitted a repair ticket and that process is bogus. Cool product with the worst support.
On the phone, I can't even login to the app for the first time (Android 8.0.0). It doesn't tell me which website/service I'm logging into, so I can't look at my records to see which account it's talking about. However, it DOES tell me my email is ALREADY setup in an account, yet when I tell it I "forgot" my password (which I never set up for acton or actonglobal to my knowledge), it CONFIRMS an email has been sent to my email address. Yet..(after 2 tries and 30 minutes) nothing has been mailed to my email account. (I verified my email is working properly) Edit: It's now been several hours since I was told it was sending me an email...still nothing in my email from Acton or related. Other emails being received just fine.
Very basic app doesn't always track your miles, battery percentage fluctuates on it a lot. Overall it's a good app that gets the job done but it could be better
Hasn't been updated since 2018. Won't tell you battery percentage or miles traveled. But at least we can turn the headlights on and off on the blink S2
If your board will not connect, turn on location then connect the board. Some update screwed it up but that fix worked for me. Android 9, note 10 plus.
The app takes a while to connect and should provide away to turn off the side lights as well. It also doesn't record all the km that I done
it doesnt shows my overall trip records, i think its kinda glitch in this app it's been already about a month. please fix it please. and also app makes me wonder what's the points given with challenges for??
having an issue with the remote and it wont allow me to scan for my board. this leads me to be unablw to re-sync my remote.
Needs improvement. I believe their team will get there in time, but for now the app is pretty eh. Only got 5mi on my first charge though. What's up with the qu4tro
Won't sync with my board and I can't resync my remote without the app. Should've got a meepo. 😭
I used to be able to find my Acton S2 and connect to the phone app, now i cannot. I am using an android phone.
I have had this app for years now, and to this day, this crappy app still cannot pickup on my board when I am not a foot away. 0/10 Useless
The app forces you to create an account before you can use it which is ridiculous! Let your customers use their boards without jumping through silly hoops.
Won't pair. It sucks. Don't get an Acton board, go with something more expensive and that actually works!!!
Using Samsung a20e does not connect to my board, why make important functions have to work using unstable bluetooth apps

App worked fine on my first phone, but then when I got a new phone it would not work at first. I noticed other reviews complaining about switching phones and not having the app work. I figured it out, at least I think I know what the problem was; You have to make sure location is turned "on" your phone. Once I turn on my location then the app immediately communicated with my skateboard. I hope this helps anyone having trouble with the app.
