AcuraLink Connect

This was definitely built by interns for beta testing. Very slow to connect, sloppy results whenever you attempt to send a command, a clunky UI, the list goes on. The slap in the face is the cost of it compare to it's competitors while missing some of the most basic features like notifications that your doors were left unlocked or windows left open, WearOS support, biometric support (with AcuraLink you have type in a 4 digit pin code EVERYTIME you try to start your car).

Over $200 a year for remote and security subscription! Pricey for what you get in return. Where is the option to preset or adjust the climate settings to desired tempurature? Front and rear defrost? How about turn on heated stearing wheel? Lastly, where is fingerprint unlock of the app. Got some work to do Acura. Let's go!

Free trial period was coming to an end for my 2022 MDX. I renewed the remote subscription and paid the annual fee. But now it just says "remote command failed" every time I try to send a command. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app. I have removed and added my vehicle. Nothing works. Really pathetic for a paid app for a new "luxury" vehicle.

I like the app but it's pretty slow to respond from the time you put in the command until the car actually does something. I would like to see the app updated where you can control the lift gate also with the app

Adjusted back to one star. Remote feature stopped working after subscription expiration. Renewed subscription, remote feature still not working, and the concierge rep tried to blame my device as if I'm an idiot. Uhh, no. Your app is trash. Fix it. And stop charging customers for a feature that should be free.

It's a little slow with the commands when trying to do remote start or just any other options that are available. Maybe you need to increase server capacity? If Acura wants to be a premium brand then we would expect a more premium experience.

Does not work very consistent and presently will not allow me to use at all. Repeatedly asks to update. My experience with Acuralink has been dismall from the beginning and IF it is working the features have been limited.

Acceptable, in a last generation sort of way. It's pretty slow and missing a few things - it can't find your car which seems like a no brainer. When you use the map function, it finds you not the car.... max times you can remote start is 2 without resetting it manually. There's no override. And there's no way to set a schedule for it to start automatically so last week at - 36 it wasn't really much help especially with no block heater. No way would I pay a subscription for this product.

Reinstalled for a 2021 TLX. Extremely slow, most of the time it fails to start the car. Still have the complimentary for 2 1/2 months, but most of the features just don't work. Why would I pay for it, if it's a hit and miss? C'mon Acura, you should, no... you must do better for your customers! LE: Just read the latest reviews. It appears that almost all customers are going through the same issues as I described above.

I can't believe non-luxury cars get remote start for free for the life of the car. yet, we pay a premium only to be charged yearly for the same feature on an app that has a less than 100% success rate. The app is 50/50 on whether or not it would actually start my car. And when it does work, there's a chance I won't be able to get into my car unless i cancel remote on the app. to add insult to injury, the loading times are atrocious. the benefit of this is hardly worth the premium they're charging for this

Horrible app. Remote start doesn't work many, many times. Sometimes takes 3 times to connect (no, there's nothing wrong with my internet connection at home). When I go outside to get into my car, it's running, but I can't get into my car! I hear it beeping inside the car. Only way around this horrible situation, sometimes in complete darkness, is to pull out my phone, bring up the app and shut the car off via the app. Now I have to start paying for this horrible app in a week? Wow, just horrible

This app drives me up a wall. It auto renews services I never signed up for, even if I put in the correct password it won't let me log into my account. I litterally have to change my password every time I have to log in again. Most of the time I get a failed to send request message 2 or 3 times before it actually starts the car.

This app compared to Onstar is very buggy. For a $50K vehicle, you should be provided a fob with the remote start, not pay a $100 a year for an app service that allows you to remote start your vehicle. Remote start through this app works most of the time sort of. Sometimes it will lock you out of your car. This is a known issue by Acura. Why won't the developers fix this bug? Fix it Acura! Another issue is my app crashed and locked me out. So, I had to uninstall and re-install. Not impressed.

Wouldn't waste the money. U will have problems with auto start feature if u don't sign up for the optional $89 security link feature and that is on top of the yearly subscription for acura link.

only option available in app are, make a service appointment, support, and vehicle info guides... Update 4/22 "an error has occurred please try again later." Unusable, vehicle lost features! Thanks alot Acura/Honda

App doesnt work on my pixel. Says "Something went wrong. Please pull-to-trefresh again to update details." Of course when I do this, nothing happens except the same dialog box reappears. C'mon guys it works on my ipad but not my android, what is this 2009?

Update: Since the latest update it is now connecting around 75% of the time. It's still a 2 - 3 min process to send commands to the car. I have found some Wi-Fi networks just do not work with this app and you must switch to cellular signal. Only connects 5% of the time to my brand new car. It doesn't matter where it is. It could be in the garage at home or in the parking lot at work 150 ft from me. It simply does not connect. How could they expect anybody to pay $500 dollars a year for this.

This is the most unreliable app I have ever used and a worst part is I HAVE TO PAY A SUBSCRIPTION FEE JUST TO START MY CAR REMOTELY, both my daughters and wife's 2018 CR-V has remote start under key fob but a car that cost double those I have to pay a subscription?? Half the time it doesn't work now it's saying there's an update but then it doesn't update it just goes around and around in a circle and I can't start the car.

Live version seems more like a beta. I've only had this new vehicle for a few months and it's crazy to think that one would be required to pay upon trial expiration to continue using remote features that are spotty in performance in a large metropolitan area.

Acura Link services haven't worked for me for about a month. Considering this is a paid service I'm absolutely disgusted. I have done everything they have suggested as far as uninstalling and reinstalling and nothing is working. Mine just keeps saying authentication failure.

The app is currently telling me to update but there's no update available in Google play as I already have auto update enabled. I Uninstalled and reinstalled the app and I'm having the same message that it requires an update. I've already paid for my subscription and it's very unfair that I cannot access the app to use the features.

Doesn't work for 2013 Acura RDX with Technology Package. 3G wireless standard is no longer supported and there is apparently no fix available from Acura.

Extremely slow and I don't understand why it doesn't give me my milage and how much gas is left. Everytime I refresh the app still doesn't correct itself.

The app is not functional. It hangs and most of the time, I have to close and open. It's a poorly designed app for even remote start. I don't understand how it passed quality control.

Super slow. And very disappointing. My subaru app worked why better and way more options. Super disappointing for a 75k car

It's a nice service however it's updates late in regards to locking and unlocking the doors so sometimes the info is incorrect. I wish you could pay monthly.
