Ad Skipper for YouTube - Skip & Mute YouTube ads ✔

It Works. . .but keep reading. It's a strange app. It needs a few days to sort of "acclimate" to your device. I thought it was junk but forgot to uninstall it. Sure enough, after a week, I notice my ads are quietly muting and skipping all by themselves. There is a slight pause in the playback as this happens. It's pretty cool, no more getting interrupted. It doesnt obliterate them but it works. Somehow, it has been doing it on my computer, too, where it is not installed.Carry over via youtube?

This app is fantastic! It does exactly what it says and it works great! The mute ads has a bug: use some bluetooth earbuds, and change the volume while an add is muted - that changes the max volume that you can get (the volume bar still goes to the max but the volume is clearly lower). To fix, disconnect and reconnect the earbuds. But as long as you don't change the volume during an add you're good. As a thank you, I paid for the premium even though I don't need those extra functionalities.

so i do house chores and just put a nice mix in the background and every now and then i had to stop what i was doing to skip the ad. annoying! today i swiped the entire yard and the app skipped 4 ads for me :) didn't have to stop and waste time and it was so quick i sometimes didn't even notice there was an add. you see at the end, the app counts the amount of ads skipped. so, if you can't block them, get this app to skip them automatically! highly recommend.

Works perfectly! Not just skips but silences them too.. I like to fall asleep listening to a video sometimes, then the shouty people would to wake me up. I am so absolutely sick of advertising. 39 years of constant merciless spamming across every platform. This really helps. The free version worked fine but in this case I wanted to support so have upgraded.

This is great. Dulls out the sound of annoying adverts and speeds them up so they only show for a second. Nice concept. Very well executed app. I would also like to see a function added to this app. Sometimes you see a little bit of an advert that does interest a viewer. I would like to have a way to either go back and see the advert or quickly stop the app from speeding up the add. Doesn't happen that often but occasionally that would be nice to have. Designers do a great job of responding. 😀

Thank you. These ads are excessive and intrusive, and often longer than the content that I need to access. Your blocker is just right. I can still click something that I may be interested in but if not, the ad terminates in a very reasonable time and what I am actually listening to is played. It is far more pleasant and productive. It says what it does and It does it well. No annoying ads that display on youtube or the pull down menu. Stays on even after phone dies or restarts. No problems as of end of 2019. Ps it skips ads not blocks them, so if your looking for that, this is not it. If you are looking to never have to hit skip this ad button again, you have found it.

works pretty well, does what it says. if you have YouTube open and a 4 minute ad comes up, as soon as the option to skip the video shows up it will automatically skip the ad, so you can still be away from your phone and not have to worry about going to your phone to turn it off. however, youtube app has to be the main app you are using for it to work, you can not be on another app and watch YouTube (which you can do on the note 9) you have to reopen youtube and then it will skip, small letdown

Works great for PC, I highly recommend that version. I have zero issues with the PC version and it saves my sanity from the greed of YouTube's ads, especially for videos that are just pure lyrical. However, for Android I find it doesn't work. It worked for one ad and that's it. For PC I haven't run into ads since. Android? Not really effective.

There's little to no point in downloading an app that boasts the standard YouTube functions as its own features. Having to wait to skip ads, just like normal YouTube, isn't a plus. Being able to turn off sound, just like every mobile phone since the 90s, isn't a plus. The only good feature this app has is an option to bypass the waiting imposed by YouTube, and they've gated that one off for the paid version because they KNOW that it's the only good thing they're offering. Don't waste your time.

So yes it's a good app, it does what it says. For those of whom only rated one star saying it dosent block ads, your correct, it dosent. But it's called Ad Skipper, not ad blocker. It skips ads so you don't have to do it yourself, it's like an ease of life thing. My only thing as to why I rated four and not five stars is because I have to go back into the app to turn it back on, it does shut off randomly and I'm not sure why but maybe it's something that can be fixed. Other than that, great app.

My only complaint is if you have an old cheap Android like me, you can definitely feel the lag whenever a video is playing. Other than that, I was honestly surprised when it actually skipped an ad, I didn't know such a thing existed! Edit: There was a really cool ad playing and I was genuinely interested.. it got skipped!! :( 10/10 on this app though. No more lag and will forever hold a special place in my heart. All other browser-based ad-blocking apps have huge lags for me.

The back and forth is tedious. You always have to manually turn the ad skipper on and then back to the YouTube app repeatedly although you already turned it on just a few seconds ago. The ads on YouTube is cancerous enough already, with the sudden loud noises, the flashy lights and the annoying unskippable 20 seconds ads. The purpose of this app was supposed to help with that but it doesn't even work when it was suppose to.

Its pretty good. Won't skip ads unless you're watching the video (so if it's minimised while you search for other videos), but always skips them after 5 seconds while watching. Has trouble with audio if the ad plays before the video starts (cuts in and out) but if the ads play after the video has started then there's no issues

what a complete waste of money, I bought the premium and it was a waste. It does not persay Skip any Ads first of all. however, it will hit the skip after the Complete ad plays through. so, instead of just skipping you get to hear a choppy ad that is worse then hearing the original. I did learn one thing however, and it is this. Sometimes in life we must consider a poor investment and accept our losses. This is one of those times. Please people take head of the comments, bc this will save you.

This app is a lifesaver. How on Earth did I live without it for so long? The auto skip feature would be worth the price of purchase alone (if it had one) and is invaluable if you're in the shower, say, and can't reach your phone. The mute feature isn't perfect, but it definitely helps. Altogether, thus is one app everyone who uses YouTube should have

it did work for a night. since I use this to help my little one sleep. it muted and auto skipped ads on Yt but now 20 hours later the ads are worse. I now get up to 5 back to back ads and can not skip them some are 20 mins and no skip available. so I close yt and have reopen hope that I get short ads. I tried to use in administration mode it didn't change a thing. easier to use a DVD than watch Yt these days. thanks for trying. but Yt wins the Ad war!

Originally I gave this ap one star because it did not work. However, after CORRECTLY installing it on my phone, I find it works as described. Nothing is more annoying than having a ton of ads interrupt your listening experience. This is ap eliminates those annoying interruptions. If you hate ads as much as I do, GET THIS AP! Period...You wont regret it.

Ok. So when I have paid to use this adblock. The name of App is changed and I see that its only ad skipper. Which also doesn't work unless each time I have to give accessibility. If I have to give accessibility every time, why can't I skip ads manually? Totally waste of time and money. Don't fall for it.

I dont know how much i have to thank you for such a simple yet satisfying app. Thanks a lot. Maybe sometimes it doesnt work. But even with mute option enabled i barely saw any ad since i installed it. But sound pops up if i touch the screen while ad is on, and sometimes when i rotate the screen it plays the ad sound for a short period of time. But that is nothing in comparison with the rest i got from stupid ads. Thanks a lot!

Worked for 13 ads then stopped working. I tried following the advice on the app to get it working again but the instructions were not applicable to my phone...or incorrect instructions. I found the app also had its own invasive ads that would take over my screen and audio while i was trying to navigate the app to solve my issue. So no, this app ultimately didn't work for me. Thumbs down

Does it auto skip ads? Yes. Is YouTube designed to circumvent software like this? Yes. After a few days of using this app, the amount of ads I can skip has dropped significantly. The ones which can be skipped are irrelevant because they are immediately followed by a second ad.

App does as it is intended and skips ads. The mute feature works so long as you are not doing anything else on the phone (you may also get a second of sound before it mutes it). Great app that I've been using for a little while now.

Works exactly like advertised. I use it daily and until now it didn't skip only a few ads, but maybe that's because I was using others apps at the same time. Love the muting option too, even if it's just experimental it already works like a charm. Thanks to the devs for this app.

Works great (including mute) when app is in full screen. I mostly use yt as a mini window (so a different application is the main window) and it does not access yt (does not work). This is unfortunate for now but I think an easy write-in for the developers, and hopefully will be fixed in future releases.
