Rubbish app, if it loads it's jerky won't switch to clear mode swapping to a zosi box ASAP.
Originally, it seemed to work fine for us. No issues . BUT, now, for some reason it has stopped working. Keeps reporting that the CCTV is offline...when it isn't... doesn't matter how many times you uninstall and reinstall....it's now just basically a software paperweight...no good to man or beast...two tin cans and a length of string would be more useful... don't know why they keep doing this to their app....if it ain't broke, don't keep trying to fix it with updates that mess it all up.
Very good - easy to set up and crystal clear vision . Would like to get movement notifications to my phone though - maybe that option is there somewhere but I haven't found it yet . 6/11/21 Works great - odd time that it goes offline on my phone then I just shut down and restart the hard-drive unit and reconect to the wifi network . It doesn't happen as often as it used to so that is an improvement from 6 to 8 months ago when it happened every 3 or 4 weeks which was a bit of a pain - better now
OK so far. Now 3 months on since last review. The only issue that I have is that the system keeps going offline when I want to view remotely. There's no problem with my Internet because I have other gadgets that I regularly use that work ok. There has been excellent support from the guys at Philex when I've needed it to address other issues associated with password resets.
Works but needs improvement, HD/Clear mode has stopped working, which is not useful when trying to see at night. *update review* The latest app update has improved the experience and the issue above no longer occurs. The only thing stopping it getting it a five is the main 4 small camera screens are no longer loading and need to be clicked on individually.
Can't connect to the device, works for few hours and stop, so for overall performance only one star, not happy with it. Rewiev after while, with long time without connection to camera app start working but while you are connected to WiFi works perfect and when you are somwhere else it says thay you recorder is off line. Tryed may phone settings and its still the same. Good improvement since last time but there's a lot of room to improve. Review at 01.07.21 All working as it should be
This app is so annoying to use. Every time I try to add my cctv device on my smartphone using this app, I get a Connection Timeout error message, which meabs I am unable to view my cctv house feed remotely, so basically it is pointless having a cctv system installed. Update, issue resolved after several attempts. Seems user instructions that came with my cctv system were not clear enough - Enter key has to be pressed after inputting password, even though it not part of password. Simple, really..
Always lags, doesn't capture movement all the time, doesn't record most of time and freezes quite often. Needs a simplified instruction for how to use and on paper rather than pages and pages you have to download and search through to help.
Notification still all over the place,just as well you switch it off cause you will get random notifications whereas you will waste a lot of time and effort in trying to find the matching footage...DEVELOPERS have a look at ring app, you click on the motion detection and it will take you straight right there!!
Very slow, poor navigation control, doni have fast forward, or find next movement. Time are not sync correctly. Data Lag in camera change, can't see multiple camera on review, review need to go in separate menu, and lots more I have time to say. As a software expert I told you this app should rewrite completely from scratch
Worked great over a 12 - 18 month period the system and the app, but in the last few days the app kept crashing, so I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it, and now when I try to add my device. I keep getting a connection time. Out error......and now unable to view my home remotely via the ad cloud.
Still keeps ceasing to work. Does anyone know if there is any additional app out there that can support the cctv system or is it time to move on. I'm bored of it continuously telling me there's a connection error when everything is working fine
Worked ok for a while but since latest Samsung update trying to view or playback in landscape is hopeless as the image is squashed down to the bottom of my screen. Portrait is still working but not a very good optiom for my tired old eyes!
So frustrating, the app would only send notifications intermittently and then only if I had cleared the last notification. I would eventually get no notifications despite the cameras showing motion detected. I would have to uninstall and reinstall to get it working again, but it would only ever be intermittent. I got no answers from the supplier and no answer when I emailed the app developer I had to return the CCTV as no good to me without notifications as advertised.
Started well now its all gone to pot....always says it's offline when it is not..phone will rarely connect to device when not in close proximity..app won't update to latest version? ..even camera times do not match the playback times in the app...was good not so much anymore.
When it works it's brilliant but every now and again it goes offline and you need to unplug the hard drive which is real pain especially when you are not close to it.if that could be fixed I'd give top marks. It's a very user-friendly app so.
Works fine and easy to set up, view your cctv system on the go with mobile and tablet, resolution:352x288 and the FPS hovers between 6 and 7 so any type of movement captured has a slight delay, it mlght disappoint some users but it doesn't bother me, it does the job and thats all that matters.
Works...mostly. Very low quality footage and no option to increase the quality. Wasnt too bad to connect to the Aldi Home Security kit as it just used a QR code and connected straight away. No good for viewing stored footage only useful for low quality live footage.
Had initially some disconnect problems with network, in that it would work for a day or two but then would not connect. i resolved this by changing the CCTV system (Aldi) to use a static IP address with my BT router and since then I have had no further issues.
Works as expected, no problems with it. Can't comment on the notification feature as I don't use it. Would be 5 stars if there was a fast forward option for playback of saved videos.
Just installed my cctv about 6 weeks ago and initially it worked fine, until the apps had recently been updated now I cannot connect to my system at all, please look into this issue as I know I'm not the only person who has this problem. It needs to be sorted ASAP.!!!!
Had the apps on my phone for a few weeks and now it wont work, its saying no connection. I have unstalled it and installed it a few times and still it wont work. This is so annoying when the apps dont work when u away from the house. Not impressed at all.
UPDATE. 30 / 11 / 2021.. The app tells me there is a new version 2.3 available but when I go to the play store no new update, only old version. Also Camera shows me the correct time zone, but playback is one hour behind, with no option to set in the app.
Excellent update, fixed all the bugs i was getting, the app works very smoothly now and aspect ratio is correct, also they have a very responsive developer team, they replied to me very quickly and gave me the solution to the issue I was having with my dvr box
App works OK. On playback it would be good if you could speed up or slow down the footage and also be able to adjust this along with time and date on the landscape mode.
Works well with aldi 2019 cctv also use fire 10 hd but only as live viewer and drops out often not designed for this tablet but ok for my needs. Maybe a in depth vidio on setup a good idea.
