I used this to play Shadow President and CyberJudas on the go. Ever since I have upgraded to S5 from S3, it cannot start up. You need a rooted android kernel to get to the configuration file. If you guys can add S5 support, and add the configuration file with out root (S5's are extremely difficult) I'd be more than happy to even buy this app.

This is the best Dosbox emulator far superior then that crappy Dosbox Turbo. The music and gameplay is smooth as they come. Thanks for all your guys hard work. Hope to see more updates in the future. Getting constant crashing on all games such as Raptor call of the shadows and Skyroads. Runnin OS rom CM10 Alpha 3 on Droid X2.

Great port. Was able to get my autocad 12 to work after i changed to vga mode. Still have issues with plugging in a usb mouse and having dosbox recognize it. Im using galaxy note 2 and it runs pretty fast. Its great to have dos on my amdroid since i grew up on dos. :) forgot. Onscreen joystick doesnt always turn off and more keyboard chars would b good like ctrl c. Better mouse support as well. But great program.

All most perfect but was bumbed out about the poor mouse support. I would suggest adding real support, not just touch. the direct keyboard seems to work for the most part. Also unlocking the Z drive so the Autoexec.bat can be edited would also be nice. On a plus I can run win 3.1 in this emulator. which opens up a huge app set. Sofar I have installed the win32's , ms office, ie 3, media player, quick time and the windows entertainment pack. All works and responds nice, minus the mouse issues.

To when i was a wee child and my father (whom worked for Gateway at the time... If you remember them) Would show me the commands to fire up games i loved to watch him play. *cough*Doom*cough* The torch was passed that day, and today i showed him how to make Panzer General work on an Android device! Superb app

Works like the PC version. Playing BUILD engine games again on the phone (need to have vdm sound batch file to make sound work correctly). Although using onscreen keyboard makes games impossible, its great for that nostalgia "Look what I can do with my phone" rants.

Not for early Androids which flip back to some random screen at esc from running basic program, then it's esc again to get to source text screen. On later Android it doesn't respond to Delete key, nor Esc, but backspace deletes, and Android system return bent arrow does Esc. Also cannot find DosBox directory when looking for Readme file, where I hoped there might be something about key-designation. AnDosBox puts up a choice to close or cancel when Esc-ing from a Basic running pgm - which is a slight pain but you get used to it. Very many thanks to whoever put these together !

This app works great and almost flawlessly especially on my Tablet. though one complaint I has with, which I think maybe not the fault of the app, is that ctrl, esc, Function keys on bluetooth keyboard don't work with dosbox. I read that this is from android OS special keys, I read it is possible to solve at least on rooted devices, but haven't had luck. I hope the app developer can find way and take advantage of root permission to make dosbox respond to function keys and ctrl. one other feature I hope to see is a reset option, that restart dosbox after confirmation. the work around I do for ctrl and esc keys I set them in on-screen keys, but it is not ideal solution.

Works perfectly on Iconia Tab a500, works even better with USB keyboard. Most games run fine but some of the "heavy" games like Duke 3d don't run well, I might just need to do some tweaking though to make them work as the Tecra chipset shouldn't have any issues. will enjoy watching this app mature.

I like nc on my rooted sensation xe with virtuous sensation rom. Its just that the controls and sound lags a lot. And mouse emulation does different stuff than the things I want it to do. The mouse is basically unusable. When I press left, half a second goes by and then it recognizes my command and also it still thinks i am holding down the button although I let go ages ago.

installed this to try and get simcity 2000 running, and it runs... but a fairly major gripe I have is that when docked I set up adosbox to have a trackball so I could use the dock's touchpad. the touchpad on the dock only works when i have two fingers pressed down. When I do this however, it interprets a left mouse click so it makes playing games that require a mouse virtually impossible. the same problem occurs when using a physical mouse, I need to hold down left mouse button for the mouse to move and a left click is registered. and of course because it is emulating the mouse I see two mouse pointers on screen. it makes it a bit difficult to use the mouse. if you could work on compatibility for ACTUAL mice to control the mouse pointer it would be greatly appreciated. one other problem is that the onscreen keyboard doesn't move the bottom of the screen up, so you can't see what you are typing into the dos prompt. others have complained about the inability to rotate the screen so I'll throw that in as a desired feature too. apart from those gripes it does what it's supposed to do and I'm chuffed with it. a great little beta, here's hoping you keep up the good work.

I use it to play CD version of Panzer General. By tweaking the config file, I got sound and speech working ok. By skipping frames, the game is just playable on a quad core tablet with SWAP. But it is still slow, this emulator should make better use of cores and 3D card for speed. Compared with nesoid, snesoid and gensoid it is really slow.

A. G. u. Sep 14, 2012

wow...almost as good as the paid AnDoxBox... except it needs a few things for it to be 5 star awesome 1. speed should be about as good as andosbox..it's CLOSE. but almost there. 2. PORTRAIT MODE. with the giant keyboard in the way..I can't play ADOM or my other classic rouge games or not many games for that mater. 3. CPU cycle option is a bit confusing. on a positive side. AWESOME JOYSTICK. it actually works!! Better than the AnDOSBOX developer separately charging for his joystick named GamekeyBoard.

This app instantly crashes when I try to use it on my LG G3. The first time I ran it the setup menu let me config it, then crashed, and now it just crashes outright. I'd love to attempt Elder Scrolls: Arena on my phone :(

I definitelly miss the full keyboard mapping - many games require e.g. F-keys. I can configure just 6 of them. Other thing is the touchscreen mouse mapping. Complete disaster - no way to establish correct positioning. I use hardware touchpad as well as the touchscreen but none of it is working at all....

This works great but although im new to DOS im learning the commands very quickly my only issue is that after installing a game I really am looking forward to play whenever I run it it says I have the wrong disk inserted. The game I installed is the elder scrolls daggerfall and if this helps my.devise is the Sony Xperia tipo and the arnova gbook if this gets fixed I will be very happy

I don't like giving bad reviews so I'm giving the Devs a chance here incase I've done something wrong. I opened this app and got as far as the key board layout screen. From there, the app keeps exiting so it would seem but is still running in the background. I have to delete it until this issue is fixed because it's unusable in its present state. However, I'll be keeping an eye on this app with the hope that the Devs have sorted out the issues and this awesome software can run on xperia devices. Thanks

It is great to be able to run those old programs. Now I have to go through some boxes in storage and transfer floppies. Lol. One thing that would be nice is if it would recognize the Bluetooth mouse I got working on my Nexus 7.

Works beautifully on Galaxy S. Been able to play the Commander Keen series, Duke Nukem I, Crystal Caves, Xargon, Jazz Jackrabbit and a few other of my favourite dos games. Sound effects often lag by a second or two (depending on the game), though they aren't distorted or anything so I guess its a configuration issue on my end. I've installed and attempted to run a few other Dos emulator apps, but this is by far the most functional.

Runs several things like a charm. I only have a few minor complaints: The virtual keyboard covers the screen. I agree with the portrait mode. A USB keyboard is nice and doable on my tab, but it isn't that great on the go. Portrait would be perfect for me as it would be 800x1280, and most DOS games are 800x600. I'd like a way to place my thumbs between the virtual buttons. So used to analog sticks. The "align mouse" isn't working in my Win3.1 install. GoT keeps crashing DB about a minute in. I'd absolutely love to be able to change the C:\ directory to something other than the SDCard directory. Other than the above, keep up the awesome work!

Doesn't work on Huawei Nexus 6P. This has been a very useful software with my old phone allowing me to run legacy DOS software that cannot be reverse engineered. I'm rating one star only because it doesn't work on my device. Please fix and I'd be happy to rate 5 star again.

I like being able to start windows 3.1 in dosbox, but the mouse is crappy, whenever you try to move the cursor or click something the cursor jumps far away from what you are aiming at.

Not sure if it's the ROM, lollipop, or the phone. I have an lg g3 with the latest (and sadly last) cloudy g3 rom installed. But I've seen the potential in videos, so it deserves some stars for sure. Especially since it's in its beta stage.

I am very pleased with this port of dosBox. But when I play Dangerous Dave on my Nexus S, it always crashes, and I think its because of the sound. I tried increasing the sound buffer but the results did not change.
