For the geeky aviation enthusiast to track and view planes flying in the local area as well as around the world using a radar style similar to the radar screens that Heathrow air traffic controllers use in the real world.
This App is a 'viewer' to any Virtual Radar Server you point at on the internet serving live flight data and it defaults initially to www.adsbexchange.com. It can be changed using the [Server] menu.
You can also filter plane data so that you will see only planes that fit a given filter criteria using the various flight parameters and variables available here: http://www.virtualradarserver.co.uk/Documentation/Formats/AircraftList.aspx
Built-in ADSB receiver/Dump1090 server listener functionality so with the correct hardware connected to your mobile device you can receive live plane data in your area directly from the air.
Real time GPS feature which allows users to leverage their GPS receiver on their device to provide real time speed, direction and altitude of their present movements.
Proximity Alert feature depending on distance and height away from aircraft to your current GPS position provides a visual and audible warning "traffic traffic".
Simple 3D View mode with yellow or white planes.

3D with VR - using an Android device that has the correct sensors (namely gyro, gravity and compass) you will be able to move your phone around in a full 360 degree circle in the real world and see where planes are positioned around you.

ADSB Flight Tracker Lite is one hundred percent accurate. I can customise the colours of my radar from land, sea, coastline, high alt, low alt, descending, climbing, airports centre lines, numbers, beacons, cities, places, foreground, background texts. Very easy to do I've paid for 3d version as well. I've had no problems what so ever. All I can say to ADSB Radar is to identify military aircraft more realistic like other apps do on there radars. makes it more easier to spot them on next updates
This app is amazing for finding private/military planes not on FR24, etc. I'd gladly pay for it if they ever release a manual. I'm a huge aviation nerd, pretty good with tech stuff. And yet I know I'm missing out on like 75% of the app because there's no guide. It's not intuitive and even just a vague overview of the various settings would help immensely. If you're charging for it, you should be able to tell people how to use it.
Great little app. Loaded with customizations and features. Theirs a small learning curve, but it doesn't take long at all to figure everything out. Overall: Awesome app, extremely useful.
Good app but even the "lite" version is getting larger with each update. Now almost 100mb installed, IIRC it was < 30mb when first released. Response to dev reply: Wasn't talking about the DOWNLOAD size. I was talking about the INSTALLED size, i.e how much space it takes on the phone when loaded and being used.

Absolutely outstanding. If you're done looking at the amateur cartoonish flight tracker apps, and want something which is less fluff and more technical details, download this app.

Really like the realistic radar screen look. Any chance of getting waypoints and intersections added to the map as well as the VORs and NDBs?
Great app, needs some time to get head round ...one point, does the app allow historic trails as I can't find any setting for this....
One of the best apps on my phone. A brilliant piece of work by the developer. Extremely useful and very comprehensive without being bloated.
Too expensive for what it is. Adsbexchange data is crowdsourced and available for free in the web viewer.
3 stars because there is a Time Limit you can use this for FREE then it's $0.99/month after that. This is done by VOLUNTEERS and not an actual Company. I understand asking for Donations, but it is rediculous to charge for something you are doing for FREE.
I'd love an option to switch to Google maps satellite view. As it is; this is a brilliant app.
It's a great app, but have to say I totally disagree with the subscription approach that has been adopted. Not cool!

I live near military installation and this allows me to see what is flying around the area.
It shows well in flight. it locks flights in landing speed before airport till it takes off again in chennai.

I see that latest version (9.0) has removed the one-off, £10 unlimited use purchase option. How disappointing. I thought that was worth having. 19/05/21. Now gets 4 stars after restoration of one off purchase option. Would get 5 if changing the screen heading wasn't such a pfaff. Requires two fingers to rotate the screen, which invariably alters the zoom level as well. Why not just click on the heading box & enter the number? Could default to 000 which would make the N button redundant.
