This app is good, but it is missing one important thing that English learners like me needed: how to pronounce the words, either with phonetic system or audio pronunciation. I paid for this app but is kind of regret it when I realized it doesn't have word pronunciation. If you can fix it, the dictionary will be perfect. Thank you.

Your daily trial is over🙃😂..i thought this app could be more than capable of educating me a wide range of vocabulary as a good tool...however i have mistakenly mistaken cuz after several days even the offline regime of it required to go for premium use of that and as soon as i neglect it the app itself closed down and i uninstalled it..cuz i just couldnt afford its price . Anyway it seems great app to use if some bugs are fixed as much as possible

Hello, I just downloaded the premium version as I found the ratings to be good, but I am not able to find the text to speech option in it. Kindly guide me to enable this feature as it is extremely helpful in pronouncing the words correctly.

One app extremely useful. It's helped me many times during my classes. Also, I always tell every single student of mine right on the first class to download this app because it will help them improve their vocabulary. I have been using it for many years now.

This a great app! Its handy and easy to use and works great offline! The thuersarous is a little tricky at first but pretty good too! I've had this app on my last 3 phones and it has always been a big help. And I customized it to show me a daily word and I enjoy because they often makes me aware of words I normally would not look for. Great app!

This app received great reviews in an article so I tried it. The features are great BUT once the trial period ended I couldn't get past the nag screen telling me I had to purchase it for $2.99. That price is not unreasonable however the method the developer is using IS!

Wont allow me to open the app unless they are allowed to have full access to my camera and all my phones files media and otherwise. Fix that and it could be usable. Would you let someone you dont know have full access to your pics, accounts info and the like? All to use the dictionary and Thes? Not allowed so 0 stars guys. Hope you get these thing's fixed and stop it.

I loved this app so much and have used it for 6 years now, but lately you either have to buy premium or you can't use the dictionary at all. Just give me the ads, the online only dictionary, and all of the other free only restrictions instead of kicking me out of the app when I try to use it for SCHOOL WORK. I may just use google if this keeps up

Why no mention that this app is for 3days trial only. I read whole description two times before deciding to download or not. This is a trial version. So i am much disappointed now. I wasted time in downloading. While using only i came to know this is just a trial version. ! Also app is not seen in "share with" list..

Intrusive ads with sound. Just woke up my gf after I wanted to follow up a word from the crappy "word of the day" (which is most often a plant genus). No IPA or any other pronunciation. Used to be faster and better a few years back, pity I don't have the old APK. So bad I'm uninstalling with no substitute.

I don't know what's wrong with this app now. Whenever I look up a word and open its meaning, a "Your trial is over. Pay this and get premium" pops up. When I try to go back, it closes the app. Idk if it's something wrong with my phone or what. This used to be my favourite dictionary you could find. Guess I gotta try new things now.

love this dictionary, also tells you whether it's a verb,noun,adjective, etc,etc & star your favorites for future referance. in addition to all that, as it stores your favorites by a star,after you find your word as you press on it the definition is always there to confirm that your using the word in the proper context.however, I wish that you could hear the pronunciations to the words as well , that would be big help especially if you were going to use it in a conversation

I’ve been using this app for several years off and on. When I leave this app and try other dictionaries and thesauruses I am always disappointed. This app has been a wonderful tool helping me to write with a broader vocabulary.

The dictionary is very useful except that all the games eg. Hangman, Word Scramble, Flash Cards and Anagrams are taken out. If they could be inserted. It helps in so many ways.

Used to be a great app, changed quite a bit, but has got worse over the years, but changing to a trial when you update it, is simply unacceptable, uninstalled. No longer recommend.

Thank God there exists better, more appropriate dictionaries! I have preferred tastes in dictionaries and believe dictionaries should be presented in certain ways to their audience. The app upon opening refers me to Word Net dictionary NOT ADVANCED ENGLISH DICTIONARY as I WOULD HAVE HOPED. And, last but not least, ALL OF THE WORD-OF-THE-DAY ENTRIES ARE, BASICALLY, NONSENSE GIBBERISH! However, I am permitted to look up another set of words. It is not a DICTIONARY of preferred tastes in linguistics.

When the OS display size is set to "small", The input field becomes too short that I can't even click on it to bring up the keyboard to search for the word needed.

Good, similar to the AED app on Windows Phone in the definitions but not enough, it lacks the phonetic and the prononciation. Wish you add this two perfect features.

I use this mostly because I'm not that great of a speller and I love that it is on my phone and I like if I'm trying to find a different word with the same meaning I have that option this is a Hugh help specially being disabled, thank you for making this app. Available it's a life save for people in my situation, I just wish I could up grade with out having to pay I often have to fill out important papers regarding my health and since I always have my phone it's always with me.

This used to be a good App which I had for about 6 years at the rate of one reference a quarter on various updated mobiles. I changed my mobile a month ago and was pleased to reinstall the App. 2 days' ago, I checked for a correct spelling, and, I received a notification from you today to pay $3.99 From now onwards, I decide to "Google" correct spelling, and will un-install this App. I will NEVER use this Apo, and will not recomnend the use.

its a good app. the four stars means theres still room for improvement. like for example, more practical examples on how to use words in everyday speech

This is a limited time trial. During the trial, you get many ads. After that, it requires money and do not work at all. Thats fine, if this was clear at the beginning, but they do not say it's a trial only.

I don't know what happened but am not enjoying the app like I used to on my Motorola G5 plus, android 8.1. The app used to draw icon over other apps when I select texts while typing. Now I don't see it, meaning I can't refer words or get corrected if I need to.

This app has no pronunciation function and comes with a 3 day free trial to add. In my opinion, it's no better than its completely free competitors...

I love this dictionary/thesaurus. It makes looking things up so convenient; I had no idea some dictionary apps don't allow you to do certain features. This is again my go-to dictionary now.

Thesaurus is missing! The app, and even the app icon, clearly state a thesaurus is included. I even paid for the upgraded premium app, but there is no thessurus.

They don't always have the word I'm looking for spelt correctly when ever I forget how to spell out the word. This is a VERY MEDIOCRE APP to have on hand!!!! I use it nearly every day and it ALMOST NEVER FAILS ME. If I were to purchase a dictionary I'M NOT SO SURE this is the one I would PURCHASE!!!!!

I got this app because i needed help with a word. Not only did it not give me the correct explanation, it was now telling me that i need to pay for the full version. It doesnt say anywhere that its a trial. Uninstalled!!!
