Advanced EX for FIAT

Monitor specific FIAT parameters in real-time, including engine and automatic transmission advanced sensor data by adding this plugin to Torque Pro.
Advanced EX is a plugin for Torque Pro, extending the PID/Sensor list with more than 20 specific parameters from FIAT vehicles, including:

* VVT Oil Temperature
* VVT Operation Mode (LIVO / Multi-Lift / EIVC / Full-Lift / Closed) (*)
* Injector Pulse Width
* Injector Duty Cycle
* Exhaust Gas Temperature
* Instant Fuel Flow
* Engine Torque
* Throttle Body Opening
* Knock Voltage Cyl 1~4
* Current Engine Speed
* Target Engine Speed
* Canister Charge
* Canister Duty Cycle
* Cruise Control Target (*)
* Current Gear (P / N / R / D1~D6) (*)
* Lambda Heater Duty
* ECU Odometer

Sensors marked with (*) are not available on all cars, as it depends on special engine/parts like Turbo and/or Automatic Transmission.

For cars with FIAT Multiair engine, the VVT Operation Mode is really cool to monitor during a long road trip or even while driving in the city. As described on FIAT Service Manuals, VVT Operation Mode is the actual valve operation mode and it changes depending on the road and your driving style.

*PLEASE NOTE
* that other FIAT models/engines may be supported, but the plugin was tested only on the following models/engines: (CAN BUS ONLY)

* 500 1.2 Fire 8V
* 500 1.4 MultiAir 16V
* 500 1.3 MultiJet 16V
* Bravo 1.4 T-Jet 16V
* Doblo 1.3 MultiJet 16V
* Giulietta 1.4 MultiAir 16V
* MiTo 1.2 Fire 8V
* MiTo 1.4 MultiAir 16V
* MiTo 1.3 MultiJet 16V
* Punto 1.2 Fire 8V
* Punto 1.4 Fire 8V
* Punto 1.4 MultiAir 16V
* Punto 1.4 T-Jet 16V
* Punto 1.3 MultiJet 16V
* Qubo 1.2 Fire 8V
* Qubo 1.3 MultiJet 16V
* Ypsilon 1.2 Fire 8V
* Ypsilon 1.3 MultiJet 16V

Advanced EX requires the latest version of Torque Pro installed in order to function. This is *NOT
* a standalone application and will *NOT
* work without Torque Pro.

Plugin Installation-------------------------

1) After purchasing the plugin on Google Play, make sure that you see the plugin listed on your Android device installed applications list.

2) Launch Torque Pro and click on the "Advanced EX" icon

3) Select the appropriate settings and return to Torque Pro main screen

4) Go to Torque Pro "Settings"

5) Make sure that you can see the plugin listed also on Torque Pro by clicking "Settings" > "Plugins"> "Installed Plugins".

6) Scroll down to "Manage extra PIDs/Sensors"

7) Usually this screen will not display any entries, unless you have added any pre-defined or custom PIDs in the past.

8) From the menu, choose "Add predefined set"

9) If your license is validated on Google Play you should see an entry for your engine. You may see predefined sets for other engine types, so make sure you pick the right one. If you don't see anything, probably you have an installation problem or validation error on Google Play. In this case, go back and repeat the installation procedure.

10) After clicking on the entry from the previous step, you should see several entries added to the Extra PIDs/Sensors list.

Note: Some sensors will be calculated real-time based on other sensors. Make sure that you keep all sensors added by the plugin to avoid calculation errors.

Adding Displays------------------------

1) After adding the additional sensors, go to the Realtime Information/Dashboard.

2) Press the menu key and then click on "Add Display"

3) Select the appropriate display type (Dial, Bar, Graph, Digital Display, etc)

4) Select the appropriate sensor from the list. Sensors provided by Advanced EX begins with "[FADV]" and should be listed right after the time sensors in the top of the list.

More features/parameters will be added in further releases. If you have comments and/or suggestions please just let me know.

I wish... really wish... they'd add the 1.4 turbo used in our 124 Spiders and some of the 500's. That would make this app really useful and worth what I paid for it. Right now it feels like I have a gift card for a clothing store that doesn't sell anything that's my size. Please folks... get this truly updated with a 1.4 litre turbo engine option. It's a seriously large and hlaring missing.

Doesn't support Fiat Abarth models and doesn't add very many PIDs or functionality for what it is. Didn't add any useful functionality for me.

I am really liking this add-on. Would recommend if you have a Fiat. One request, could we get access to the TPMS and display it in the app? Great work, thanks!

Works but has some PIDS that don't match the vehicle. 2012 Fiat 500 1 4L naturally aspirated HAS NO EGR VALVE so why the EGR DUTY PID? One thing that gave me trouble is FIAT LT APP: I had both FIAT LT AND EX INSTALLED, and LT interfered with the paid FIAT EX app. Had to uninstall LT for EX to work.

Did not work with Fiat 124 Spider 1.4l multi-air turbo engine. Did not deliver on promise of more PIDS or more features than the free LT version.

Rubbish. Can't even reset the service coupon

500 1.2 8v. Not even the basic pids like injector cycle and torque work so a bit of a waste. Save your money and get Fiat ECU scan

disappointingly incomplete and out of date

Hi, I use it for my 2014 Punto TwinAir and most of the parameters seems to work. Unfortunately the VVT modes are not correctly displayed. It mostly displays "OFF" and only in stationary it shows mode "EIVC " Maybe this can be solved in a future update?

Have a punto multiair and for some reason the vvt mode and loads of other stuff doesn't work

Add a functioning MPG calculation? Torque's inbuilt MPG formula is completely and wildly wrong for the Fiat 500.

Wonderful but very few models. Could you add Giulia and Stelvio soon?

Great app but I wish you can add Alfa Giulietta GQV 1750 please !

Bri. E. Jan 18, 2014

I took my Abarth in for service, told the service manager what was wrong, and he asked me how I knew that. Showed him the app...nuff said.

I compared measurements with measurements of the official Alfa Romeo tool. Oil Temperature are totaly inaccurate. You get appox 40C over the real temp with this app.

I have a MiTo 1.4 Multiair and the plugin works perfectly with my ECU. I hope to see more features in the future.

I have a 2012 500 Abarth. The app works perfectly. Keep up the good work.

Nexus 7 running Torque app on 2013 Fiat Abarth. Works perfectly adding a wealth of Fiat specific information, great plugin as is so it can only get better from here.

Sta. N. Apr 18, 2014

This app provides ton of valuable info about my Doblo 1.3 multijet 2011. Oil temperature, current gear, engine torque... are you sure you can know all without this tool?

The ecu odometer is not working on 2010 Fiat Bravo 1.6 multijet
