The app also provides an IOPS calculator to find the type of disk required to achieve the IOPS in the backend as well as a power requirement calculator to help in selecting the appropriate PSU for your setup.
It currently has an extensive database of HDD's but you can also add 1 custom disk with your own specs.

Good, but needs to not change the number of disks when selecting a different RAID type.
Good app. Maybe in future update (if any), able to save custom hdd to library.

Smart try, but it fails on calculate raid parity. For example in raid5 with every 8 disks in a raid one is used for parity. In a 10 disk configuration it will be 2 disk for parity, in 18 disks conf the parity will be from 3 disks and so on. The app consider only one disk for parity in all the above example.
Needs updated for VNX/VNX2 OS rather than older Clarion models. Custom disk option is a good feature.

Did not get, why there is no influence if i am changing block size, as for me if block size multiply by 2, then IO performance should be divided by 2.

It's a nice and handy app. I'd like to see the option of hdd failure tolerance per raid configure and ability to change byte option. E.g. GB to Tb etc.

Although I have only one machine currently capable of RAID structure, I've worked over 30yrs. in computers and this is one of THE BEST Well Thought Apps I've seen and used. Most of the other apps like this one are a JOKE ! ! and a waste of time. This is THE APP ! ! !
The app well made and good for instant raid calculations...a little information about all the raids would be helpful.

Doesn't support different size of HHD for one SHR. There should be a way to indicate the size of disk if u put 12 hdd with SHR
