Really great game, not a pay to play, no ads, no internet needed, interesting storie and good level for the games. The only problem is, sometimes you have to move something by touching the screen and it s not responding properly. Except that and the "fish boxe" game that is insane the games are hard but manageable with time and reflexion
I'm really enjoying these Adventure Escape games. However I only gave it three star bcause..... I have finished a level 6 times but again that same level is coming again and again. If you turn off the game in the middle of a level or if you turn off the game without finishing it completely, you have to solve everything from the beginning. I am unstalling it.
I am really enjoying these adventure escape games. However, I only gave it three stars because I struggle to get the game to do what I want it to. It can be a fight just to get the pieces in the screen to move. I don't want to wear out my screen on a game. If the interactions were improved I could score rate these higher. I would also like it if the mini games did require so much dragging as I can't see the pieces under my fingers half the time. Thanks for your hard work on these.
This game would be perfect if... 1. It could save where you leave off. It's SO annoying to get through 99% of it and need to check something else or have been trying to figure it out for a long time and need a break and your phone locks and you have to restart the chapter all over again. 2. The hints are horrible. They are either super vague or ridiculously obvious, I'm mad I had to spend stars to get that hint. 3. CONTROLS. They are frustrating beyond belief. PLEASE FIX, โค EVERYTHING ELSE
As usual the developer has done a very good job on the game. The graphics are good, the story is interesting and most of all the puzzles are all well thought out, easy to complete, but some are really challenging. The spindles puzzle is not quite comprehensible. Otherwise a very good game (Indie developer).๐๐๐
I love this maker's games but if you haven't played AE Mysteries (which is the menu to a whole load of these games) then I suggest you do that first. These older ones are still good but you can only play thrm when you're sure you've got the time to complete a whole chapter without other apps distracting you. I have replayed so many times because I switched to Facebook or whatever, clicked back to the game and it was reloading from the start of the level again. ๐ซ
This is not the hardest adventure escape by far. Also, it is infuriating when you have to do full level again simply because your phone ran out of battery just before you finished a level. It should have autosave after every puzzle like other AE games. Though I still enjoy it and am grateful for the efforts of the team.
Very imaginative puzzles in a story regarding investigating a temple and then needing to escape. Only problem I encountered was difficulty manuvering the components of the fuse puzzle. It was lovely hard to solve but very frustrating to select each desired piece and not another one when trying to move the bars. I could not solve all puzzles and figure out every next move without help, but that is not complaint, just not wanting to boast falsely.
Gave 5 stars, but came back to remove a star because of not being able to save progress within a level. If you have to stop in the middle of a level, you will have to start the whole level over again. Some of us don't have inordinate amounts of time to spend playing games in order to finish an entire level every time we play. The only solution to this is to skip the more time-consuming puzzles, which I don't like to do. I prefer to play all puzzles, but I need to be able to stop & resume levels
It seems that this game is the prequel of Dark Ruins, and I have finished Dark Ruins first instead ๐. So it's fair to say that Dark Ruins is better in many aspects compared to this one. The level of difficulty of the puzzles ranges from easy to medium. So many annoying ads and sadly if you exit the game before finishing a chapter, you need to repeat the said chapter the next time you play it.
Like the game, but not being able to continue where i left off before i finish a chapter is a deal breaker for me,, some puzzles are too hard even with a hint, so i checked the walk-through and when i go back to the game i have to start all over again, even the puzzles i already finished. Not interested in even finishing the game at this point.
Not far enough into the game to give a full critique, but the puzzles are good In the fact you have to work out how to solve them without the subtle hints you get in many games of this type. The actions, such as finding an object and it being placed in the inventory are unnecessarily slow. Forget the graphics and the typical story line, the puzzles are the game.
So far I'm really liking all of the escape/lock rooms from this developer. They are challenging, but not so hard you want to give up all the time. Sometimes walking away and clearing your head will help you find the answers. There are micro transactions available to buy hints at a reasonable rate if you're truly stuck. You get free stars for hints by finishing chapters or finding them in the game.
As always, it's a great game. A bit too easy though. The biggest issue I noticed (as did many others) is that it wont save your progress unless you finish the entire chapter. Also, it never tells you that you will lose progress if you shut the game down mid-chapter. Other than this, I thoroughly enjoyed the game.
I have played several Haiku games and really enjoy them but the experience was spoiled by not being able to save the game until the end of a chapter. This was particularly frustrating in chapter 7 when I repeatedly got part way through and had to leave the game, only to have to repeat the same puzzles each time before finally completing.
This game is a super fun adventure game that requires you to think. Some puzzles I think are a bit more difficult than they should be however you'll have more than enough hits to help you out if you get super stuck. I really enjoy all of the games from this company so I highly recommend if you're a thinker!! However make sure you completely finish a level before closing out because if not you'll have to start that ENTIRE level over. Yes that means solving hard puzzles that you already solved.
Brilliant games! I've played loads of AE mysteries and love them. They're challenging but logical and never too hard you get stuck or bored. You're able to get hints to help you out. I've also found there's not lots of repetition which is amazing considering the number of games, some puzzles follow similar rules (ie moving through a maze avoiding baddies) but there's lots of unique puzzles too. Good story lines but not too much story that it gets boring
To much solving puzzels for puzzles sake. I know, that's the point of the game, but they are better when you are trying to solve it because there is a known reason instead of finding that reason out afterwords. Also, helpful characters only really"assist" when it is already obvious. Worst part, when you can not use a stick but have to click randomly in shadows for tools. But, that being said, many of the puzzels were extremely good and forced you to think and solve and then think and solve some more. Great job. Wonder if riddle will ever make their way into these games?
This was my least favorite of these games. Some of the puzzles made no sense. Also, if you closed out in the middle of a puzzle, you'd have to start that level over when you returned, there was no saving progress within the individual level. They can't all be good I guess but I still love the other Haiku games!
Can't finish it since I'm unable to rotate the chips to fix the iPad. Like everyone else, I hate that it doesn't save your progress, and the hints are worthless, they just tell you the most basic, obvious thing. Like to fix the bridge I found 5 vines but only 4 boards. The hint is like "fix the bridge with the vines and boards." No kidding? ๐คฆ I like a lot of Haiku games but this one not so much.
I actually can't believe this game is free. It is excellent quality. There's plenty of content, an interesting storyline, and great graphics and controls. Sometimes the puzzles are a little overly challenging, but on the whole, this is a fun workout for the mind. This is the second game I've played by Haiku, and I hope they keep them coming!
Puzzles are not that hard but can sometimes be confusing. It would have taken me forever to finish this game without the walkthroughs available on youtube. But overall, very challenging and enjoyable. Amazing graphics, too.
Great game. Nice graphics. Easy play. Not to easy but not too hard either. Took a star away bc I don't think you can save within a "chapter/scene". So if you start a "scene" you HAVE to finish it or exit and start the "scene" over. I did one 4 times bc I was stuck on the puzzle & I'm a wife, a mother, just got a puppy...basically, I have a life. But it did save inbetween the "scenes" Overall, not a bad install ๐
Holy cow this was one of the most difficult ones that ive played from this developer. As always, story is nice but these are definitely more in depth and harder puzzles. Some complaints i have are that the controls arent sensitive/dont register all the way so i was beating my phone trying to get a tile to flip and had to completely skip over the last puzzle because it just wasnt registering my swipes. But all in all i love it. On to the next~
REALLY enjoyed the challenge of all the puzzles. Great job guys!! But two complaints/where was the logic behind the 'Cave doors puzzle' where supposedly the squiggles and archers below the animals where somehow numbers?? And the 2nd one I had trouble wrapping my head around where the organs matching to right animals?? Just didn't add up...too me, at least ;). But, had a great time with it! GG Dev team!! Ty for a great game!
This is the 4th game from these developers I've played. I left 4or5star reviews. Not that one. This game drove me crazy for the wrong reasons. Some games stop working. You have little games to solve which were not intuitive AT ALL. Solving them wasn't always the problem, it was understanding what the heck you are supposed to do. + the fact that it doesn't auto-save enough. You have long chapters with several riddles and no saving. If you stop, you have to start it all again if the app closed.
