the art and object puzzles are great as always, but the number puzzles/codes (of which there are a ton) are either extremely difficult or don't make any sense at all. Ah, the speed that the boat is going MUST be the same as the radio frequency to call the police! Of course! All the random number connections and math-based problems make this game not as fun as most of the other ones from Haiku.
This story line was probably my favorite. Being a former makeup artist, I enjoyed the makeup puzzles. The puzzles afterwards, were ok...I liked them alot for the first five chapters. I was able to save my stars* Later on, I was able to skip puzzles..So save your hints/stars!. I was able to save without leaving reviews..etc. There is probably about 4 puzzles a person might want to skip. The walk-through is helpful too.
I really wanted to give this game more stars, but chap 9 is soooo buggy, i can't even finish it! First, the boat got stuck going out to the ocean, and then when i restarted the level, the barriers won't even turn. And some of the puzzles seemed a little ridiculous. I did appreciate the ability to skip some puzzles if you'd already completed them and had to leave the game. Please fix chap 9 and will rate more stars.
Some extremely obscure puzzles in this game that can't be solved by rational thinking (e.g. working out the code to get into the house, where you have to multiply, add, subtract numbers, but nothing to suggest you have to do that) Things like this make the gameplay frustrating and disappointing. I really liked earlier Haiku games, but they're becoming too obscure now.
Very adventurous game it makes you think out of the box and is very good to help you to use your brain in difficult puzzles. There is also walkthroughs of each chapter available on YouTube that you can check out for help. It is with no ads and even if it comes it comes when another chapter is going to start that you can remove easily.
very fun, relaxing and great way to pass time. Some puzzles were challenging especially when the answer didnt make any sense to the clues given (wrong order or even just wrong numbers in general). Also one puzzle had no direction literally did random clicking and a ke th was revealed. otherwise great storyline and kept me coming back until I finished.
The story was definitely improved (the epilogue is a nice touch) and the illustrations are a wee bit sharper. The puzzles can be quite hard too. That's all good. Unfortunately many puzzles were quite unclear (the needed 0-star Hints to explain the puzzle's nature was unfortunately fewer) and some clues were simply illogical (due to how forced they were). I was finally forced to use my Stars. D:
It's a good game and good puzzles but sooooo frustrating to have to start over, the level if you leave it. Haven't always got time to complete but then have to go through it all again. At least you can skip the longer puzzles if you've already solved them, but if you leave it you have to start again. It is good though apart from that.
Beautiful graphics but one thing very uncomfortable for me - it is not able to save the game by quitting it. You must go through all previous steps till your last saving. And saving is only by the end of each stage. It is not right should be able to save by every exit
Had higher expectations from you guys. Some of these puzzles are just "what the what?". I love the series but all that counting this and multiplying that is ridiculous. I realized you might want to prolong the gameplay, but seriously, why ruin the thing just for the sake of it? Awesome storyline though, great puzzles in there. Don't overdo it
I love this game. I'm pretty good with plot twists and things like that, but this game's story took me down a rabbit hole I absolutely didn't see coming. It was really fun to play and I'd call it an intermediate difficulty. The character element was less present compared to other games, but the plot took the front seat and I enjoyed puzzling it out!
Puzzles are decent but if you leave the game and come back you start from the beginning. It's frustrating that you can't leave and come back. It's also slightly odd there is no intro screen. I play a lot of games like this so it's nice to know the name of the game when you are in it. You can't tell what game this is unless you go to the app store. The icon name is too truncated.
Somehow i'm still missing 1 achievement and despite redoing the whole game twice, i still don't have it I like that i can skip puzzle for free after doing it, but would still prefer if i can resume last saved if i had to go out from the game before finishing a chapter It have some ads now and quite long and can't be skipped so point down some puzzle is really no clues you have to use hints
Extremely disappointing. So many glitches in chapter 9. Also the permissions it requests are incredibly intrusive and quite frankly suspicious. Turn off all permissions if you have the option and play offline. You never know what it's doing in the background
I like the concept of searching for a missing/kidnapped famous person. But I gave up after Chapter 3 because I kept finding puzzles w/ unclear instructions (lipstick puzzle, riddle about a door code, and esp. the one that required watching the yoga class through the window). Too bad because it seemed like a promising storyline. Think I'll watch movies like this instead.
Nice game. A few puzzles were a bit confusing but overall enjoyed playing and liked how the storyline drew attention to the plight of animals taken for wildlife trade. Also really appreciate you can play the whole game without paying or waiting for coins, stars etc and the ads are few and not at all intrusive.
I love haiku games, I have played all the games series from haiku and it's amazing but I noticed a few annoying things in this game. First, whenever I used the hints, it's totally useless and the clues doesn't even make sense, for example, that GPS things, , , I get it if you wants us to pay for the star to reveal more of a hints, that's okay. Second, please please provide some guide of what to do next, sometimes Kate lines will show what to do next but the other times, it doesn't show at all,
The only issue is that it doesn't save your progress so if you leave game without completing an entire chapter, the next time you play you'll have to start the puzzles you'd have solved all over again! Which can be a pain...
Overall its an great game. I was wondering how to get the last achievement. I could not get the Detective Work trophy even though I completed the whole game. Any particular way to get this trophy? Please help. I searched the achievement forum and found nobody is able to get this trophy. Is it clitch?
The puzzles are really hard and everytime I close the app I have to start the level over, meaning completing the puzzle all over again. Uninstalling. This game has potential but it's more frustrating than fun for me at this point.
The game was good until I to the circuit board puzzle and when i did it was easy but nothing was happeninng so I used the hints-still didnt work so i watched a youtube playthrough tutorial and did the exact same thing this person did but nothing was happening. So in the end i couldnt get past it. I do not reccomend getting this game because its fun but if there are forms of glitches like these you will become quite unsatisfied
out of all the ones I played this is my least favorite. a lot of the clues and the answers made no sense, some puzzles didn't even have any clues on how to solve them, and some clues have no connection with their answer whatsoever .... a lot of random guessing with this one. not to mention how it doesn't save your progress at all. if you're new to these games don't start with this one cause it'll just make you dislike the whole games which are amazing ....
I enjoyed the narrative and the puzzles. The only irritant was when I temporarily needed to switch to another app during a game. So many times the chapter restarted so that actions had to be repeated. Granted, some puzzles allowed me to skip, but not all. Maybe this has been fixed in some of your other games, but a handful of others (Xmas, Framed) do the same. This aside, it was a fun game.
