Make no mistake from the 3-star review; I honestly love these games. I love puzzles that make me think and these definitely require you to use your brain, but some of these puzzles are convoluted and give you almost no way to figure them out on your own. In-game hints like to make absolutely no sense and then the optional hints eat up your stars only to give you SET hints on how to progress forward instead of a hint to get you from point C to point D. That feels cheap to me. However, those things I can deal with. Then there are the glitches. Sometimes you can't perform an action or set of actions that the game requires you to perform in order to move forward. Objects render unresponsive at random no matter how many times you tap or how thoroughly you tapped them. You wind up needing to restart the game in order to fix it, which starts you at the beginning of the level you were on. Then go back to the gameplay flaws I previously mentioned and you have a cheap, half baked mess of a game. The game can be incredibly tedious, but it's worth a good try for anyone who enjoys difficult puzzles. Regardless of these flaws, I still enjoyed my play through of it. Like I said, good game, beautiful art, interesting enough story and dialogue, but could use a little polishing.

Started with game telling me that my device may be too new to run game (what a refreshing change!) However I have had no difficulty so don't be discouraged if you get the same and don't let it influence your permissions. Having played some of the newer AE games this one seems a little clumsy and the graphics are not quite on point but so far it's been good. The puzzles have been worth doing and the content is appealing.

Very good game with some challenging logic puzzles. Some of the puzzles are easier to solve, but figuring out how they actually "work" can be challenging. There might be a glitch on the level with the parrot. After I looked at the "clue", the seemed to freeze. I had to close the game, then restart it without opening the clue again, and I was able to finish the puzzle. I hope you come out with more levels to this game.

The gameplay is amazing and the storyline is breathtaking. The graphics of the game is beautiful and the mini games are just as good as the gameplay itself. I just wish that I don't have to stop playing this game. I can also get stars for hints while playing mini games and I don't really have to worry about finding one, only need to limit from using it. Outstanding game #perfectForpuzzleAdventureSeekers. I like the characters too so far.

Another great game by Haiku Games, I loved the storyline, an awesome plot with many twists. The characters are interesting too. I can give 10/10 to the graphics and the dialog boxes are not irritating. An excellent feature in this game is that it is replayable, starting from any chapter you have completed. The puzzles are not too hard or too easy, exactly how I like them to be. It took me an average amount of time to complete. The game is also easy to handle.

I love all the AE games, but this one has an issue. After doing a puzzle in ch. 3, I'm supposed to input some sort of password on a door, but the password screen won't open. I force closed it and restarted the chapter, but got stuck at the same spot again. Nothing I tap works. I checked a video tutorial to make sure I wasn't missing something, and I'm doing everything right. EDIT: I bypassed the problem by putting in the password before doing the puzzle, and before the screen could freeze up.

Beautiful story concept, easy gameplay (you can finish in one day), great artwork. Main character is cool, secondary character #annoying #nogrowth. Light spoilers. There were two exciting, amazing aspects that could and should have been explored more: each chapter being inspired by a real book, and time travel. But it was rushed to a conclusion and the potential for a movie-quality journey never met.. My hope is that it can be rebooted and characters and story more rounded.

fun, but appears to be a bit buggy. unfortunately I couldn't complete the game, at the Aztec gears puzzle the "rope" never appeared or perhaps I was doing it wrong but I used every star I had on skipping the puzzle but they required multiple skips and that was more stars than are in the game at that point. the story was a little weird too, and the characters not the greatest. Has potential.

I really enjoyed this game. Clues were findable and understandable. 2 things need work: 1. Save level progress (like in the Allied Spies game) so you don't have to restart the level if you need to leave in the middle. 2. There is a glitch in the Blackbeard level. After doing the stack challenge behind the picture the scene freezes. You can collect hint stars and go to settings but you can't access the next challenge (the circles with colors to exit the room).

Finally found what I was looking for! I have waded through mounds of match 3 and HOP games to find a game on mobile that you can play through puzzles that aren't repetitive or have time limits for energy to play. This is the first game of Haiku's that I have played and found the graphics excellent, the storyline interesting, and the puzzles simple but good. Didn't need to use any stars to finish the game and was done in about 2 hours. Not uninstalling as I'll play it again!

I am enjoying this game, but not very far. I never was able to pour 2, 2, and 3 oz. Each time I poured the entire amount poured. After a dozen or so attempts, I decided to try the hint, but accidentally touched the skip button. I still don't know what I was doing wrong. The most frustrating part is I gave up at the same place multiple times. I always had to start over it won't pause where I stopped. Help. Did not get 5 stars for review.

Love all the games in this series. The puzzles actually make you have to think!! HOWEVER The HITS APPEAR TO HAVE A BUG. The deeper into the game i got the more out of sync the hits got to the actual puzzles. For instance In the both the two consecutive numbers and coloured gears puzzles, the hint told me to pick up a plank! Also I found that the hint skip and back buttons were too close and accidentally wasted points by hitting the skip on several occasions. Other than that I LOVE THE GAMES

I love Haiku games! Fun, great puzzles , no loading issues... Terrific! The character conversations are kinda lame, but at least you can click through them. I am a natural speed reader ( over 2500 wpm in junior high - it was a " required course". I took the final test the second day.😂), and it is annoying when I can't hurry up the narrative/ conversations, so I like this feature. Some of the number puzzles are weird- remember gas pump last time? After an hour or 2, I use a 'crib', sorry! 😱😂

I love these types of games and the AE series. I just started this puzzle. So far the mechanics of the zooming in places are weird after playing AE mysteries and other AE games, but I like that I don't have to wait Hours for keys to keep paying for however long I want to play. I don't like the pushing of connecting to fb and share to fb when you complete a chapter.

The puzzle, the graphic, both were as good as one would expect from Haiku Games. I don't like Hiro though. His character was cringey. And the ending was too short and simple for a time travel game. And I also found a glitch in Aztec level. Even after finishing the puzzle on the wall you can still "use" the Skip button by tapping around the top center, consuming your stars uselessly. Doesn't really matter because you can stack stars by simply replaying any previous levels.

Just started this game; so far, so...a little confusing. Graphics are good, storyline is just getting going so I can't really tell you if that's going to be great or just confusing at this point. The potion making took a bit to figure out, but it can be done if you just keep at it. So now I've got a Time Crystal and I'm looking forward to seeing where in Time I'll go. I'll come back and update this after some more game time.

I had issues with the controls. In order to tao on something, I had to tap slightly to the left of it, which meant I could not tap those infuriatingly tiny and obvious hint stars, particularly the ones in Chapter Two. Otherwise the game was very enjoinable. Interesting story, characters, and intriguing puzzles

Ren. C. Nov 29, 2020

Started off well but began glitching and freezing by 3rd level... constantly had to shut down and open back up...had to redo the levels because it froze before it saved progress, mini games froze, or couldn't pick up items or get stars when tapped sparkles even though game acted fine otherwise (when it wasn't freezing). *Samsung Gakaxy Note, not an old device* what a Bummer...looks like I'll hafta uninstall. Booooo.

Fun, adventurous game with workable puzzles. I had trouble with the moon phases puzzle, even knowing how the moons looked, so I had to use hints. I was frustrated because I couldn't get the star under the floor in the rum room, no matter how and where I clicked, but other than that, it's been great.

Car. H. May 25, 2022

I love these games. I think this is one of the older ones, because the newer games you can click on anything and it will say something. Even just "oh that's so pretty", to let you know it's responding. This one only responds to the two or 3 things you'll interact with. But the puzzles are just as amazing as all the other games

This was a fun storyline with an interesting tie together ending. This is one of the shorter storylines of the Haiku games that I have played but it is great for a lazy afternoon. Being that it only saves at the end of every chapter makes it great for those that have only a short smoke break to kill as well cuz you can pretty much complete a chapter in that time. And as always with the Haiku games the graphics are impeccable. Thanks again Haiku, keep them coming!

Really is a 3-star game, but +1 for no ads (unless you want to watch them for in-game hint coins vs. walkthrough find by Google). The controls are ok, but sometimes wonky. The story is ok, but sometimes stretched thin. The puzzles are ok, but sometimes too easy or too obscure.
