Adventure German

After reading all of the negative reviews, I still decided to download the app and give it a try. I got as far as the Museum, and then realised that the inventory items don't show. Such a pity. If you have some way of fixing this issue, let me know, I would love to play further.

Also have the same glitch with the kiosk lady where I'm supposed to firm a sentence but the game is stuck. Disappointing 😔

Glitch no longer appears, it seems to have been fixed?

I tried launching this app for the first time. The game data download was completed without problem, but after relaunching the app, the splash screen appeared and the app silently closed itself. If anyone faced the same problem, do this: 1. allow screen auto rotation, 2. put the tablet in landscape mode 3. launch the game. I hope that the app developer would fix this trivial problem soon. Thanks for the nice app. The contents is too difficult for a complete beginner as it was made for A2 level.

The program itself is great! Only issue is it is slow to respond to input. It also locks up at times, but bringing up the home screen and going back to the game fixes that. One of the best German learning programs available on android. You do need a basic understanding of the language before trying to play.

Unfortunately, the app doesn't run. First it successfully downloaded resources, then just closed. I tried a workaround someone posted here: changed the screen orientation to landscape. It didn't help much. Now app asks about the language of help and then closes. Anyway, thank you Göte Institut for all these free courses, apps, podcasts! Learning German is such a pleasure because of you.

I tried multiple times to install but as soon as it finishes downloading app data, it stops working and I am unable to re open app. Seem like an excellent app when it works (on my wife's device only though)

I really do like this app. It is like watching a movie you can interact with. I wouldn't recommend it to new learners simply because some of the vocabulary is a little tough even for intermediate students but it is a great trainer tool.

I run the programme and it takes ages to load then the screen goes blank. Please fix that I really want to study it.

I have studied German for 4 years in school and could barely understand a thing. You shouldn't expect wonders, they don't come without core work, but the app over all is great

Stock Nexus 5, app installs, requests to download game data then crashes on startup. Starts if the phone is in landscape mode when the app is started

Cool app. Only 2 issues, the phone needs to be in landscape mode to be able to run the app and drains my battery ¬¬

I would love to learn German and use this wonderful game. The file gets download to my mobile and then it ask to downland extra files but unfortunately, It says download failed.. I badly want this app:) Please help

Galaxy S5. The app does not work at all. After download data it closes. It has never opened even if I tried few times.

I am very disappointed that the app doesn't work on my nexus 5. But happy that could get the web version working in IE!

Unfortunately the game never seems to download it's a set so I can't get past launching it.

Once you stop, the game has to be reinstalled again and you start all over again. Tiring.

Short, fun game. It ran perfectly on my old Samsung Galaxy Tab 4. Suitable for people with basic conversational knowledge of German. Hints are available in English.

Worked once and that's it! Didn't get to far in the game so I don't know how good it is. I liked what I saw the first few clues.

Why is the Game data not downloaded when i download this from the app store? I try to download the game data but it is horribly slow. Also if i try to simply sleep my phone while i download it so i dont run out the battery, it restarts the download :/ is this a problem with anyone else and how long does it normaly take?

Takes long to download an additional file, when the download is completed, it crashes. Happened on HTC m9, Galaxy S4 mini & iPhone 4S

Not recommended for A1 because you may feel it's too difficult. But if you're at A2 level, you can actually learn much from this app.
