■STORY Enshrined atop Mt. Illusia, high above the lofty clouds, stands the Tree of Mana. Drawing its life energy from the boundless celestial aether, the sentinel grows in silence. Legend holds that he who lays his hands upon its trunk will be granted power eternal―a power the Dark Lord of Glaive now seeks to further fuel his bloody quest for domination.
Our unlikely hero is one of countless gladiators indentured to the Duchy of Glaive. Each day, he and his ill-fated companions are dragged from their cells and bade to fight exotic beasts for the amusement of the Dark Lord. If victorious, they are thrown back into the dungeons with just enough bread to tide them over until their next match. But a body can only take so much, and it is never long before the weary captives succumb to their cruel fates.
■SYSTEMAdventures of Mana's battle system grants you the freedom to move about the playing field without restriction, allowing for thrilling combat in which you decide when to attack and how to evade.
・ControlsPlayer movement is achieved via a virtual joystick accessible anywhere on the screen. An auto-adjust feature has also been added so that even if your thumb strays from its original position, you will never lose control of the hero.
・WeaponsWeapons are divided into six unique categories, some with uses beyond merely dealing damage. Determining when and where to equip each kind will prove the key to success on your quest.
・MagicFrom restoring lost HP or removing various ailments, to rendering foes incapacitated or dealing deadly blows, there are eight different spells for almost any occasion.
・ObstaclesBloodthirsty enemies are not the only things standing in the way of completing your quest. You will need both tools and your wits to overcome the many challenges encountered in the world of Mana, ranging from locked doors to hidden rooms to traps growing progressively more complex as the game progresses.

Almost 1:1 remake of the original gameboy. It's is a lot easier since you are no longer constrained to four directions, and now the spells have some auto targeting, but apart from the 3d face-lift, this will strike you as the exact game you remember. Oh, that also means your npc partners and enemy mobs are just as stupid as they were before. Also, make sure to pack plenty of mattocks and keys, so you don't get stuck... thankfully, I remembered that from when I was a kid.
Great controls. Was worried at first that touchscreen would be horrible but they did a great job this time. Fun game. Great graphics too. Much better than the old Gameboy version!
Great app. Really similar to the story and basic setup of the original Gameboy game. New graphics make It look axing, and the remade soundtrack is great. Also like how the option to change the games music to be the originals. Yes it is basic, and fairly short. But is definitely worth the money if your looking for a good jrpg.
Absolutely fantastic remake. I loved the original on Game Boy back in the 90s and this remake does not disappoint. This is actually one of the best RPGs you can get on Android. I see a lot of people complaining about the controls, but I don't have an issue with them. They definitely aren't perfect but the game is very playable and the controls are good enough to enjoy the game. Right away I noticed the beautiful graphics and high FPS. EDIT: JOSHUA MCKEEVER IS A MORON.
This app is obviously developed by Skilled Programmers. No performance issues, consistent frame rates and bug fixes on updates. There are less than 1mb of user data generated by this app even though my save data was like lvl 57. It can even run on Redmi 9A and possibly on some old non-flagship phones. The gameplay is very similar to Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap and Some parts of Evoland 2 combined.
This is a remake of a very old Gameboy game called Final Fantasy adventure. I'm only a few hours in and despite the fresh coat of paint the game is spot on and follows the original very closely. I'd give it 5 stars but for the glitches... also you can get stuck without keys or matoks so keep a big stock on you before hitting a dungeon
A very good—albeit simple—game. The music is great, but things like the minimal story, the uninspired enemies, and the barebones combat feel too "retro" for their own good. It is also a really easy game, so you won't get a challenge from AoM, but you will get a fun game that will provide you with a nice, classic ARPG experience.
Ran flawlessly from start to finish. Quicksave (auto) made it too easy. It looks great, sounds great, controls pretty well. You can use the strategy guides for the original game boy version.
the game would have gotten a 5 star but there is one part if you run out of keys you are stuck and you cant proceed. the part before you go up the waterfall. it is recomanded that you put a shopkepper there (developers) or take always 20 keys with you else you will realise the issue. the monsters there dont drop keys as well
Feels like a game you have to have experienced at a very young age to enjoy. Very bare bones and simplistic. Minimal dialog and story. The targeting and movement system feel clunky. Definitely feels overpriced for what it is. I'd avoid purchasing this if you didn't play it back in the day. Doesn't hold a candle to modern games.
Fun game but WAY TOO EASY! I hope square will add an option for harder game-play; for example double enemy stats or something.... Apart from not posing any difficulty it is a nice game and has a good story to it. Good controlls and easy to learn how to play.
Can get past the Flayer boss because the game keeps crashing. At first I thought it was my phone, so I tried my tablet, and 2 other phones and it still crashes at the same spot. I feel ripped off
Played a huge chunk of the game. Went in to a dungen and when i got out my chocobo had spawn on a other island... No way of getting it back.. Looked up and this is a common bug. you need to restart the entire game to continue. Game is great tho
Has not been updated since June 2016. Many bugs which have not been addressed. It appears game has been abandoned by developer with no intention to fix the long list of bugs reported in the reviews. 4.5 hours into the game it is now unplayable. I read the reviews but bought it anyway. Disappointed in Square Enix which has a great reputation but abandoned this game two and a half years ago.
game keeps randomly freezing and crashes. lost my save file multiple times in the past. the game was better on gameboy. Would not advise purchase due to lack of updates.
The first time i loaded up the game, my character was t-posing and the first on-screen enemy was spinning in a circle. Didn't exactly inspire confidence to keep playing it past the refund timer.
With the last update (which took for whatever good reason two full years!) game is running flawlessly now! Wonderful gem as a game and a great throwback to simpler times, with SEs usual chibi design! Love it and I am so thankfull to finally ve able to continue and bring the game to an end!
I enjoyed playing the game for about an hour until i exited for a while and when i opened it again from google play games it said "Error Download failed because you may not have purchased this app" even though i already did and have the receipt, otherwise how can i played it before? Please help me with this, i really want to play again. I already reinstalled and restarted my phone several times too
Remake of the old school Gameboy "Final Fantasy: Adventure". Really well done, loved experiencing it again with improved graphics and the incredible soundtrack ♡
Brought back some wonderful childhood memories with visually stunning updated graphics given the style of game.
i bought this game originaly brand new for the Gameboy when it was called Final Fantasy Adventure and its remake Sword of mana for tge GBA which I admit I didnt like as much as the original. But this version seems to be closer to FFA. Im enjoying it a lot. I feel like I'm 15 again playing this game.
Unintuitive game with poor controls. Not fun to play since there's no explanation of what to do in the game. Need a walkthrough to progress. Very disappointed.
The game crashes at the Davias boss fight, and it's a glitch people have been hitting for years. Seems lots of people are having this issue.
Having played Final Fantasy Adventure recently, it was a joy to get to experience that game with the updates. The original was excellent, and this remake fixes the minor problems and enhances things to make a good game great. I highly recommend this game to any who are interested in RPGs or who want to see how the Mana series began with an updated, modern format.
