Well, I am not going to knock the camera, as this review is about the app. If you just want to be able to use your phone to snap pictures or film video, then this app does work for those 2 things. But you will NOT be able to download to your phone. It does lag somewhat, and crashes often. By the reviews, you would think that they would try to improve it. But since they sell a remote for it, I wouldn't count on it.
This is the worse app that you can ever have on your mobile. The camera might be the best in the world, but with this application you will hate the camera and hate the minute you got excited to get one. I choose the AEE camera as an alternative to GoPro, in terms of photography I made the right choice, but in terms of usability on your mobile this application is the best reason to pay more for a GoPro. This application makes your camera worthless. If you are planning to buy an AEE camera, consider the application review just as much as the camera reviews. My mistake is that I only focused on the camera and not the application which is a major part of the experience...again. this is the worse application you will ever download on your mobile, internet connection problems, downloading from the camera to your mobile will take you to the worse experience in your life, you can not download multiple photos at the same time, so if you took 50 photos in one day, you will have to make the download 50 times....
Not only is this app terrible so is aee. I needed a part for my ap11 and i had to download and app to fill out my credit info then either take a picture or call them. What a joke. Will be selling my drone and camera and never doing business with them again
The camera works great, photos and video are amazing, the application has to be the worst I've ever used. Does not connect to Android 7.0 or 7.1 at all! I have a few older devices laying around that run an older version of Android that may work. Bottom line, if you have this camera plan on using a pc to get your stuff off or view it.
I had problem with connecting the app with my phone cause i forgot my password...may i know how to reset the password and get connected
Wifi keeps dropping, camera is way too complicated and doesn't work with other apps. Bought today, will be selling and buying a gopro tomorrow.
Were I able to open it. It opened once and then never more. The only way to use it is to uninstall and reinstall. Total crap. Buy a GoPro: pricier but at least the app rocks.
The worst app on my phone. The app never works on my android and iPhone. The app is the reason why i will sell the camera
The app is not really usable. It worked one time to connect to my action cam and download some of the pictures and videos. During the download the app crashed and now I cannot connect to the cam anymore. Each time I try to open the my album content I see a turning wheel and then the app crashes with a Java language exception.
It would be nice if it could save files to the external memory of the mobile. and keep photos and videos in different folders, not in the same folder together.
It crashes alot and hangs all the time as soon as you launch it. AEE do something about it! It's a dissapointment.
It stops. Backlog image from the camera in the phone comes almost up to 5 seconds or more. Losing connection with the camera, or hang - on "hurray!" But it is very handy when working.
Had to have factory camera password to access wifi, then works good.
The WiFi is very leggy and slow the whole app is a joke
Nexus 6P on Android 7 won't connect via WiFi. I did get it to connect using my Nexus 7, but video never comes up. This looks like an internal alpha build.

Honestly,u gotta stop writing aee is a powerful app. We have this tv from 25 years ago and the remote control works better than ur WiFi.
Dear all, Im not able to connect my aee cam sd21w using the app.The wifi doesnt chose anything.I tried it on different device im not seing the sd21 in the wifi. Regards,
Really bad app's not working when record video and wifi is so bad. 😔 please update and repair
Horrible app, doesn't work at all. Also the design is absolute amateur level.
This app connects from my LG 3G G3 to my S60. Yes it is a bit laggy over the wifi but useable. The description says you can use it for editing, but I can see any editing options. i was able to control my camera from my phone when the lens was just under the surface of the water - the wifi signal doesn't work when the camera is fully submerged - there's an idea for a new accessory a floating wifi antenna! I've just ordered some brackets so I can have my camera attached to my kids bike and take pictures while chasing him on my bike through this app, hope it works!
