Got our new treadmill today and downloaded the app and followed the instructions about connecting. Even after connecting the app literally does nothing. It doesn't function. It comes up on the screen and gives you the choices for history or hill climb or a bunch of other programs but you can't hit any of those buttons and it does nothing to the treadmill like I think it's supposed to.
We own the AFG 5.7AT. At the get-go we had no problems connecting to the app. Pluses: Clean GUI, easy to use, reasonable app size, additional programs/functions not available on treadmill. Minuses: Connectivity is temperamental (reinstall of s/w helped), doesn't save or give you the option to save your workouts locally (history is only last workout so can't view progress, which to me is a bummer), needs a tablet (versus phone)...which uses lots of real estate space on the console.
The app says that it is out of date, and that if I deny it the opportunity to snoop through my documents and photos that it may not work. Which is what happens. This was an expensive treadmill. A part of the reason that we chose this one was that it could bluetooth to our devices for extra functionality. It wasn't clear in the ads that we also needed to give up personal data in order to use it. Very poor
This app does not work. I cannot set up the user. I keep getting an error on my iPad saying connect to Bluetooth which it is connected. On my Android phone you can't scroll so I still cannot setup the users either. This app is useless and needs to be updated in order for your customers to use.
Very poorly designed app! The content doesn't fit on the screen, and you can't scroll. The app is also extremely limited in it's ability to send info back/forth with the treadmill. It's a shame, because this should be a straightforward, powerful addition to a really solid treadmill!
Such a useless app. I wished I never bought horizon treadmill so i don't have to deal with this. I bought the horizon t202 in 2020 a d have been trying to use this app to program my exercises but it never worked. It uses a default age,and weight to calculate calories burned etc., which was all wrong. I tried to enter my age and height but it won't allow. I guess I just have to sell it and buy a new one.
This app is a joke or lame trolling. Doesn't work at all. My tablet supports all requirements, BT 4..etc. I can confirm that the app connects to my new Horizon 7.0 AT treadmill as the treadmill UI becomes un-responsive. The app looks like it should work, up until the point when it needs to start the treadmill and then nothing.. Simply does not work.
It's really sad that 1-star reviews with legitimate criticism are over 3 years old at this point and all of the mentioned problems are still present. They clearly have no intention of fixing any of it. Whatever. The app isn't necessary for the treadmill to work. Using the onboard controls is perfectly fine. The app is pointless. Every single review that isn't 1-star is clearly paid reviews or just simply faked by the app designers themselves.
Works great!! Nice addition to my workout with Horizon treadmill T202. I've had no problems using my octa core, 3g, Bluetooth 5, Android 10 tablet. Has graph display and keeps lots of stats for each workout and history. Can adjust speed and incline on the fly but would be nice if you could change time too; if once you get started you feel like doing more of less. I don't get the complaints!! I see the entire app screen not even close to missing anything.
The app has a ton of 1 star reviews but it isn't that bad. It could use a massive overhaul but it works just fine from my kindle fire. the only reason I'm only giving 3 stars is because it doesn't sync with google fit.
I just purchased new treadmill bought the 202 instead of the 101 because it had the fitness app. The app doesn't exist for new iPhones. So I tried my tablet the app installs. But doesn't pair to treadmill. Tries and nothing then it locks on a screen that says afg and freezes. I have to Uninstall to get back to try to pair. App is useless wasted an extra 100 bucks I could have saved and got the cheaper model. I called customer service got disconnected when I called back says they are clos
The screen isn't even entirely visible. Stuck in horizontal mode. I got the t202 because it had app integration. This doesn't seem to be getting any updates while the new TYPE of treadmill is getting all the love. Update the app and we'll be happy!!
This app is abysmal at best. It must have been created before phones rotated the screen. A significant portion of the app features are not visible when using it. You would think that whoever is responsible for creating this abomination would feel a sense of shame and embarrassment, yet they somehow still let that app exist in a space where you can download it. I am not quite sure I am able to adequately describe why you do not need this app in your life. AFG needs to get it together.
No way to setup users. Dont show full screen. Horrible the pro version used to work with my treadmill and then they updated it and it no longer works. You would think as much money as they charge for the treadmill you would get an app that works. The less expensive treadmill have better functionality then this.
App is prehistoric and does not work on android at all. Absolutely zero directions on how to connect bluetooth or set up users specs. Very dissapointed at the false advertisement of what I thought I was going to be getting with this product.
Connects immediately to my Horizon 7.0At but then doesn't actually do anything. Can't change users on the treadmill, can't start a workout. Treadmill says it's connected and locks out the controls so it's definitely connected.
Just purchased a treadmill and the app it's connected to (this one) doesn't work. Hasn't been updated in years. So, can't use the treadmill's full features. Extremely disappointing. Uninstalling.
Worthless. Bought a Horizon Fitness 7.0 AT treadmill. App won't connect to treadmill via tablet. Will connect via phone, but app doesn't do anything. Supposed to be able to control treadmill via app, but no matter what I choose in app (via the phone that does connect) it won't control the treadmill. Very disappointed.
Resize app interface to work on mobile. Works on my samsung s7 but cannot get to most screen options. Yes, I know the app is meant for tablets, but phones and tablets are essentially interchangeable now.
If you advertise a fitness app as a part of a treadmill purchase, maybe take a tiny bit of effort to update the app? This is a joke. Made for older devices, not updated at all, barely usable because half the UI is off the screen.
Something is not right with this Application connecting,message prompts Android has a screen prompt when pressing START on tablet,saying PLEASE CONNECT YOUR DEVICE and BT is lit on TM but goes out.No indicator saying GOOD TO GO
Worst app ever I downloaded this app to connect to my new treadmill. It will only connect to the bluetooth speakers but not the treadmill itself. Cannot personalize the app to work with the treadmill. Does not advance beyond Start. Useless!
Horrible app The app kind of works with my phone. Won't work at all with my chromebook. It shuts off the treadmill randomly I assume because it lost a connection.
Trash trash trash trash. Like my new 7.0 AT treadmill but this app is worse than taking a picture of a control panel you drew yourself and trying to make that work to control your machine... don't waste your bandwidth... even if you have unlimited... TRASH
I downloaded the app and the user interface extends off screen so you can't access half of the features. It even gives a warning that the app was "designed for use older devices and may not work properly." Then fix it! So many bad reviews... it's 2022. What kind of company doesn't update their apps? Really disappointing.
