The customer service was awesome! I had a little difficulty submitting my claims on the mobile app but it was nothing on American Fidelity's part that caused that , it was all my fault because I'm not very good at technology
I can't upload any receipts anymore!! Called customer service and lady said just go to a PC and do it online. Now I'm online, trying to upload my receipts and it keeps saying "failed" every time! So frustrating! I've uninstalled the app and reinstalled numerous times and still same errors every time!! Fix this damn app!!!
Get the app they said, it makes everything so much easier! Maybe it would if it actually worked right! I've deleted and reinstalled this app more times than I can count and it never works right. It constantly freezes up on me! It doesn't recognize my information most of the time. It is a complete headache and waste of time. I'm beyond frustrated with it!
Works great so far. Love the fingerprint log in so I don't have to remember a password.

I am able to log in but once in the app, when I click on what needs to be done on my existing claim, the app freezes and shuts down. I eneded up just going through my online browser and getting my claim stuff done.
Update 8/4/2020: App is working correctly now. Am not having the same issues as i mention below. 7/1/2019:App freezes continually with newest version I would love to say what everyone else is saying about this app but when I go to type in the next field after "last name" the entire app freezes rendering it useless. Cleared all apps, restarted phone, and still does not work. Tried multiple times. My phone is still newish from 2019 so not sure why the trouble.
Like others said, it won't let me upload receipts (it insists my pdfs are some unreadable format). When I first got the app, I couldn't even register my account without it crashing. App often experiences "technical issues" that keep me from loading the app until I un- and re- install it. Two stars because the gui is slick and clean, would be lovely... if it did its job.
Why does it keep giving me unsupported file type error message when I try to attach a photo receipt? I'VE had to try on 3 separate occasions to upload documentation with no success, it keeps saying file type not supported ( using jpeg). My claim ended up being denied because I was unable to attach the documentation. Please fix! App is also very slow and laggy. Great concept but app has some major bugs that needs to be fixed.
App freezes constantly, and info is wrong compared to the desktop site. Constant errors. Updating 4/29/21 to restate how much I hate this stupid app. None of the above issues from 1/2021 have been fixed. App still freezes CONSANTLY, and I can't accomplish anything in it other than viewing my HSA balance. Seriously. The app is somehow *more* terrible than the company, and that's a tough one to pull off.
This app seems like it never works. It makes it difficult to add needed receipts etc and basically makes me not want to participate in this program at all.
Once you get the basics, your work begins. But just give them a call and you will amazed how they can help. After the call it was a very basic operation to complete!
This app has never really been user friendly, which is why I use the online web page. I tried to use it again, and as usual, there's a white screen that I have a difficult time getting out of.

No way to get into the app with reset password and worse no way to use the forgot username or password. Terrible!!! I've never had an insurance company want itemized bill for flex card and every time they hold the card until itemized is cleared. I've sent docs in to download from this app and they are missing, flex is still on hold. The whole process has hangups! I've used flex accounts and never had this experience! I can't imagine someone with a lot of doctor appointments and prescriptions!
A bit confusing. In times past I seem to remember you could review documents before upload. Now? Also, now when you upload, ....did it upload? Nothing pops up to give you clear information that the action was completed. In the future going to do everything on a desktop. Hoping that will be a better experience. This app definitely needs work. You will get it right at some point I'm sure.
Unable to upload claim files. Says I am using an invalid format, whether its jpg or PDF. I have to log in through the browser to upload the files instead, which makes using the app a moot point. I wish the app pointed out outstanding claims and needed documentation easily right from the home page.
App is easy to use and file claims!!
This app is not user friendly at all and frequently lags or loses info. Better off just using the web site.
Terrible. After moving to the 2nd registration page that allows you to create your own username won't work. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times but it continues to have the same problem. Unresponsive to anything.
Real easy to navigate the app and also much easier to file a claim then it was in the past via email, fax, and phone calls. It also seems to expedite claims to the point of them going through much quicker.
the app is easy to use! I'm not tech savy so I'm glad its easy to use. sending documents are a breeze to upload. I do it while in my car before I forget and it only takes a few seconds to upload! thank you AF mobile! I made my sister in law download this app bc she is the worst when it comes to paperwork! for sure she'll be organized with this app! HIGHLY recommend.
Good working app. At first it had some bugs but they have been fixed and it is very easy to use now and claims processing is as fast as you could hope for thanks to the direct availability of the required documents.
Since the last update the app doesn't 'fit' my phone. It is like the settings are too large and I cant see all the options. The app doesn't give an option to change the size. I have a current, up to date phone.
I've had AF for several years now through my employment. They're there when it matters. The app is easy to navigate. Filing claims and uploading paperwork is simple and well-guided. It works for me. I recommend the app.
The biometrics feature for this app is garbage. It just spins forever upon log-in, and the only way to get in is to clear the app data or re-login again with user name and password. The UI is also pretty outdated.
Two problems. 1 - The auto rotate function in the app isn't a child function of the OS. This means, even if I have auto rotate disabled on a system level, the app will rotate anyway. 2 - The documents upload function disables all file types that aren't images. So a PDF attachment has to be opened and screenshot to upload. These two issues are unacceptable for an app from a company of this size.
