Baddest App I've ever had..

The organization in this app and the way articles are categorized are in such a way that you first need to go through several categories before you get the news. In theory a new approch in practise I just end up usibg different apps ghat give me the news straight away, like Reuters and Euronews. Disappointing.

Not a very well laid out, or user friendly app. Great news source normally, but this app is not. Firstly, I cannot add topics or remove them, this is broken and does not work for me. Making it rather useless for me. I will continue to keep it in hopes that the Dev's fix it and make it better for news junkies. Until then I will continue to use my AP Mobile, BBC News, Bloomberg, NPR and Reuters apps.

NOT user friendly. No apparent way to delete topics (for example I have no interest in sports but I cannot filter out all the sports stories it produces. Also many news stories in business seem to be just press releases!) For a major news organization this is a remarkably poor offering.

A large and respected organisation such as AFP really need to find someone better to make their app, or kick the current team in the arse. It's horrendously slow downloading individual articles, on a brand new phone with lots of RAM and high speed connection. After editing the topic list and exiting the app, opening it later then all the default topics including stupid US Sports have returned! Why should I bother continuing using this app, i'll just go to their site and have fewer problems.

App taking a lot of time e to load the news and images and unable to post the news in Twitter and Facebook only link getting displayed. Irritating.

The app needs improvement on several fronts: first off it needs a breaking news push notification feature. Second, category customization is bugged: your settings never save. The idea is great but the execution is subpar, to put it lightly. A widget ala Reuters, NYT, etc would also be appreciated. The app also cannot synchronize with other apps, for instance I cannot save articles on Pocket or share them via FB-messenger.

None of the features work, the only way to use the app is going to All News and hope they are really all visualized.

BREAKING NEWS: AFP WENT BANKRUPT AND CAN'T AFFORD A DEVELOPER. Serriously AFP? Such a good news source and yet not a decent app!! The app needs a good layout, a widget, and PUSH NOTIFICATIONS! I can't go on the app every time! Thankfully there are many other great apps. This needs a fix.

The app hardly ever works! Articles will never load and many times the banner will say theres like 40 articles but its just a white screen saying theres no articles. For such a large organization, this app is complete garbage!!

Get to what you want to read. Does not seem to retain selected news categories. Must add them again each time app is opened.

I would prefer having titles and images of all new article at the forefront rather than having to drill through categories. Also, setting the categories you want to appear on the main page is tedious and it doesn't seem to work.

I tried this app on 2 different phones, one running Lollipop and the other Marshmallows, but both cannot get Internet connection when every other apps work!

The app crashes when one clicks on an article, which takes a long time to load anyway before crashing. Sharing to other platforms is difficult and so the app is terrible.

Just out of focus compared to what's going on around the globe. It seems AFP just wants me to get distracted while checking sports news

Slow to load and difficult to navigate. Needs an overhaul. But a good relatively independent source of news of you are patient enough to wait for the items to load.

I detest the changing photograph flitting across the top of the screen. It's much too distracting. It prevents me from reading the news in any language! There are no push notifications available. This may be the worst news app on the Web!

The app doesn't work right. I can't disable the default categories or select the other available categories. I HATE SPORTS AND WILL UNINSTALL THIS BECAUSE OF THAT JUNK BEING TOO MANY OF THE DEFAULT CATEGORIES I CAN NOT DISABLE OR CHANGE. ***TYPICAL FRENCH...DOES NOT WORK***

Is this a joke? I love AFP otherwise, but this app is a liability. Unorganized and unfriendly, it leaves the burden of extracting news on the user. Sorry, but I like Reuters and AP more.

Slow to launch, buttons to remove or add news categories do not work. So, certain items cannot be viewed. This App is worse than the AFP website. Plus: good news coverage.

Simply not working. To many bugs to fix. Needs total reorganization. Can't control news topics, even though it is offered... and so on.

Slick looking, but very buggy,. I can't add (or remove) news categories. I tap and nothing happens. Also, this app appears to have been abandoned. It's not been updated since January 2015! Uninstalled.

Agree with other reviews, it doesn't work well enough to keep. It's gone.

The ugliest and bad design in all apps on the play store. Really afp could not afford a real programmer?
