While I WISH I could set it to News, Not "entertainment" fluff, not videos, & also have all stories of last 3 years accessible ( this would turn it into THE "book" for learning Africa, from whiteland & Asia! : ) it is so much better than the politically-motivated/torqey/propagandist sites, that even if they keep it hobbled for my kind, it still is both useful & good. I wish also they would link to those worthy of their-own Neutral Objective reputation, so we could connect/netwrk deeper+better!
It's a very worked app that includes summaries from Africa's countries news. But it also provide short videos about those news. It's a useful source you can check a few minutes during the day and the night. I recommend it if your intention is to be updated about Africa.
This app try. Fine interface. Excellent consistent, exhaustive, but very organised and summary presentation. Focus remains very tight on Africa. In addition, offline and data saving settings very useful Just how a useful news app should be
There are someminor errors with use of English language but it is informative, clear and positive. So much news from USA&UK is so negative. I like to think the English speaking world is led by Africans but I also appreciate the French and Portuguese language using nations of Africa may lead the world better still. What matters is that the rest of the globe acknowledges that Africa leads just as well.
Great app with good news but could do better by engaging with in depth analysis and detailed information from African perspectives country to country. For now it appears to be a flash news from some countries not all.
It's so informative. I like the fact that news given are current and accurate though there have been some use of wrong English sometimes. I appreciate the app. Thumbs up.
It gives me reliable news from Africa. But improvement has to be made. Add features that can show time when an article was added.
When will they add Chromecast feature to the app. It will make it easier to watch via TV
This does not appear to be Authentic purely African Source news content. It appears to be close, but not direct, unfiltered, real, true events of those countries that the reports claim to be concerning.
The black bar at the bottom of the screen which says Home and just in needs to be removed, since it blocks the captions.
I like the news selection.It still needs to be worked on. The push notification is not working.i have to refresh as to get update
Two stars because you dont frequently update the app with current information . One news headline can be on a page for even four or more days

I only just got this app but it seems very thorough and reliable as a news source.
AfricaNews can do better by giving us more of positive news of what's happening in Africa. Also can you cover more countries in Africa too. Can do better by giving us more sections such as finance, sport, weather, Arts, etc

You are on point but improve on your offline section so that one can really read news when data is off

As a teacher of English in Senegal and an acquaintance to Wahany Johnson Sambou as well, the app has been useful so far in terms of reading and listening passages I use in my classes.
