Excellent app. Only downside is running with EdXposed the app starts but does not work properly. You need to disable the log and re enable the log to successfully boot the firewall into action. I'm hoping this can be fixed in future, it works well once the firewall kicks in after restarting the log. Also the app could use a area which allows user to view a map of connections and their input/outputs. Along with a timeline also to separate out the log. Really good app! Recommend to anyone! It is an absolutely must have app for rooted users. Allowing you to pick and choose what apps can and cannot touch the network as well as if they are able to see local is fantastic. Some of these apps dont need to be able to tuch the network and so i dont let them. For instance I use chompSMS and it can be riddled with adds but its a cellular messaging app so it doesnt need to touch the network. And keeping it from the network also help with the ads as the ads cant load thefore cant be displayed

AFWall+ is probably one of the most important apps on my phone. I like how I can leave an app's wireless capabilities off by default, essentially sandboxing it before allowing it to access the internet. My primary use case, however, is disabling access to data on my media apps. Without AFWall+, I would have drained all the data on my limited phone plan countless times. Definitely earned my donation, I've saved way more than $5.

Still wont toast anymore, just puts it in notification drop down menu - not good if you want to see your blocks while in an app to problems / blocks in real time with devices that do not have a top status bar. Mostly good but new versions will not run on CrystalSky Devices, I have to use an older version of AFAll+ on it, and a firewall is very needed on them to block DJI. Newest versions still showing blocked notifications when they were disabled but showed up anyway.

I love this app. It is the primary reason I root my phone, and I've been using it for years. I tried this donate version 1) to support the developers 2) to be able to clone profiles (rather than having to re-enter profiles that are mostly the same). However, no success at all with the cloning function so I did a refund. ☹️ Hopefully it can be working sometime soon.

It was working well until recent upgrade now sometimes it doesn't apply rule and allow all apps internet access also log function is completely broken.. Tried mailing developer few weeks ago.. Got no response.. Thought changing Rom might fix it but it didn't.. Feel like I wasted money on this app. Edit : Log function is still broken, I switched to Los seeing it is now supported.

Amazing app, been using it for years. There is however a problem with Spotify connection. It's not enough to add Spotify in the rules. Spotify unfortunately doesn't work with afwall

Won't let your VPN connect unless you disable this firewall (allowing all the things you blocked to connect) Making you choose between opening your connections or VPN is horrible. Dev introduced this bug and doesn't care. Request to fix go ignored. He was plenty happy to take my $$ but fix a bug that reduces security, not a peep.

The app does not support multiple account profiles on Samsung galaxy. Apps on the 2nd profile are blocked. And they 2nd profile apps don't appear on Firewall rules, but showed up in logs as denied. Help!

Had to roll back to v3.3.1 on my OnePlus 7T pro, Android 10 running Tasker. It keeps erroring out applying firewall rules when switching profiles. Anything newer than 3.3.1 causes this issue. Otherwise a great app.

does not seem to be able to allow wifi hotspot clinets to pass through with everything else blocked on the phone. Have tried to allow the relative system and core apps but does not seem to help..?

Allow all apps connected not matter the rules! Version 3.3.0 and OpenVPN. I tried to clean app data and import the rules but again it allow all app connect. I just see it days ago... Maybe weeks unprotected! I do not wait this for an important security app :(

I just realised I've been using this for many years and is something I couldn't go without, I should have got the donate version a long time ago! Thanks for the app and the work you put in.

Been using for years, still excellent! But I agree with another reviewer, the new persistent notification bar icon must be made optional asap.

What can I say about this app. It is just essential security function. If an app doesn't need Internet you block it and problem solved. Of course it needs root to function.

Easy to use and came a long way from its infancy, developer is always hands-on with the application and improving it.

Hi. Mobile data not working in Android 10. Beta version working fine. I can't import settings in it.

Edit: Logs are empty after the latest update - tested on Android P and Q in v3.2.0 but are functional in the test build. Overall a stable app!

Developer responded promptly to needed option to disable persistent notifications. Great job!

Since the last update... Afwall shows always the icon in the statusbar, but the opttion to show the icon is disabled...

It does what it says. Amazing firewall app , specially if you are rooted.

Why hasn't the 1052 UID tether issue been fixed in this latest version?

Must have app if you value privacy. Running paid version to help support devs.

With xposed Afwall module enabled all rules and settings are cleared after reboot.
